Possibilities of Applying for Graduates in the Field of Social Work in the Labor Market in a Given Region

This bachelor's thesis deals with the possibilities of applying for graduates in the field of social work in the labor market in the Beroun region. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out possibilities of applying for graduates in the field of social work in the Beroun region. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part has four chapters, which further consist from subchapters. The theoretical part is focused on defining basic terms such as social work and social worker, social services and types and forms of their provide. The last chapter of the theoretical part deals with the labor market in general and the labor market in the Beroun region, where the region and available social services are specified in more detail. The practical part is processed using the qualitative research strategy, interviewing method and semi-structured interview technique. The main goal of the interview was to find out opportunities for social workers employment in the Beroun region. The interviews were conducted with six representatives of organizations providing social services in the Beroun region and also with the Labor Office employee. The questions that were asked to the respondents were chosen to evaluate the research questions. The results of this thesis can serve as a source of information about possibilities of applying for graduates in the field od social work in the Beroun region. The obtained data can be used in articles about employment as a social worker, or to present the school that offers social work specialization. The research revealed that possibilities for social workers employment in the Beroun region are sufficient, because there are many organizations that provide social servises.
Shale gas and conflict of (public) interests (Based on the example of Trutnovsko and Berounsko)

The goal of this thesis is to examine the term of public interest within the framework of the 'shale gas' issue in the Czech Republic. The theoretical section is divided into two basic parts. The first part defines the term public interest from the point of view of political science, sociology and economy. The second one describes the issue of shale gas extraction in global context. The examination is focused on the context of administrative procedures defining the prospecting exploration area of unconventional hydrocarbon resources in the Trutnov region and around the Berounka River The intention of private companies to extract shale gas in the Czech Republic caused a big discussion. In its core there is the dispute between the economic development of the country connected with energy security on one hand and the environment protection on the other. Within this debate the term public interest appears in many different contexts. The way it is used by the people involved and their interests are described through interviews with them and analysis of the gained material.
Beroun and Hořovice regions in the power conception of House of Luxembourg

The presented diploma thesis deals with the areas of Beroun and Hořovice in the middle ages. At the core of the work of the Government of The house of Luxembourg - John, Charles IV. and Wenceslas IV. Using sources, examines how developed its management, property tenure. It also looks at the extent to which they have been in the Royal estates, the Church or the aristocratic possession. Also describes the emergence and development of individual towns and villages in Beroun and Hořovice district. It focuses on local nobles and their relationship to the Royal Court. Work also takes into account the Nuremberg path that passed through this area, and its influence on the possession of estates. Greeks in the postwar Beroun. The life stories of the Greek residents in Beroun and its surroundings after the World War II

- 1 - Abstract The aim of the diploma thesis is to present the selected aspects regarding the presence of the Greek community in the Berounsko region, who settled here in connection with the Greek post-war immigration into the Czechoslovakia in the late 40s and 50s of the 20th century. It is a historical and anthropological research in the field of contemporary history, elements of ethnology are also included. This project is seen as a contribution to the local contemporary history, as well as the history of the selected ethnic group in the Czech Republic. The key method used is the oral history. Due to the narrow definition of the topic were found only a limited amount of archival material that was reflected in the work. The literature was also used. To collaborate on the project agreed six male narrators and two female narrators of the Greek origin. Archival research was conducted at the National Archive in Prague, in the archives of the Czech Red Cross and the State Regional Archive in Beroun. The core of this paper consists of the selected thematic areas that should enable the achievement of the objective of the thesis. Application of destination management in the area of Beroun

The thesis deals with the application of destination management in the area of Beroun which is located in the Central Bohemia Region. Nowadays there is no organization of destination management which operates and promotes this area. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the area and mainly to create an organization of destination management which would deal with the tourism development in the area of Beroun. Next aim of this thesis is to set up the advertising strategy.

The use of the Beroun region's cultural capital in tourism

The aim of this thesis is to define the relationship between cultural capital of the Beroun region and tourism through the description and subsequent introduction of conception within the case study of landmark infrastructure in a particular location. The theoretical part is aimed at defining the basic terms of the field, the practical one concentrates on a description of the present state of cultural capital in the region with strong ties to tourism and presents a concept to improve the situation in the village Nižbor.
