International Trade and Competitiveness of Ukraine

This work deals with the theoretical concept of national competitiveness, analyzes the development of Ukraine's foreign trade in selected areas and measures competitiveness of Ukraine using an alternative method of measurement. This method is based on analysis of comparative advantages in foreign trade of Ukraine and the extent of their use. The results are compared with selected international competitiveness rankings. As these rankings, also this work evaluates Ukraine as a little competitive, but with the improving trends.
The current trade policy of the Ukraine

The first chapter characterizes the current economic situation and foreign trade of the Ukraine. The second chapter analyzes internal and external trade policy of the country including characteristics of instruments of trade, innovative and exports policy. The last chapter concerns with the proces of Ukrainian accession to the World Trade Organization.

The Palanok is one of the most beautiful castles in Zakarpatsky region. The main idea of my final thesis is to describe the importance of the castle for the purposes of the travel industry for Zakarpatsky region, to introduce the information about modern situation on the premises and to describe the whole expansion of the travel industry in Ukraine.

The Bachelor thesis named The Development of Ukrainian Economy after the Orange Revolution is dedicated to the development of Ukrainian economy after the so called Orange Revolution in Ukraine. The aim of the Bachelor thesis is the comparison of different developments of it's economical indicators before and after presidential election in 2004 and their impact on strengthening of the pro-European orientation of Ukraine. The last chapter is concerned with the process of Ukrainian accession to the Word trade organization.

This thesis is dedicated to franchising and gives the perspective on it as the most suitable form of entrance to a foreign market. The objective of the work is making the analysis of possible practical implementation of franchising in the Ukraine. The first section of the thesis is focusing on theoretical aspects of penetration into foreign market. A careful examination is given to the main reasons for entrance into foreign markets. Then the reader is introduced to the most common forms of entrance: merger, license, direct export etc. The reader will have the opportunity to get introduced to the detailed analysis of definitions and issues directly connected to franchising. The second section has a practical nature and is dedicated to franchising application in the conditions of the Ukraine.

The consolidation trend in banking

This work investigates quickly developing consolidation trend in banking. The first part of the work is devoted to the theoretical basis, definitions, reasons for mergers and acquisitions, positive and negative consequences of consolidation. Special attention is paid to banking mergers and acquisitions (M&A), to their financing and regulation. The second chapter examines banking M&A process in detail, including models, which could be used during particular stages. The third chapter discusses development of the consolidation trend in Europe focused on Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine. The influence of the banking M&A on those countries' banking systems development is examined. Legal requirements and problems, which could occur in connection with banking M&A in these countries, are also discussed in this chapter. In the work were used some real banking M&A examples, illustrative examples for better understanding models, used in the M&A process, and case study as an illustration of the M&A process in the CIS countries.
Impact of Foreign Aid on Economic Development of Ukraine

This bachelor work contains appraisal of effect of foreign aid on economic growth of Ukraine. In theoretic part are described views on economic growth, effect of institutions as one of the most important factors of economic growth. At last, importance of foreign aid is summed up also with principles and philosophy of foreign aid. Analytic part aims at case of Ukraine. It describes Ukraine's situation from economic and political point of view. Next it focuses on institutional enviroment, reasons of Ukraine's fall and economic growth. It evaluate the impact of foreign aid on growth. It depicts operation of extralegal sector on land reform and land-sale moratorium and involvement of foreign aid in Ukraine.
Importance of institutional environment for entrepreneurship

The bachelor thesis is concerned with the problems of institutional environment and its influence over the business activity. It defines its basic theory and relation to enterpreneurship. The bachelor thesis tries to solve the question, whether the institutional environment is the most important factor in entrepreneur's decision making on investment. In the analytical part the two countries - Czech Republic and Ukraine are compared from the viewpoint of institutional environment and other factors that can act by investment decision making (average monthly wage, tax burden, infrastructure). The research has been extended to the analysis of contemporary extent of foreign direct investment in both countries. Based on gathered facts it evaluates the importance of institutional environment for entrepreneurship.
