The second, empirical, part verifies the possibility of using the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test method in the Czech language environment. The quantitative research was applied and in each of its stages the data from 411 tested people were obtained. The Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test was modified to fit into the Czech language and it was subsequently presented to pre-school children. The main features and...

demonstration story of the damn things
Vyhnálková, Adéla ; Nováček, Daniel (referee) ; Kubíková, Zuzana (advisor)
demo story of the damn things is a text “material“ and a long-term experiment in a form of an internet story. for me, it's a space to explore a narrative in all its possible aspects – definitions and standards of a book, different forms and media of storytelling, writing methods and the author's relationship to the text itself. the story works with a timeline, plot, linguistic and typographic variability. it deconstructs and redesigns language, creates its own grammar, works with nonlinearity, conscious incompleteness, imperfection and unreadability. and it does this to figure out how to write as honestly as possible. the story is a decision – to write things as they are and as one likes them. by taking inspiration in teen literature, diary novels, internet forums, blogs and automatic writing, a kind of "parody" of the book is created. and it does so by the demontration narrative about friendship, educational system, mental health, searching for a home, escaping into the wild and fitting into the social system

E- and Smart-: Discourse of Selling, Promoting and Advertising Technology
Na billboardech, plakátech a online bannerech, kde krátká a výstižná sdělení naplňují svoji funkci propagace produktu by dlouhé, strukturované bloky textu působily kontraproduktivně.
