Competence profile of headteachers and their in-service training

The thesis deals with the issues of headteachers' vocational competences and their needs for in-service training. The issue is assessed with regard to school degree and a phase of headmaster's career. The thesis is based on the need to clearly define what knowledge, abilities and attitudes should headteachers have to be able to manage the school successfully. This is also one of the conditions for creating a meaningful career system in schooling and a basis for a systematic further vocational development of headteachers. The thesis suggests a generic top performance profile of headteachers of all school degrees and a structure of their in-service training which corresponds to necessary competence. As a result, this should lead to an improvement of vocational training of headteachers and subsequently to higher quality of schools they manage.
Analysis of the evaluation criteria of kindergarten headmasters by founders in Pardubický region

TITLE: Analysis of the evaluation criteria of kindergarten headmasters by founders in Pardubicky region AUTHOR: Bc. Lenka Marková DEPARTMENT: School management centre SUPERVISOR: Mgr. Jiří Trunda ABSTRACT: This thesis analyzes the current criteria for evaluating the work of kindergarten headmasters. The criteria were created by community representatives as founders of the kindergarten. The thesis also focuses on identifying indicators leading to the fulfillment of the evaluation criteria. Monitoring headmasters views on the current criteria, which they are valued, is the part of research. Through the analysis criteria, surveys and informal interviews with representatives of the founders and headmasters the deficiencies in the structure and list of criteria were found. The research has shown inconsistency and formality outlined evaluation criteria with absence of their indicators. Based on the findings was recommended evaluation criteria to include all areas of the kindergarten headmasters. Indicators, that show the way to meet the criteria, were also suggested. Approach to evaluation of fruitfulness of the director of a school and ratings of successful school directors

The diploma Thesis stems from the finding that the human behaviour is a combined result of the push from outer environment and the human personality. The theoretical part of the study is based on the scientific literature, on documents dealing with the social standing of a school director in the society, and on the research studies dealing with the director's personality. It treats the characterisation of the personality, personal typology, properties and motivations. It brings information about the present-day concept of the success. Primarily, the attention is payed to the directors' competency a their roles in the management of the school. The research part of the diploma Thesis deals with the question of personal prerequisites and competencies, as they were found on the basis of quentionairies and data obtained from individual directors, who perform their leading role in the real environment of schools, and from the founders of these schools located on the territory of the capital of Prague. Assessment Centre as an alternative method of employees selection

This bachelor thesis deals with Assessment Centre method as a possible alternative of employees selection and from this perspective, the thesis is focused not only on introduction of the method AC itself, but also on employees selection process in general, as a part of human resource management in current situation. Therefore the thesis also considers different aspects, such as internal conditions of particular company and situation in the labour market, both influencing the choice of the Assessment Centre method. The main topic of the thesis is the introduction of psycho diagnostic tools focused on a group or an individual. It emphasizes also the importance of selection criteria during the preparatory phase of the Assessment Centre and the definition of general rules of realization phase of the AC. Within the context of the whole selection process possible outputs of the AC and roles played during the AC are also taken into consideration. Competency model for theatre acting profession

My thesis discusses competencies necessary for the profession of a stage actor and requirements and demands on such professionals. The aim of my thesis is creation of generic competency model of the profession of a stage actor, which could be useful to drama oriented theatre organizations in the Czech Republic. The thesis approaches the topic of competencies and competency approach in human resources and focuses on selected acting theories. On such theoretical foundations the competencies are identified through expert panel method and the generic competency model of acting profession is assembled. Competency of nurses working in intensive care in The Czech republic and Gerat Britain

Summary: The diploma thesis compares competency of nurses working in intensive care in The Czech Republic and Great Britain. Theoretical part of the thesis gives compact look to regulation of nursing profession, education of nurses and nursing registration in both countries. In this part are highlighted main differences of the legislation which nursing competency is based on in each country. There is also mentioned the public opinion of the nursing as a profession and its prestige related to both countries. Practical part of the thesis focuses on the interpretation of analysis of the research regarding the above mentioned topic. For the research have been used the method of collecting data by structured questionnaires. There was a questionnaire for each country in its own language. The aim of the practical part is to compare divergence of knowledge, skills and competency of nurses working in intensive care in both countries.
