Procedural Sound-Based Elements in Games
Testovanie s uživateľmi a experimentácia demonstrujú potenciál navrhnutej implementácie a funkcionalite pluginu. Zámer tohto projektu je inšpirovať inováciu v tejto sfére a využiť hudbu ako kreatívny nástroj do nie len hier ale aj ostatných digitálnych medii.
Using the Unity game engine
Dundálek, Martin ; Lang, Stanislav (referee) ; Roupec, Jan (advisor)
In this bachelor's thesis, the concept of a game engine will be discussed, a brief history of game engines will be described and the reader will be introduced to game engines used by companies developing video games that are not available to the public ("in-house" engines). In the second part of the work, a program solution to the mechanics of the game will be written, an introduction and a brief description of the 3D modeling program Blender, which the author used to create models for the game, an introduction and a brief description of the environment of the Unity engine itself, and the conclusion will deal with the Heaven Square Station game created by the author.
Building Game
Moudrý, Daniel ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The content of this thesis is the design and implementation of a computer game focused on survival and building in Unity game engine. This is preceded by theoretical passages containing the description of principles, patterns, methodologies and software architectures used. These are common and well known, although not always used, best practices.
Infinity Runner Game
Pech, Martin ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is to design and implement an endless runner game. The game was created based on an analysis of modern techniques used in the development of computer and mobile games, which is part of this work. The final implementation demonstrates a thorough understanding and effective use of modern game development approaches. A critical feature of games of this type is a dynamically generated game environment. To create such environments, procedural generation techniques using a pseudorandom number generator were utilized. Additionally, appropriate optimization strategies, notably the Object Pool design pattern, were employed to ensure smooth gameplay even in demanding scenarios. The game was developed using the Unity Game Engine. The game serves not only as a practical example of the application of studied techniques but also as a functional and entertaining product for potential players. Beyond the endless runner mode, the game features a campaign mode and several unique game mechanics, such as rocket jumping, which distinguish it from existing titles. The game also addresses shortcomings found in competing games. The game is thematically set during the Christmas season.
Detektivní hra s prvky dobrodružství
Garipova, Dinara ; Vlnas, Michal (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the work is to design and create a detective computer game with elements of the adventure genre, designed to deeply immerse players in an interactive story using visual novel mechanics and puzzles. The game consists of a main and a secondary part, where in the former the player is immersed in the story through dialogues. The main task of the player is to solve the mystery of the ancient village using clues and solving puzzles. The secondary parts consist of various mini-games aimed at training memory, logical thinking and reaction speed. The resulting application was created using the Unity game development engine and tested with Google forms.
Complex Scene Rendering on Mobile Devices
Matýšek, Michal ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis presents optimization techniques for efficient rendering of complex scenes on mobile devices. The introductory part of the text describes Unity game engine and the topic of mobile game development using this tool. Then follows a presentation of important optimization principles and methods for terrain rendering, large scale rendering of animated objects, rendering of animated water surfaces and of other elements in the scenes. The described methods include both general principles of optimization and specific optimization approaches based on the features of Unity game engine. The implementation of presented methods is described and used in practice in the context of mobile strategy game development.
Educational Cross Platform Mobile Game for Youngsters
Janeček, David ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Pastushenko, Olena (advisor)
Tato práce se zabývá vývojem multiplatformní vzdělávací hry na mobilní zařízení. Nejdříve je uvedena teorie a rozbor existujících her. Dále jsou v práci zmíněny některé možnosti tvorby takové hry a konečně popis návrhu, tvorby a testování samotné hry s využitím herního enginu Unity.
Localization of the medical working tool on the patient's body
Charvát, Jakub ; Gábrlík, Petr (referee) ; Chromý, Adam (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to create a system that will assist doctors in localizing and relocalizing positions on the human body. The considered use-case is the dermatological diagnosis of skin diseases. The thesis includes the design and implementation of a localization system for a medical instrument and a demonstration application. The system stores positions on a unique 3D model of a specific patient taken by a 3D scanner. According to the tests performed in the last part of the thesis, the proposed system can localize positions on the human body with accuracy in units of millimeters.
