Visual experince as example and pattern in relation to the expansion and influence into human life

The main theme of this dissertation is to define an image as a visual experience. The human interaction is described by the author himself as a perception of the image, which serves as an information unit that could be presented as a possibility, example and pattern for the individual. There is an emphasis on the process of perception itself and on the way of interaction of an individual emphasizing the context of social learning and imitation in this text. The analysis of the principles of this interaction leading into introduction of the partial interactive models covering these processes is formed by the essential plane. The structure of the thesis is divided into ten main chapters in which the author tries to introduce a category of perception, a definition of the image and imitation as a tool of cultural transmission, presentation of the units of this transmission, the process of the interaction itself and analogous example of the fundamental role that a person in this interaction holds. There are also three analogies of these roles, which refer to the anthropological universal interaction describing the man as a gatherer and hunter. The Motivation Issue of Upper Primary Students

The aims of this thesis is to map all issues related to learning motivation (or lack of it) of upper primary students. It tries to analyze factors that reduce or complicate motivation at school and it focuses on the most common consequences of frustration in school environment - boredom and anxiety. It also deals with possibilities how to arouse cognitive, achievement and social needs which play the key role at school, and it attempts to answer questions about the ways a teacher can increase upper primary students' motivation for learning, taking into account the specifics of their ontogeny. Special attention connected with this issue is devoted to the influence of teacher-pupil interaction. The empirical part provides insights from practice, these insights are regarded as a complement of the theoretical part.

Imagines in your Mind: iconographic and iconologic aspects of some themes of contemporary visual culture

The final work of the Bachelor degree titled Living in us deals with iconographic and iconological aspects of certain themes of contemporary visual culture. It focuses on Advertising which maps from the point of view of development and its facilities whilst ignoring the effects on the recipient. Terrain research endeavours to reach this via its eventual analysis. The work attempts to answer via questionnaire the question whether the adversing which we are surrounded by is linked to preconceptions of christian culture. The educational file of work is represented by an accompanying installation program of works by Adriena Simotova. The artistically applied theme rellies on the direct coherent phenomenon of 30 Advertising. The result is an advert on Christianity which I created in accordance with the results of the questionairre. These outlined ' today's person's' idea of paradise which became the motive for a completed advertising leaflet.

Transformations of the Gothic in Victorian Ghost Stories

Thesis abstract This thesis will focus on the ways in which the transformations in nineteenth-century Gothic stories mirror the gradual changes in the Victorian society's notions about perception and about the metaphysical. The nineteenth century marks a time when advances in science made it clear that not seeing something does not mean that it does not exist, and when psychologists made it clear that seeing something does not necessarily mean it does exist. Moreover, the nineteenth century was a time when religious notions that were previously accepted without question started to be doubted. When people lost their faith in the unseen and at the same time became aware that their eyes are not sufficient to see everything and that their mind may play tricks on them, the notion of reality was increasingly problematized, which is made especially clear in the genre of the Gothic. It could be argued that while the basic tropes of the Gothic remain more or less the same; however, the way they are used, the reactions of the protagonists as well as the general outlook of the story are problematized by newly introduced ideas about vision and human mind. Crime and perceptions of safety in housing estate - Case study Černý Most

This Master Thesis deals with the issue of crime and the perception of safety on the example of a housing estate area. In this case, it is a case study of the housing estate Černý Most. The basic principle is to provide a subjective perspective on the perceptions of safety of the inhabitants in the investigated area and to monitor the issue of what personal experience these residents realistically have with crime. The Thesis also seeks to identify the places that residents consider to be dangerous for them, which evoke the feeling of fear in them and to find out how their behavior changes in these places. Where applicable, to identify the similarities of these places, to trace if there are similar characteristics or whether it is the social and physical environment of the settlement itself that adds to the increased sense of fear. Moreover, work of the police and prevention against crime in the given location will be mentioned.

New Faces

The project New Faces is a series of portraits dealing with the theme of identity and its loss, human individuality and the phenomenon of ideal of beauty. Each of paintings depict different views on the same face, base on personal confessions of portrayed and his friends. Thus we can observe confrontation of the "subjective" and the "objective", where this supposed "objectivity" acquire the relative value in the context of other pictures. The project points to the problem of self-perception and it explores how human perception distorts the reality, especially if more factors (than just a visual image of reality) affects the person.

Determinanty percepce krajiny u studentů středních škol

In this thesis, we analyzed the perception of landscape during education. It is presented as constructive process determined by evolutionary aspects, ontegenesis, personal and social specificity. Students´ misconceptions of landscape are presented as natural process during knowledge integration, which has to be diagnosed and solved. Different aspect of education can affect students´personality toward the development of not only kognitive, but also affective dimensions. By this, students´ attidudes toward landscape can be steered. The attention is foccused on the student perception of present landscape and understanding ofexistence of landscape micsonceptions among students. Variables such as teachers´ personal attitudes or certain activation methods were found to be related to students´concept of the landscape. Fulfilling of educational goals by teachers was not found significant for students´landscape perception.

Aesthetic Distance in Music and its Manifestations

In this work, I will be engaged in aesthetic reception and perception of artistic and also non-artistic objects, which main or ulterior contens is music. Main focus of the work will be observation of transformation of aesthetic distance of subject in dependence on particular types and tendencies of music and their activities and on inner dispositions of subject, too. I will try to differentiate elementary types of music in consonance with considerations of their inner distance and sketch historical origin and evolution of their forms, too. Fundamental task is answer the question, if there is threat of lack of distance in music of modern time in general caused by under-distance or over-distance. As the source, I will use the work of Edward Bullough {\clqq}Psychical distance`` as a factor in art and aesthetic principle.
