Analysis of Heating Systems for Family House
Holubka, Oleksandr ; Elbl, Patrik (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is the assessment of options and innovations when it comes to heating of family houses. These options are then compared. In the last part of this thesis, the gathered insight is used for a technical and economical evaluation and subsequent proposal of a heating system of the model house.
Advanced Stochastic Programming Models in Power Engineering
Pavelka, Ondřej ; Štětina, Josef (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis applies stochastic optimization in the field of the power engineering. In the thesis first part, the needed mathematical theory is described, specifically mathematical, linear, nonlinear, integer and stochastic programming. The second part deals with the heating plant, in which heat is generated by gas and biomass boilers. The aim of this thesis is to design a model for the schedule planning of these boilers. The model is based on two stage stochastic programming with scenario approach. Then the model is solved by GAMS software. In the final part of the text, the focus is on the model sensitivity analysis and suggestions for future improvement.
Analyses of the Compressed Air Energy Storage proces in Ansys Fluent system
Hájková, Věra ; Šabacká, Pavla (referee) ; Maxa, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis discusses different types of energy storage in the introduction. It describes the different technologies, their functions, advantages and disadvantages. It compares them on the basis of the ESOI ratio, which is the ratio of energy stored on invested. The main type of energy storage covered in the term paper is compressed air energy storage. The thesis describes the principle of a method of energy storage as well the companies and projects that are working on or using this technology. Furthermore, the issue of heat energy loss during air compression is outlined, which leads to a significant reduction in efficiency. The last part of the thesis is a practical part, which uses a model example to show the temperature and pressure evolution during the pumping of air into the storage tank.
Modelling of a heat water exchanger and its regulation
Černík, Michal ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Mihálik, Ondrej (advisor)
The thesis deals with the modelling of a hot water heat exchanger station and its control. It includes project documentation, with theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is dealing with theoretical knowledge about every used element that is used in the design. The practical part deals with the implementation of the electrical wiring of the station, its connection with the control automaton, design of the mathematical model, simulation and design of the controller.
Cooling systems of battery vehicle
Šimáček, Daniel ; Hvožďa, Jiří (referee) ; Bartuli, Erik (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of cooling systems for electric vehicles. The first part is devoted to the theoretical description of the components producing the largest part of the heat - the battery and the electric motor. Heat transfer theory is also mentioned to better relate the cooling issues. The second part focuses on the description of the current cooling approaches for the electric vehicle components - battery and electric motor. The section on electric motor cooling includes a comparison of cooling approaches with the internal combustion engine. Alternative cooling methods are described in next section.
Students preconceptions about heat and temperature
Čečák, Michal ; Mandíková, Dana (advisor) ; Kácovský, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with the preconceptions and misconceptions of students in the field of heat and temperature. Here is an overview of textbooks for elementary and secondary schools with topics concerning heat and temperature. This thesis contains a brief characteristic of notions preconceptions and misconceptions, characteristic of Active Learning methods and characteristic of Interactive Lecture Demonstrations. This thesis also contains research of Students preconceptions and misconceptions about heat and temperature (mainly students of grammar schools). For this research was used HTCE test. Results of the research are processed for all students and for students of each class. There are three worksheets (translated from English), which should help with removing misconceptions.
Calculation of thermal resistance of finned heatsink
Kyanka, Radim ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the problem with analytical calculations needed to define thermal resistance of finned heat sinks. First it describes how temperature proceeds at different boundary conditions at fin tip. Than it describes different mechanisms of heat transfer, equlation of heat resistance especially of natural and forced convection. To verify the results there is comparison between analytical equlations written in Matlab program and measuring results.
Energy usage of beer production
Maťa, Jakub ; Tuhovčák, Ján (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of energy consumption of beer production. The first part focuses on the technology of beer production itself, the understanding of which is a key prerequisite for assessing the possibility of using a heat pump for this process. The main part then describes the individual processes and their energy consumption. Finally, it evaluates the use of a heat pump and shows if it could reduce the energy requirements of beer production.
Energy supply for greenhouse production
Najbrtová, Zuzana ; Poláčik, Ján (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The import of the vegetable has prevailed in the long run over the own production. In connection with this reality and increasing demand for the food with higher quality the production greenhouse is more often built. The providing heat, cold and electricity for the year-round operation is related to the construction and working of these objects. The theoretical part of this theses describes possible ways how to cover energy consumption for the model greenhouse in Kožichovice, Třebíč region. The heat losses and the year-round heat consumption were stated for the selected model and compared with the exact values from Kožichovice. The following method of energy supply was selected based on the calculated energy consumption - the separate cogeneration unit, cooperation of several cogeneration units, a biogas station, a heat pump and central heating system. These methods of energy supply were subjected to technical and economical comparison.
