Evaluation of the landscape potential of the central Elbe region for outdoor geographical education

The bachelor thesis identifies the main geographical themes that can be used to characterize the defined area in the Central Polabí region. The next phase of the thesis deals with the identification of specific exceptional locations where these themes can be best demonstrated. Finally, sites suitable for field geography teaching are selected. The theoretical part is first devoted to the definition of field education and the involvement of field education in the study of geography. Subsequently, the concepts of landscape interpretation and Sense of place are explained and used in the research part. In the next chapter, a characterisation of the defined area of the Central Polabie region in terms of relief, climate, water, vegetation, nature conservation and settlement is made using maps. In the practical part, content analyses of geography textbooks, mapy.cz portal and Vlastivědný zpravodaj Polabí are carried out in order to identify the main geographical themes and specific localities. The obtained information is analysed in order to select the most important topics and locations. Subsequently, the sites are analysed using the criteria of transport accessibility and road access to see if they are suitable for field education. Contemporary Trends in Early Childhood Education and Care in England

This paper examines current trends and developments in the early childhood care and education system in England. The aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive understanding of English early childhood education. The thesis focuses on the current anchoring of early childhood care and education in the English education system. It provides an analysis and deeper insight into the circumstances of the emergence, progress and direction of current reforms and trends. The thesis is framed by a qualitative research paradigm while the research design is a single country case study using content analysis of documents, semi-structured expert interviews and participant observation. The thesis captures the historical background to English early childhood education and its influence on the creation of the current situation. It has focused on analysis of external (European) and internal influences on educational policy in England and their reflection in curriculum development documents. The thesis also thematises the developments in workforce policy and their impact on the contemporary situation of early years professionals. Europeanisation of Czech, Polish, and SLovak media in the context of three crises

The dissertation focuses on the level and form of Europeanisation of Czech, Polish and Slovak media in the intense phases of three crises - the migration crisis, the coronavirus pandemic and the war in Ukraine. The theoretical starting points of the thesis are the theories of the public sphere. Its functional variant is considered in the context of the "European communication space" as a means or a necessary condition for eliminating various deficits of the European Union, especially the democratic deficit. Of the various approaches to conceptualizing the European public sphere, the research in this thesis adopts a Europeanization approach, through the lens of which the European public sphere is seen as a network of national public spheres that are increasingly "Europeanized", and which relies on individual national media in its empirical efforts to detect the European public sphere. A parallel quantitative and qualitative content analysis of the content published on Facebook by six Czech, Polish and Slovak mainstream media outlets in the early stages of each crisis identifies different levels of Europeanisation across crises, reflecting the different levels of competences that the EU possessed in each of them. Monitoring and Analysis of Users Using DLP System

The purpose of this masters thesis is to study issues of monitoring and analysis of users using DLP (Data Loss Prevention) system, the definition of internal and external attacks, the description of the main parts of the DLP system, managing of politic, monitoring user activities and classifying the data content. This paper explains the difference between contextual and content analysis and describes their techniques. It shows the fundamentals of network and endpoint monitoring and describes the process and users activities which may cause a data leakage. Lastly, we have developed endpoint protection agent who serves to the monitoring activities at a terminal station.

Automatic tagging of musical compositions using machine learning methods

One of the many challenges of machine learning are systems for automatic tagging of music, the complexity of this issue in particular. These systems can be practically used in the content analysis of music or the sorting of music libraries. This thesis deals with the design, training, testing, and evaluation of artificial neural network architectures for automatic tagging of music. In the beginning, attention is paid to the setting of the theoretical foundation of this field. In the practical part of this thesis, 8 architectures of neural networks are designed (4 fully convolutional and 4 convolutional recurrent). These architectures are then trained using the MagnaTagATune Dataset and mel spectrogram. After training, these architectures are tested and evaluated. The best results are achieved by the four-layer convolutional recurrent neural network (CRNN4) with the ROC-AUC = 0.9046 ± 0.0016. As the next step of the practical part of this thesis, a completely new Last.fm Dataset 2020 is created. This dataset uses Last.fm and Spotify API for data acquisition and contains 100 tags and 122877 tracks. The most successful architectures are then trained, tested, and evaluated on this new dataset. The best results on this dataset are achieved by the six-layer fully convolutional neural network (FCNN6) with the ROC-AUC = 0.8590 ± 0.0011. Finally, a simple application is introduced as a concluding point of this thesis. This application is designed for testing individual neural network architectures on a user-inserted audio file. Overall results of this thesis are similar to other papers on the same topic, but this thesis brings several new findings and innovations. In terms of innovations, a significant reduction in the complexity of individual neural network architectures is achieved while maintaining similar results.

The work also implements system for MS office documents classification based on content analysis using defined rules. This system is introduced into DocTag application developed by AEC company.

The Legitimacy of Public Service Media in the 21st Century: The Role of Audience Analysis

The dissertation thesis addresses the current position of European public service media. After many years in the position of naturally monopolistic broadcasters, these media are competing for attention not only with a number of private media but also with an unlimited number of online platforms. The thesis analyzes the main potential threats to the legitimacy of public service media and gradually describes the normative requirements that are imposed on public service media primarily by legislation, but that also arise from a socio-historical context. Furthermore, it describes technological trends in the media sector that influence media consumption patterns. Finally, it covers the transformation of the relationship between public service media and their audience. The audience and their expectations are identified as the key source of public service media legitimacy. The research in the thesis aims to analyze to what extent and how the public service media in Europe use audience analysis when defending their own legitimacy. It also presents specific recommendations and results of the author's own quantitative pilot research on a representative sample of the Czech population, which verifies the potential of some of these recommendations on the example of the Czech Television's perception.

Values in fairy tale movies

This thesis deals with values in fairy tale movies. Its aim is to explore the possibilities of tracking values in fairy tale movies, because fairy tales serve as an important source of values for a child in the process of socialization. The theoretical part presents basic concepts of values, approaches to film research from a psychological point of view and observes the importance of fairy tales for a child. These topics are connected by socialization of a child and the role of media in adopting of values. Original research consists of content analysis of selected sample of Czech and Czechoslovak fairy tale movies. Certain characteristics, on which we can think about the values expressed in selected movies, are described. The research results indicate a trend of decreasing amount of contained values in fairy tale movies over time. Qualitative analysis examines various tales and describes value characteristics of particular characters in selected movies. Diploma project represents a contribution to the psychology of media and embraces media research as an important part of the socialization process.

The implementation of lethal AI systems on the battlefield and its implication on warfare

This paper examines the role of lethal AI weapon systems on the battlefield and its implications for the classical concept of warfare developed by Carl von Clausewitz. Furthermore, it addresses the consequences that a proliferation of these systems can have on the current security orders. To examine both issues, my study uses a qualitative research design that consists out of two cases. My methodological approach uses a content analysis approach that is based on objective and subjective characteristics of each system. Moreover, I differentiate between airborne and ground-based systems. The results that I generated from this case study indicates only a weak effect of lethal autonomous weapon systems on the classical concept of warfare. These autonomous robotic systems rather enhance and modify the existing theory. A similar correlation can be found regarding the second research question that a proliferation of LAWS has also only a limited effect on current global security orders. Their effects are more of regional significance. Therefore, my study concludes that the effects of LAWS on the classical concept of warfare is marginal, likewise to the effects on global security structures. A possible limitation of my study is that it doesn't take offensive fully autonomous weapon systems into account...
