Povertrain development of Grand Prix cars

This bachelor's thesis concerns evolution of Grand Prix cars' powertrain during interwar period. The thesis is divided by historical milestones, mainly concerning changes of racing cars' construction rules. Many examples of racing cars' powertrains and their gradual evolution are presented.
The Gallery of Brno Grand Prix

The main task of this thesis was to create an architectural study of The Gallery of Brno Grand Prix based on previous urban study from previous semester works. The proposal is focused on the iconic circuit’s former glory restoration, on providing new content for raceway complex and creating decent and presentable place for the presentation of the rich history of Czech and Czechoslovak motorsport. The result is a study of an object that meets these needs while respecting the historical and morphological values of the place. The building creates new themed attraction and creates the potential for further development of near circuit.

Historical Overwiev of F1 Chassis and Engines Evolution

This thesis is focused on the overwiev of main periods in the area of race car construction development. In the first chapter, main attention is dedicated to Formula One cars, attending races since 1950. In spite of this, there is briefly noted the technological development before FIA Formula One Championship. Next chapter is dealing with technical restrictions and regulations restraining construction of Formula One car. Data are situated in the table, ascending sequenced according to the year. Next part refers to the actual Fia Formula One Championship season 2008. There is abstract of technical regulations and the list of actual Formula One teams, their cars and drivers. There is some pages acting with one of the Formula One team. In the last chapter some of technological experiments are presented.
Racing car technology in the period of World Wars

This bachelor thesis describes developement and historical racing vehicles especially in interwar period and looks into their influence to cars. In the next section, rules and conditions of competition, the first important race and start of Grand Prix, are briefly explained. A purpose of this thesis is to introduce important technology progress and inovations of this period, which have influenced a construction of cars for long decades, many of them are used to this day.

The main purpose of the diploma project is to redesign an object of the Brno Grand Prix areal. The design case study is a second step after an urban project analyses created in the pre - diploma project phase. The main aim of the diploma design studio is to produce a new impulse in the whole nearby area of the Brno Grand Prix by finding a new purpose for the city's iconic areal and creating a decent and representative place for exhibition of the extensive history of Czechoslovak Motor sport.

Résumé This thesis is focused on the Czech environment neglected history of sport, specific sporty branch - races F1. Thesis is concentrated on the years 1970-1994 because there are two important milestones in the history of F1 racing - the title of world champion in memoriam of Jochen Rindt 1970 and death of Ayrton Senna at Grand Prix San Marino at Imola 1994. Thesis will be looking the answer to the questions why this sport gained in researching period rising popularity, what was F1 social and economic relevance, how did formula 1 help to the further technological development of automotive, why it began to professionalize, what reasons and in which countries began F1 expand. Individual world champions will not miss out, especially Niki Lauda, James Hunt, Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna and other important personalities at whose fates will be the history of F1 in researching period also watch.

Formula 1 as a Sport and Social Phenomenon in the 1950s and 1960s

Bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of races formula 1 as a Sport and Social Phenomenon in the 1950s and 1960s. The author focused in the introduction on recapitulation beginning car races from 1894. The main part of thesis regards world championship in Fifties and Sixties. The author analysed particular seasons of the championship and concentrated on career of the best drivers - champions (for example Guiseppe Farina, Juan Manuel Fangio, Albert Ascari etcetera) as well as drivers, who didn't win world title (for example Stirling Moss) or Jochen Rindt (he got world title in memoriam, but in 1970 and this is not observed period). Analysis of running the most important teams follows (Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Maserati, Mercedes, Lotus and McLaren).
