Professional development of pedagogical staff in kindergartens - a case study

The topic of the thesis is professional development of pedagogical staff in a selected kindergarten - a case study. The thesis is primarily focused on the education of teaching staff in pre-school institutions. The motivation for the author of the thesis was her personal interest in current trends in the professional development of teaching staff and also the development of teaching staff she is responsible for in the kindergarten where she works. The author structured her thesis into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part defines the key concepts mentioned in the thesis related to the professional growth of teaching staff in kindergartens, the competences of teaching staff and last but not least the risks associated with the professional growth of teaching staff. The empirical part maps the issues of professional development of pedagogical staff in the selected kindergarten, a semi-structured interview was used for the research, carried out with the head and teachers of the kindergarten. Kratom as a candidate for a new topic in chemical education

The bachelor thesis aims to raise awareness of interested parties about the psychoactive substance kratom and to highlight the issue of kratom in today's society. It places the substance in a historical context and describes its different varieties together with its chemical content, phytochemistry, preparation, and use. The work also aims to outline the issue of kratom in terms of its addictive potential, legislation and places the issue in a school environment. Through two case studies, using data collection methods in the form of semi-structured interview, survey, and data analysis, specific situations of kratom use by school students, the approach of teachers together with the chosen solution, and the students' and teachers' attitudes towards the issue at hand are described. The whole work then sets the basis for a possible introduction of the kratom topic into chemistry lessons, for example through chemistry textbooks. The data obtained confirmed the increasing incidence of kratom use by secondary school students and the existence of kratom as one of the current topics among the young generation. A young man with stuttering

The topic of the bachelor thesis is a young adult with stuttering. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part contains three chapters. The theoretical background of the thesis was prepared by a research of Czech and foreign literature and electronic information sources. The first chapter defines stuttering, then describes the etiology, symptomatology and classification of stuttering. In the second chapter attention is paid to speech therapy intervention in stuttering. Speech diagnostics of stuttering and speech therapy for stuttering are described in more detail in two subchapters. The third theoretical chapter presents current research on stuttering in adults. These researches were conducted in the Czech Republic and abroad. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part, which is presented in the fourth chapter. The main aim of the empirical part of the bachelor thesis is to identify and describe the life course of a young adult with stuttering. Assessment strategies in Civic education

The aim of the diploma thesis is to document the issue of assessment in civic education at an elementary school by conducting a case study. The study was conducted through an in- depth interview with the teacher, a focus group interview with the students, and participatory observation. The collected data was subsequently analyzed using open coding and further interpreted using the ‚card sorting' method. The result is a perspective on assessment from both the teacher's and students' viewpoints compared with observations of specific teaching sessions. The results of this study were evaluated and further discussed from the perspective of the specifics of civic education. Additional potential options for utilizing assessment methods, tools, and techniques were proposed with consideration of the possibilities and goals of the particular teacher. This work can be considered beneficial for other teachers as it contributes to a better understanding of the assessment issues in civic education and offers specific suggestions and recommendations for improving this area. This contributes to enhancing the quality of teaching and supporting further professional development, not only for the author but also for other teachers. Evaluation of Efficiency and Risks of Investment Project

This bachelor thesis evaluates the efficiency and risks of an investment project of a family terraced house in Slatina, Brno. The aim is to analyze four options of the building use: reconstruction with rent, new building with rent, reconstruction with sale and new building with sale. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and methodologies for financial analysis and risk assessment. The practical part deals with the case study and financial analyses of each option. The conclusion offers a comparison of the options and recommendations for investors.
Economic efficiency of a photovoltaic power plant

This bachelor thesis, called Economic Efficiency of a Photovoltaic Power Plant, discusses the economic efficiency of a photovoltaic power plant and the financing of such a technology. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts related to photovoltaic technology, methods of financing and indicators for evaluating the economic efficiency of investment projects. The practical part of the case study evaluates an investor's investment plan for the construction of a photovoltaic power plant on the roof of production halls. Based on the input values, an economic analysis was developed and indicators of economic efficiency were elaborated.

This paper examines current trends and developments in the early childhood care and education system in England. The aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive understanding of English early childhood education. The thesis focuses on the current anchoring of early childhood care and education in the English education system. It provides an analysis and deeper insight into the circumstances of the emergence, progress and direction of current reforms and trends. The thesis is framed by a qualitative research paradigm while the research design is a single country case study using content analysis of documents, semi-structured expert interviews and participant observation. The thesis captures the historical background to English early childhood education and its influence on the creation of the current situation. It has focused on analysis of external (European) and internal influences on educational policy in England and their reflection in curriculum development documents. Innovative Schools and Their Networks in Post-Socialist Context: The Case Study of Gymnázium Přírodní Škola

In recent years, there has been a great expansion of school networking in foreign education systems, but this approach appears less often in the Czech environment. This dissertation presents a case study that analyses the interaction of schools cooperating with the Gymnasium Přírodní škola through the concept of networking. The main sources of data are interviews with actors, school documents and field notes of the researcher. The study describes the mutual influence and sharing of elements of the innovative model between the schools involved in this network. Special attention is paid to the factors that facilitate or hinder effective networking and innovation sharing, as well as the role of principals, teachers and student involvement as active agents of change. The work thus connects previous research knowledge with the unique Czech context, which enriches the professional literature on networking of educational institutions. The results offer insight into the dynamics and challenges associated with creating effective educational networks and bring support for innovation in education through networking. Economic Evaluation of Project Carried out on Municipal Level

This bachelor thesis described an economic evaluation of a public investment project which was implemented at the municipal level. The theoretical part focused on induction to the problem by explanation of basic concepts, presentation of various possible methods for evaluation of public projects, and overview of possible ways to finance the project at the municipal level. The practical part evolved a case study which examined an economic evaluation of ‘sokolovna‘ reconstruction in a village ‘Kobylí‘, followed by determination of requirements to gain critical variables efficiency and critical input values from the investor's point of view.
