The influence of computer games on English language knowledge
Utilization of online platforms in the German lessons
Pidych, Tomáš ; Kafka, Clemens (advisor) ; Nečasová, Pavla (referee)
This bachelor's thesis is looking to explore what digital content there currently is on the internet that could be effectively made use of as a tool in teaching German. It describes the potential use cases of the individual digital sources and tries to find out to what extent they are more or less efficient compared to printed materials such as coursebooks. The theoretical part adumbrates the existing research in the field of multimedia didactics, the design principles of multimedia teaching aids and the mechanisms of human sensory perception. It classifies the existing types of media and examines the developments and the recent tendencies in juvenile media consumption with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic. The practical part mediates some insight into the course of the experiment connected with this thesis. Two groups of the same age are involved. One (Group B) is subject to multimedia enhanced classes while the other (Group A) holds classes that only use printed aids. Both groups take a complex entry test before the experiment and a final test when the experiment is finished, both accentuating free writing and translation. All of the collected sentences are analyzed in selected grammatical categories in order to quantify which of the groups made more prominent progress. Group A starts off as more...
Precipitation processes in light hardenable alloys and the possibilities for integrating thermal analysis into physics education on high school
Kodetová, Veronika ; Vlach, Martin (advisor) ; Černošková, Eva (referee) ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee)
The doctoral thesis is divided into two parts - Thermal analysis in physics education on high school and Material research of Al-Zn-Mg(-Cu-Sc-Zr) alloys. Within the first part, the areas of crystallization and/or melting of selected foods were determined using differential scanning calorimetry. A practical lesson for high school physics has been created and tested. The study text focused mainly on differential scanning calorimetry and its use was made. In the second part of the doctoral thesis, there was analysed thermal evolution of the phase transformation in the Al- Zn-Mg(-Cu) alloys with Sc and Zr addition. The effect of (cold and hot) deformation on the decomposition sequences was studied. The hardening effect after annealing above 300 řC in the Sc and Zr alloys is caused by the precipitation of the secondary Al3Sc,Zr) particles. These particles were observed by transmission electron microscopy after annealing up to 360 řC in all studied AlZnMg(Cu)ScZr alloys. In the AlZnMgCu alloy the partial recrystallization was observed after annealing at 350 řC/10 hours and after annealing at 450 řC/10 hours the grain size was 50-200 m (depending on the treatment of the alloy). The addition of Sc, Zr in the AlZnMgCuScZr stabilizes grains and there is no recrystallization in the AlZnMgCuScZr alloy at temperature...

Use of computer simulations in medical education
Hübnerová, Iveta ; Šisler, Vít (advisor) ; Slussareff, Michaela (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the method of using computer simulations in education, with a focus on medicine. It also presents possible usage of computer simulations in other fields. The thesis presents possible usage of computer simulation to support the education, analyses of effective approaches and possible barriers that may arise during the implementation. Practical research is based on qualitative analysis of current situation of using simulations at medical faculties in the Czech republic. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
The use of information scraping for the development of educational simulations
Dobrovolný, Viktor ; Šisler, Vít (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of the use of web scraping method in the development of educational simulations. Author notes differences between the terms information scraing, web scraping and screen scraping and defines term web scraping, which is used for the remander of the thesis. He introduces history nad context of this method especially in the american background and shows simple example of a web scraper. Examples of the use of web scraping that can be seen on the Internet are described and analyses particular cases of projects that make use of this method. In the end of the first part the thesis deals with complicated juridical situation around web scraping and notes ethical difficulties related to the use of scraping. Author then briefly deals with educational simulations and explores the possibilities of the use of web scraping in thedevelopment and updating of simulations including typical structure of data used in simulations that are suitable to be developed with help of scrapers. In the final part a draft of educational simulation about energetics, which could profit by the use of scrapers both in the process of development and in the process of updating, is introduced.
