Informal care from the perspective of general practitioners
Hvojníková, Klára ; Povolná, Pavla (advisor) ; Vrzáček, Petr (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on the process of informal care from the perspective of general practitioners and examines the key role they play in the initial phase of setting up the process of care in a home environment. Specifically, the thesis deals with providing information and advice at the beginning of home care, which is often considered by informal caregivers to be a crucial starting point that can significantly influence the further process of informal care and the fate of the patient and their relatives. The thesis also identifies barriers and points of friction that may arise between informal caregivers and general practitioners, as well as the consequences of insufficient information for informal caregivers. In most cases, insufficient information for caregivers leads to the premature termination of home-based care, without the use of all available support resources. The principle of subsidiarity can be violated. because relatives of informal caregivers may be therefore relocated to specialized residential facilities, or at the end of home care, they may be transferred to hospital facilities with no opportunity to pass away in a comfort of their own home, surrounded by family. The aim of the thesis is to contribute to the development of a strategy, or tactics, to improve cooperation and...

Quality of management of social service providers
Vrzáček, Petr ; Lorenz, Walter (advisor) ; Matulayová, Tatiana (referee) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
Social peace has a high political value in democratically functioning societies, especially in countries with a socialist past. Politicians are responsible for its achievement by creating appropriate legislative and financial conditions, as well as organizations and their managements, which perform the specified functions in the system. Social service providers have an important position in the performance of social work. While there are quality standards for social services, no sector-relevant model has yet been created for management quality. The aim of this dissertation is to create a quality model of social service provider management based on pragmatism and constructivism. This model is created as an intersection of knowledge contained in organization theory and the current legislative setting of the two legal forms of providers, which are associations and institutions. The theory of the organization is conceived in the work as a meta-theory consisting of three perspectives, which are saturated with content by a set of sub-theories. The relevance of the resulting model is tested in the environment of organizations that took top positions in the Nonprofit of the Year competition in 2013-2019. The created management quality model has 14 perspectives, while the relevance of 12 of them was also...

Havránková, Zuzana ; Vrzáček, Petr (advisor) ; Mertl, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with field social care services in the Šluknov region, the border region of the Ústí nad Labem County. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on mapping regional coverage by the field care service providers and identifying obstacles to the development of their capacities. One of the possible barriers to the development of providers' capacities is considered the insufficient demand from the target group, due to unfamiliarity of new concepts of field care. The aim of the empirical part of this diploma thesis is therefore to know the attitude of potential clients towards field care services and to find out the preferences of personal care type. Data collected by qualitative questioning techniques are analysed by triple coding and interpretation of resulting categories and their relationships. Research findings concludes that there is distrust amongst potential clients towards field care services and show a significant degree of unfamiliarity with these services. People in need for care in the region tend to prefer the established way of solution, i.e. to care with their own strength, then use the offer of residential care services. Since the perception of field care services by residents has an impact on its usage, recommendations are focused on adjustments to working...
