Impact of the economic sanctions against Russia on economy of Belarus

This bachelor thesis analyses impact of the economic sanctions, which were applied against Russia in 2014, on Belarusian economy. The aim of this work is to discover, what are the impact of the economic restrictions against Russia and reciprocal product embargo by Russia, on Belarusian economy. This thesis consists of three parts. In the first part there is a brief overview of the economic development of Belarus before application of sanctions and analysis of dependence of Belarusian economy on the economy of Russia. In the second part of the thesis reasons and substance of the applied sanctions against Russia and their impact on Russian economy will be analyzed. The final part is aimed to discover the impact of the sanctions on the economy of Belarus.
Cultural standarts of Russia

The first part is focused on theoretical information. There I introduced all the key terms and mentioned the most famous expert studies. I focused not only on cultural standarts in overal, but also specifically on cultural standarts of the Czech republic and Russia. The second part is all based about Russia. There are basic information, history and political and economical situations introduced. The third part is practical. I compared the cultural standarts of the Czech republic and Russia. I also compared results of specialists analysis with my own analysis, based on a questionnaire.
Newly inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Europe in connection with tourism

This bachelor´s thesis is focused on German and Russian UNESCO World Heritage Sites which have been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004 and it concentrates primarily on their connection with tourism. The connection with tourism is evaluated via various attendance statistics, a transportation accessibility, an entrance fee, a type of promotion, a quality and a quantity of accompanying programs and services provided by the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Afterwards there is a comparison between a touristic attractiveness of the German UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a touristic attractiveness of the Russian UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the thesis. A processing and an evaluation of discovered data, statistics and of a method of the comparison between Germany and Russia enable to determine at the end of the thesis which of the inscribed World Heritage Sites in Germany and in Russia since 2004 show the biggest connection with tourism and whether Germany or Russia meets more potentials for tourism development from the point of view of the newly inscribed UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Censorship of internet in Russia

The target of the thesis to reveal how much is possible to find out the truth about sensitive governmental topics from Russian mass media. In thesis will be compared results from Google and another search engine with results from another countries where that search engines is located. The thesis will be supported by citizen of Russian Federation and employee of anti propagandistic department in Brussels. Theoretical part of thesis will be dealing with censorship on the internet in general and ways how it could be realized. In thesis will be outline opportunities how censorship could be ignored. In practical part will be compared results from Russian search engine with Czech and another theirs American and European versions. Trough tracing will try to find out where exactly come about blocking of data retrieval and handling with results in case it will be manifested
Economic cooperation between Russia and Ukraine

The bachelor thesis deals with economic cooperation between Russia and Ukraine. The economic development of both countries since the disintregation of the Soviet Union up to the present day is teoretically defined in the first chapter. In the second chapter international trade in these two countries is being evaluated. An emphasis is put on territorial infrastructure, commodity structure and direct foreign investment. The third, final chapter deals with the Crimea problem and thus the conflict in the eastern Ukraine. The last subhead evaluates the posibility of future economic growth in Ukraine.
Digital diplomacy - comparison of the USA and Russia

International relations are being influenced by progress in science and technology since its beginning. The newest mass medium, the Internet, has also significant impact on the form and development of diplomacy and international relations. These changes are most apparent on the form of public diplomacy and lead up to the creation of its new form digital diplomacy. Digital diplomacy is a topical issue in the theory of international relations, therefore there is no uniform definition of this new term. One of the goals of this thesis is to explain what digital diplomacy andto specify its characteristic features. The practical part of this thesis deals with digital diplomacy of the United States of America in comparison with digital diplomacy of the Russian Federation. The main goal of this thesis is to assess whether there exists a russian digital diplomacy and to specify its main characteristic features in comparison with digital diplomacy of the United States.
Comparison of VAT systems in EU and Russia

This thesis focuses on the charakteristic of the specifics and the comparison of the existing systems of value-added tax in the European union and Russian federation. In the theoretical part, which consists of two chapters, both systems are particularly characterized. In the practical part there are compared the amount of revenue generated from the VAT into budgets of the EU and Russia, the basic elements of the tax systems, with an emphasis on the regulations of the Czech republic. Also the differences and the reason which cause this are analyzed. The importance of the given topic rises on the indirect taxation's shifting trends, as VAT still remains one of the prominent tax of this kind.
Insurance fraud on Russian insurance market

This bachelor thesis deals with description of insurance fraud on Russian insurance market, describes the insurance industry of Russia, its regulation and trends. Theoretical part begins from general definition of insurance market, describes the situation on Russian insurance market and also defines insurance fraud. Then, there are the analysis of individual fraud in the life and non-life insurance, methods of fighting against fraud and ways of prevention. Further thesis describes fraud indicators and their economic assessment. The conclusion of this thesis is a practical part, which testing three selected companies in order to evaluate the extent of their vulnerability to the fraud.
Strategic partnership between Germany and Russia

This diploma thesis focuses on analysis and evaluation of the German-Russian strategic partnership from the German point of view. The aim of this thesis is to answer a question, whether Russia had ever been or still is a strategic partner of Germany, or whether the establishment of the German-Russian strategic partnership remains rather a political goal than the reality. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the theoretical definition of the strategic partnership and indentifies key characteristics of this concept. The analytical part is divided into separate chapters analysing individual dimensions of the German-Russian relations: economic, energetic, security and political. The final chapter sets the goal to summarise and to evaluate the main findings arising from the previous chapters and to answer the research question, whether Russia can be or in the past could be considered a German strategic partner.
Amibitons, acomplishments and perspectives of the BRICS countries.

The primary objective of this work is to comprehensively evaluate the capacity of the BRICS to achieve its objectives by mutual cooperation, based on the confrontation of the declared aims of the group itself during its annual summits with real achievements. The secondary aim of the study is to estimate the direction in which the cooperation between the BRICS will be heading in the future and to define possible challenges threatening its success. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first part the author describes the genesis of the term "BRICS", and then continues by describing the essential characteristics of individual BRICS countries and their mutual similarities and differences. In the second, main part, the author evaluates the extent of fulfillment of individual goals set during the BRICS summits, taking place annually since 2009. The author evaluates seven selected key goals by analyzing the reasons for their implementation, proposed methods of implementation, the steps taken for their fulfillment, the effectiveness of these steps and the current status. Subsequently, in a similar manner author evaluates several sub-targets. In the third part, the author presents the expectations for the forthcoming BRICS summit, outlines possible directions that will be taken by BRICS in the future and identifies the weaknesses threatening their successful cooperation.
