Práce si klade za cíl zmapovat problematiku související s motivací k učení (respektive jejím nedostatkem) u žáků druhého stupně základních škol. Pokouší se analyzovat vlivy, které motivaci ve škole snižují či komplikují, a zaměřuje se na nejčastější následky frustrace potřeb ve školním prostředí - nudu a strach. Zároveň se zabývá možnostmi vzbuzování potřeb poznávacích, výkonových a sociálních, které pro motivaci ve škole hrají klíčovou roli, a snaží se odpovědět na otázky po způsobech a prostředcích, jimiž lze motivaci k učení žáků, s přihlédnutím k jejich vývojovým specifikům, zvýšit. Zvláštní pozornost v souvislosti s tímto tématem je věnována vlivu interakce učitel - žák. Empirická část obsahuje postřehy z praxe; tyto postřehy tvoří doplněk k poznatkům z teoretické části. The aims of this thesis is to map all issues related to learning motivation (or lack of it) of upper primary students. It tries to analyze factors that reduce or complicate motivation at school and it focuses on the most common consequences of frustration in school environment - boredom and anxiety. It also deals with possibilities how to arouse cognitive, achievement and social needs which play the key role at school, and it attempts to answer questions about the ways a teacher can increase upper primary students' motivation for learning, taking into account the specifics of their ontogeny. Special attention connected with this issue is devoted to the influence of teacher-pupil interaction. The empirical part provides insights from practice, these insights are regarded as a complement of the theoretical part.
