Design and verification of an intervention program aimed at developing flexibility of lower limb muscles in athletes with mental disabilities.
MAŤHOVÁ, Kateřina
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design a suitable intervention program to develop flexibility of the lower limbs in people with mental disabilities. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first part is focused on explaining the concepts of mental disability, flexibility and anatomy of the lower limbs, sports and the importance of sports in people with mental disabilities. The practical part is focused on the design of the intervention program to develop flexibility in the lower limbs in people with mental disabilities. Testing was performed at the beginning and end of the program and the results were subsequently processed. Protractors were used for testing and measuring the flexibility of the mm. adductores femoris and mm. flexores genus. Also a deep forward bend was examined, which measures the muscles of the back of the thighs. Thanks to the measured values, which are presented in the work, it was found that the chosen intervention program was successful and regular exercise and movement in people with mental disabilities has a good effect. The flexibility in the mm. adducteres improved by 11.54 ° on average after 14 days and in mm. flexores genus the client improved flexibility on the right leg by 17 ° on average after 14 days and on the left leg by 15.4 °. Testing of the deep forward bend in a sitting position show that the client improved by 7.69 cm on average after 14 days.
Design and verification of an interventional movement program aimed at developing the flexibility of the back of personal assistants caring for people with a combined disability
JINEK, Zdeněk
Bachelor thesis is focused on proposal and intervention of moving programme focused on back flexibility progress for assistants, who care about people with combined handicap in Arpida center. Aim of bachelor thesis was forming of intervention moving programme, which was focused on improvement of back flexibility. There were chosen personal assistants for research, who were 28 to 55 years old. Personal assistants have a manually strenuous labour and some of them use adaptive technology for prevention muscle injury or muscle shortening. In view of the fact there was input measurement according to locomotor system tests of flexibility. Intervention moving programme was used during 3 months, once a week. In the course of intervention moving programme was done a interim measurement. After finish of intervention moving programme was done a final measurement. The results of measurement were compared to controlled group. There was done input measurement to all respondents in experimental group, where was measured average value during moving test of deep forward bend in stand position 6,6 cm and during test of deep bend forward in seated position 4,5 cm. In final measurement was achieved average value for moving test of deep forward bend in stand position 11,4 cm and during test of deep bend forward in seated position 9,1 cm in experimental group. Personal assistants improved flexibility after finishing of intervention programme.
Intervention program focused on dry preparation for figures in synchronized swimming
VOJTOVÁ, Martina
The topic of my bachelor tesis is to compile and to verify the effectiveness of an interventional movement program focused on dry preparation in synchronized swimming. The program is intended for young synchronized swimming competitors at the age of 8 to 9 years and its purpose is to improve joint mobility and strengthen the muscles of the lower limbs. The first part of the thesis is focused on the description of synchronized swimming, including the history, rules and definition of sports performance. Further information includes the opinions on children's sports preparation and on the development of the children's flexibility during sensitive period. The practical part is focused on the created intervention movement program. This part of thesis evalute the flexibility of lower limbs of the group of female competitors of the swimming club TJ Tábor. Selected test methods were implemented partial measurement which results were obtained enabling the evalution of the effectiveness of the chosen three-month intervention movement program. The mobility testing methods used in this thesis were deep forward bend while standing on an elevated surface, frontal and lateral split. The chosen methods use distance measurements. During the first measurement of deep forward bend we measured an average value of 3.71 cm and in the final mesurement this value was 6.14 cm. The measurement of lateral split was performed on both limbs and its input and output values showed improvement in most of the girls in the experimental group. The frontal split measurement showed a difference of 1.28 cm between the input and output average value. The testing results showed an improvement in joint flexibility and a reduction in shortening in the muscle of the lower limbs in the majority of girls involved in testing.
Assessment of the quality of handstand with correlation to shoulder joint stability
Provazník, Adam ; Chrudimský, Jan (advisor) ; Šteffl, Michal (referee)
Title: Assessment of the quality of handstand with correlation to shoulder joint stability Objective: The goal of this study is to find if there is a relationship between quality of handstand and two chosen parametrs - shoulder joint stability and shoulder joint flexibility in bachelor freshmen at UK FTVS studying programs Trainer, Conditioning trainer and Physical Education and sport. Methods: This is an empirical type of study. Tested group included 76 male students with average age of 20,22 (±1,02). Data were obtained by several tests, including test of quality of handstand, test of flexibility of shoulder joint, UQYBT and CKCUEST. For statistical analysis several methods were used. That inclued correlation analysis, Kendal test, Fligner- Killeen test, Shapiro-Wilk test and methods of descriptive statistics. Results: Statistically significant relationship was not observed between quality of handstand and shoulder joint stability, nor was observed between quality of handstand and flexibility of shoulder joint. The reason for the results could be low level of quality of handstand in majority of tested group. Key words: Equilibrium, balance, gymnastics, flexibility, stability of shoulder joint, quality of execution
Effect of strength training in improving range of movement.
Hradcová, Veronika ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Šorfová, Monika (referee)
Title: Effect of strength training in improving range of movement - a systematic review Objective: The aim of this diploma thesis is to find answers to research questions in a form of systematic review and to evaluate if strength training has effects on improving range of movement, or if it restricts it or if it doesn't affect it at all. This systematic review also aims to find out how many researchers are inclined to these individual influences of strength training. Method: The Google scholar, PubMed and Web of Science databases were selected for the study search, in which 140 studies were found on basis of established criteria, which were complemented by 4 studies from other sources, from which 128 were subsequently obtained after removing duplicates. An abstract of these studies was studied, of which 95 studies were unsuitable and were therefore excluded. The remaining 33 studies were further studied and, if they met the criteria of at least one research question, were subseqently included in present review. A total of 18 studies were included in present review, which were further classified into research questions according to additional criteria. For each research question, the studies were evaluated separately and the results of the studies were clearly recorded in a table for subseqent...
Inspiration and issues regarding creative continuity from a copyright law perspective
Taimr, Martin ; Dobřichovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Holcová, Irena (referee)
Inspiration and issues regarding creative continuity from a copyright law perspective Abstract An omnipresent element in the emergence of copyright-protected works is the inspiration by the creative work of previous authors and creative continuity with its results. Yet in which manner does copyright law deal with situations when the personal imprint of the author in the form of a work is not exclusively the imprint of the sole author? Problematic in fulfilling the goal of fostering creativity remains establishing the regulatory balance between protecting existing works and protecting the possibility of freely creating new works. The topic of this paper is an analysis of non-contractual flexibility which copyright law offers to authors building upon previous works, including an evaluation of the current regulation. At first, the terms inspiration and creative continuity are placed in a copyright law context and the areas which are key to enabling non-contractual flexibility are identified. The thesis is divided into two pivotal parts, which contain ten analytical sections. The first part deals with an analysis of the definition components of a copyright protected work, which represent the general limits of copyright protection. The aim of this part is to outline the differentiation between copyright...

Democratic Architecture – Ostrava
Staněk, Lukáš ; Šmédek, František (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of a residential building in an almost neglected location in Moravská Ostrava. The proposal looks for a way how to portray housing as such as community housing applicable in Czech conditions. The result is an adaptable environment that users can choose according to their wishes, as democracy says - about choices, about voting. Its variable and flexible form offers very easily and quickly changes to the program, whatever the advanced age of users, or with the needs for more space for new additions to households. Even the smallest apartments take on a sense of generosity, with pull-out furniture and wall - screens. The interior of the flats is renewed and creats a "room in a room". However, the case study also deals with the housing crisis and the shortage of housing, so the variety of functions are limited mainly to housing. However, the capacity for variation are retained and can be adapted over time to community housing, mixed - used or office space in an attractive location. It addresses the housing crisis comprehensively, and with a choice of apartment sizes ranging from studio apartments to 3 bedroom apartments. This system can be applicable to a variety of areas as well as plots with numerous dimensions. One of the many goals is to connect the public space with the indoor and outdoor space of the building. But it is it is important to maintain the intimacy of not only the semi-public space - the common areas of the building, but also the intimacy of the apartments. The design becomes a meeting point between the city and nature, specifically the roof garden and root purifier located in an unenclosed atrium in the wider centre of Ostrava. At the same time, it is capable of lowering the temperature in a densely populated and sparsely vegetated area.
Space of cyclic change
