Potential of trade between the Czech Republic and India – possibilities of its promotion

In the diploma thesis, author focuses on the state of the Indian economy and the position of India in the foreign trade of the Czech Republic. Firstly, local specifics and current changes (after 2014 elections) are outlined. Afterwards, an analysis of the India's position in international relations, its foreign trade relations and the intensity of mutual trade with the Czech Republic is propounded. The third chapter deals with the Czech system of trade promotion, including a description of its institutional structure and relation to the Czech export destined to India. In the last part of the thesis, author provides readers with a case study of selected Czech companies operating in the Indian market. The aim is to evaluate the possibilities and limits of bilateral trade and investment exchange promotion.
Entry of Czech companies to foreign markets in cooperation with the agency CzechTrade

The topic of the master thesis Entry of Czech companies to foreign markets in cooperation with the agency CzechTrade is the company expansion to foreign markets and possible benefits from the cooperation with the state export-promoting agency CzechTrade. The main objective is the evaluation of conditions on the Mexican market for the entry of Czech companies. The secondary objective is to evaluate the possibilities of cooperation between the Czech firms which are seeking overseas expansion, and CzechTrade. This thesis will focus on the expansion to one specific market (Mexico) and on the activity of one particular Czech company (Kovobel), for the purpose of narrowing the topic and also to better illustrate it on one particular case. The thesis will produce findings and recommendations that would ultimately allow Czech companies to access the overall process before entering the Mexican market.
Czech Small and Medium Enterprises Entering the Chinese Market

This diploma thesis deals with Czech economic diplomacy as an instrument or rather tool of the foreign policy of the Czech Republic to promote its economic interests and goals in the People´s Republic of China. Specifically, it deals with the state pro-export policy and state support of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the process of entering Chinese market. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter explores the concept of economic diplomacy and the models of the governance of economic diplomacy in the world as well as in the Czech Republic. The second chapter focuses on the realization of the Czech economic diplomacy in China, analyzes the Czech-Chinese foreign trade and the development of political and diplomatic relations between the two countries. The third chapter is devoted to the SMEs and their penetration of the Chinese market. It explains the importance of the SMEs to the Czech economy and export and defines the phases of the penetration. In this chapter, the author examines how the state supports the SMEs entering the Chinese market and whether this support covers all phases of this complex process. Finally, the author explains why SMEs are not satisfied with the state support of export and outlines possible solutions.
Business environment in Russian Federation, stability and potential advantages for Czech Republic

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze historical development, current situation and potential trends of future development of business enviroment in Russian Federation. This thesis shall provide sufficient information base especially for small and medium-sized Czech enterprises, that are deciding whether to export to the Russian market, or act on it directly. The thesis is also focussing on possible advantages of Czech enterprises in export to Russian market, as well as on various kinds of support, that are provided to them by governmental and non-governmental organizations in Czech Republic.
Hedging currency risks in the context of Czech export

The main focus of this work is on hedging of currency risks with special emphasis on the case of Czech export. In the first chapter, I create a motivation for further studying of the problem. I describe the state of export industries and the economy as a whole and how these aspects are connected to the exchange rates. In the second chapter, I explain how firms create their assumptions about future exchange rates. I also run a Monte Carlo analysis on historical data and come with predictions of my own. In the third chapter, I am discussing the relevance of using VaR models for estimating the maximum possible loss of funds due to unwanted moves in the exchange rate. Furthermore, I describe various instruments usable for hedging of currency exposure including forwards, options, swaps and other derivatives. In the final chapter of this work, I am asking financial and sales directors of 51 Czech firms about how currency risks influence their businesses and how they protect themselves against these threats.
Promotion of Czech exports

This thesis concentrates on description of promotional activities realized by Czech state institutions in order to support Czech exporters. Marketing communications and current state of the Czech economy are also briefly described. The output of this thesis consists in a serie of changes the author suggests to realize in order to increase the efficiency of promoting activities realized by the Czech state.
Characteristics of contemporary apects of pro-export policy in the Czech republic

The main focus of the bachelor thesis is to familiarize possible pro-export supports used by the government in the Czech republic. The thesis discusses possible ways of theoretical pro-export support and analyses agencies and institutions which are intended to support export in the Czech republic. Author ends his thesis by summarizing exporting position of the Czech republic in the global economy and the threats for czech export resulting from the global economic crisis.
Perspektiva česko-italské obchodní spolupráce s přihlédnutím ke kulturním odlišnostem

Práce hodnotí současnou a možnou budoucí obchodní výměnu mezi Českou republikou a Itálii na pozadí hospodářských a kulturních specifik. Zabývá se také zevrubným posouzením vývozních možností ČR,dopadu nedávných změn struktury zahraničního obchodu ČR a nutností podpory exportérů. Dále práce charakterizuje italskou ekonomiku, možnosti vstupu na její trh a hlavně analyzuje tamější obchodní příležitosti pro naše exportéry.
