TITLE: Activating Strategies of Managing Students' Learning Process in Chemistry AUTHOR: Št pán Gabriel DEPARTMENT: Department of Chemistry and Chemistry Education VEDOUCÍ PRÁCE: PhDr. Martin Rusek ABSTRACT This thesis is focused on literature-search evaluation of modern methods applied in chemistry education. Firstly, the development of chemistry education from the beginnings of the Czech schooling system until present is briefly described. Further, currently the most widely discussed methods used in Science education eventually Chemistry were defined based on the analysis of scientific literature and other available electronic resources. These methods are briefly characterized; an evaluation of the possibility of their usage in teaching practice in terms of Czech schools is made not only with regards to the educational reality in schools, but also with respect to the law (Framework Educational Programmes). Remembrance of 17th November 1989 in Primary Education

This thesis is focused on the issue of the anniversary of November 17, specifically from the point of view of teaching at the primary school in Kunratice. In the first part, the reader is briefly acquainted with the school curriculum and its development, the anchoring of project teaching and support of this method of teaching at Kunratice Elementary School. The next part of the work consists of an analysis of the events of November 17, 1939 and 1989, scrutinizing these events from the present perspective, and subsequent generalization of the topic with concepts and facts from a didactic perspective. The main part of the work deals with the preparation of project teaching on the mentioned topic with applying methods of self-teaching and evaluation of the impact of the project. The result of this work are two cases of project teaching, including the process of preparation and development of methodology from the perspective of a member of the preparatory team, team leader and then from the perspective of a class teacher who implements the teaching in his class. Both the cases of project teaching are implemented in successive school years 2020 and 2021, while in the first case it is an implementation in the form of an online project teaching in only one day and in the second case two-day full-time...

The work is based on theoretical findings on key competences, constructivist concept of teaching, organisational forms of teaching and project-based learning, which are then used in the practical part. In the practical part, the thesis aims present the functioning of the project and, based on a combination of qualitative and quantitative research, to present the results of the impact of the "Trade days" project on the development of key competencies and the overlap of this development into the future life of school graduates. Musical Activities In The International Pre-Schools in Prague

This work analyses music activities of English-speaking children of pre-school age, attending international schools in Prague, following the British Curricula. The goal of this work is to develop and to validate teaching materials of musical activities, supporting children with different native languages from the language of the teaching material, those in transition period, and those with communication barriers, and to offer concrete implementation strategies for teachers of music in both Czech and international schools. The theoretical part compares Czech and British music curricula for pre-school children. It defines terms such as transition period and describes its course in Czech and international environments. Furthermore, it addresses the role of music during this stage of development and explains the concepts of project-based learning and music integration project. As theoretical underpinning for the practical portion, the work offers detailed discussion of musical factors, syllabic structure both in English and Czech language, and the variations in interpretation of musical fairy tales. 3A Analysis of a School Activity with an Emphasis on Project-based Education Features

The thesis focuses on a school project on the topic of waste. The project is analysed and evaluated using the 3A methodology. The emphasis in the examination and evaluation of individual activities is placed primarily on the use of project elements and compliance with the principles of project-based learning. The content of the theoretical part deals with the chapter about project-based learning and the principles of this learning. This section also discusses the advantages and disadvantages of the method. Further, the work presents an analysis of the current curricular document from the perspective of project teaching and waste. The last part of the theory describes the characteristics of methodology 3A. The practical part deals with the description, analysis, evaluation, and design of convenient alterations of project activities. The thesis also contains a draft for other activities with project elements on the topic of waste, which can be included in the existing project. The use of children's musical in the process of teaching music

This diploma thesis introduces children's musical as a didactic tool at primary schools. This work maps the influence of creative playwright on the development of musical abilities, skills and creativities. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis defines the term "musical". It briefly describes the origin of the musical as a genre. The practical part brings possibilities of using a musical as a means of an educational process. It provides particular demonstrative situations which lead to development of the crucial competences of the students. The author of the musical is the author of this diploma thesis. She herself translates the music recording, scenario, and methodical material. The method, that has been used for the field research, is a systemic observation which is divided into ten lessons in the form of a project-based learning. This thesis deals with an issue, whether the musical enables an active engagement of the pupils in the musical educational process. The hypotheses, which have been set, are verified by the means of collective reflection from which follows students' higher motivation for musical activity. Time traveling through the town Aš : A history project

This diploma thesis deals with the history of the town Aš. The first historical part describes the history of the town since the first mentions to the present days. During the historical development of the region as well as the town itself the diploma thesis focuses mainly on the interesting or unusual events or the differences between the development of the Czech territory central region and the region of Aš. In this diploma thesis is also emphasised the historical development of the textile industry that was interwoven with this region. The didactic part depicts the topic connected with the educational area called Man and his world, specifically describes the thematic areas Place where we live and Man and Time. It also describes the connection between the historical education and project-based learning. The project Time traveling through the town Aš focuses on getting to know the region for the fourth graders. The pupils work with historical materials, meet the town's history and compare the historical and present situations. The project helps the pupils understand the particularity of the place they live in and helps them create a favourable relationship with the town. Project Teaching in Science Education at School in Most Region

This diploma thesis deals with the inclusion of project days in Natural history lessons at elementary schools in Most and nearby villages. The diploma thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part is devoted to origin and history of project-based learning in the world and in czech schools, theoretical concepts that are directly related to project-based learning, and also the incusion of project-based learning into present educational proces, advantages and disadvantages of project-based learning. The research part of the thesis and the main research problem focuses on using the project-based learning at primary school. The research part is the result of a questionnaire survey that I realized at selected elementary schools. In the process of researching was used a questionnaire method, which i sone of the most common tools for data collection. Teachers from these schools took care of completing the statistical data. The questionnaire was created and distributed electronically. In the practical part I present the project day "Tree Day" which I realized at lower secondery school Obránců míru in Most. The Technical Monuments in Plzeň Region And How to Use Them in Primary School

This diploma thesis is focused on technological sights located in the Pilsen region. The selection contains only those technological sights that are suitable for primary schools. The theoretical section introduces terms project and project-based learning. It describes the realization of a project, its advantages and difficulties. It explores extensively the educational theme A human and His World, technology education and technological literacy. The end of the theoretical section deals with the term technological sight and also the characteristics of six selected technological sights in the Pilsen region. The practical section of the thesis involves a field research of technological sights, planning field trips, possibility to join a field trip to a selected project for primary school pupils and in the end also creating worksheets for field trips.
