The meaning of rituals for interiorizing life values of young people

The diploma thesis investigates the signifikance of rituals in the adolescent age on accepting and anchoring life values of teenagers and their ability to manage difficult situations. The teoretical part describes the problematice of mutually influencing with psychosocial and spiritual child development until the adulthood and ways of guiding and pastoring youth. It uses general and experiential interpretation to ex-plain the deep meaning of rituals in all mentioned processes. The whole diploma work comes out of a fact that the current society prefers to deflect from regular activities, it rather emphasizes variety, fast and dynamic changes. Young people are significantly influeced by this phenomenon since they are being raised in this way. In order to accept the signifikance of rituals for their life they need explaination, education, understanding and personal experience. In the practical part it investigates and compares the work with christian youth and youth in recular environment of a dormitory in a socially excluded area. With the help of open interviews and observation it investigates their ability and intensity of specific rituals perception and the crossover of these experiences into the life of adolescents.
Punk's not dad - A radio documentary concerning the transmutation of life values of members of the punk subculturer

This practical work Punk's not dad - A radio documentary concerning the transmutation of life values of members of the punk subculture regarding the upbringing of children, as the name suggests, is dedicated to the change in the life values of punk subculture members due to raising children. Based on interviews with five protagonists and reportage footage from the punk environment, it answers the question of how punks work with values such as rejection of the future, resistance to the system or, for example, denial of authorities, in raising their children. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the specifics of radio production. Furthermore, the work contains definitions of basic radio genres with emphasis on the radio documentary, which is the main outcome of my work. The next section looks at punk and how this movement can affect a young person. In the last part I present my work. I deal with the aim of the document, the selection of the main protagonists, the script, the job description and the chosen methodology.
The Value Orientation in the life and work of nurses

Bachelor thesis titled "The Value Orientation in the life and work of nurses" is focused on exploration in the values of nurses working at the University Hospital Motol. The theoretical part of the paper gives a brief outline of the life values, issues of general value orientation and characteristics of individual groups of values. In the empirical part data were collected through a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire contained questions relating to the issue or determining the preference of selected environmental values in relation to age, length of practice and education of nurses.

The master thesis deals with life values of ecologically living people. It is divided into a theoretical and practical part. In its theoretical part it focuses on terms used in ecology, lifestyle and the description of values linked to the protection of environment. It deals with the concept of sustainable development and describes ecological farming. The practical part of the thesis analyses the qualitative research which was done in the form of semi-structured interviews with ecological farmers. The thesis focuses on values, opinions and sentiments of ecological farmers and whether these have undergone any change during their farming. TITLE: Support of human being with heavy bodily handicap and their family AUTHOR: Jana Rázková DEPARTMENT: Department of Special Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Monika Mužáková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: In my bachelor thesis I focus on the support of a person with a severe physical disability who lives with his or her family. In the theoretical part, I describe the family, physical disability, psychosocial aspects of disabilities, impact on relatives, and social and respite services. The findings of the observation in our family complement theoretical information. The aim of my thesis is to get familiar with the issues of the life of a person with physical disorder at home, the impact on the family life, feelings and attitudes of the people who have appeared in a new life situation. In the practical part, I focus on the life of our family, new life situations and changes of our values and priorities. I undertake the case study of my mother, state the interviews with my family members (my husband and children), and add my own point of view on this way of life. For an integrated view, I also describe a daily routine of a person with a disorder supported by the family or an assistant. I continuously evaluate all the parts of the text. The motivation of Roma childern to education and learning

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the Romani children and their motivation for learning. It is based on a widely believed idea that motivation of the Romani ethnic group in general is different from the vast majority of population. In practice this problem may manifest itself when the children in question are unwilling to learn, they disrupt the educational process, they refuse to go to school and discontinue their further education as such. The theoretical part of the paper is focused on describing Romani people and their particularities connected with the family environment in which the Romani children are brought up and which strongly forms their attitudes. It also determines the amount of motivation for learning as a starting point for success in terms of education. Motivational factors depend on the value of education in the broader socio-cultural context of the Romani minority. The practical part of the thesis is based on the ethnographic research. The purpose of the research has been to analyze motivation of the Romani children for education.
