Title: First aid knowledge of students of FTVS UK and FSV UK Objectives: The main objective was with the help of online survey to find out if there is a statistically significant difference in the first aid knowledge of students of The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University (FTVS UK) and students of The Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University (FSV UK). The secondary objectives were to find out if there is a statistically significant difference in first aid knowledge in regards to sex, type of study, participation in a first aid course and participation in the subject "First Aid". Methods: The collection of data was done by means of online survey. The questionnaire was created with the help of Google Forms software and subsequently distributed through the website Facebook. 62 students of FTVS UK and 67 students of FSV UK filled out the questionnaire. After the data were collected they were downloaded as Microsoft Excel file and subsequently encoded and statistically analysed. The Microsoft Excel software was used to compute arithmetic mean and standard deviation, mode, median, maximum and minimum of subsamples. The software RStudio was used to test for differences between the samples and to test for normality of data distribution. Mann-Whitney U test was used to test...

The questionnaire was created with the help of Google Forms software and subsequently distributed through the website Facebook. 64 respondents replied to the survey. After the data were collected they were downloaded as Microsoft Excel file and subsequently encoded and statistically analysed. The Microsoft Excel software was used to compute measures of central tendency (arithmetic mean, mode and median) and measures of dispersion (variance and standard deviation) of subsamples. Results: Considering the size of sample of FSV UK students, the only differences that were tested for were between FTVS UK and FSV UK students, between male and female FTVS UK students and between the group of FTVS students who study at the faculty for three years or less and group of FTVS students who study at the faculty longer....

The bachelor's thesis concerns the research of the knowledge of the younger school children about life-saving situations. A group of fourteen children visiting the second school class in the Prague West district was used as a sample. The goal of my thesis was to gain a picture about the knowledge of the eight years old children about urgent first aid as well as to give the children a quide how to act in the unfamiliar crisis situations. The thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part is divided into separate chapters. The beginning is devoted to an introduction into the topic of the urgent first aid, to present the components and function of the integrated rescue system and there are as well some statistics mentioned here. The second chapter deals with general procedures recomended when providing first aid. In the last chapter I describe particular selcted life-threatening situations and methods of first aid provision. In the empirical part the methodology and organization of the research is decribed. I have used a qualitative focus group method in connection with practical training of some urgent first aid techniques. Title: The level of first-aid procedures knowledge amongst floorball trainers Objectives: The primary aim of this research was to identify to what extent trainers of the Czech highest female floorball league are familiar with the first-aid procedures. Methods: In this research, the sampling method was carried out in the form of an anonymous questionnaire, which was constructed from two parts. The first part of the questionnaire assessed general knowledge (7 questions). The second part tested the participants through a random scenario (15 questions). The number of respondents counted a total of 17 B-licensed trainers, both male and female. The questionnaire was completed with the assistance of the Czech Floorball Union, and the collected data was presented in graphs. Results: Based on the anonymous questionnaire, the findings showed the above-average experience of trainers providing first-aid, during both floorball practice or competition. The most common injures were the least serious, such as the wind knocked out, muscle / ligament strain. The results showed that the knowledge of coaches in not sufficient (the average percentage of correct answers among respondent is only 62 % in total), and moreover they are influenced by the scope of the first aid course and when the course was graduated. But...

Zachoval, Jakub ; Malá, Michaela (advisor) ; Majorová, Simona (referee)
Name: First aid provided by persons after spine and spinal cord injury The aim of the work: The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out the practical possibilities of first aid in people after spine and spinal cord injury. Next task was to find out if the people tied to a wheelchair are able to provide first aid with sufficient quality. Methodology of the work: I have used three methods of data collection. The first method to identify personal history and basic theoretical knowledge in monitored group was an survey inquiry. The second method was an uncontrolled conversation to which I found additional information. The third method of data collection was observation, where I followed the practical possibilities, procedures and first aid technique in solving selected life threatening situations in individuals. Results of the work: Based on observations, I have found that all probands are able to evaluate the state of consciousness, to pass through the airways, and are able to provide first aid for strangulation by a foreign object and stopping breathing of the child within 1 year. I also found that probes with lesion height to Th7 are able to place the adult patient in a stabilized position and, if necessary, to initiate the resuscitation of an individual who is unconscious and does not breathe...
