On-line career guidance and counselling in working with gifted pupils

The topic of the thesis is individual career counselling provided to secondary school students online. The aim of the theoretical-empirical master thesis entitled On-line career counselling in work with gifted pupils is to describe and compare the way of work of different career counsellors in on-line counselling with secondary school pupils in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the basic concepts related to the topic are introduced, namely career counselling, on-line counselling, adolescence, giftedness and talent, career counselling methods and career counselling in the Czech Republic. The empirical part of the thesis is based on a mixed design - on a qualitative research strategy, on the technique of semi-structured interviews with career counsellors within the project of a selected Czech non-profit organisation and on the analysis and evaluation of questionnaires sent to respondents (gifted secondary school students) who participated in the project of the selected Czech NGO. The thesis points out the need for individual career counselling in combination with the offer of individualised excursions to the selected organisations and the need for an individual and open approach to the target group, gifted secondary school pupils.
Social pedagogical integration interventions for unaccompanied juvenile Refugees in Germany

(in English): The thesis deals with socio-pedagogical interventions provided to unaccompanied minor refugees in Germany. It describes the situation of unaccompanied minor refugees who come to acute care centres or residential facilities for youth and come to terms with the reality of life in a new country. The provided socio-pedagogical interventions can be divided into 3 main groups. The effectiveness of these interventions in terms of supporting the integration of refugees into mainstream society was examined on a group of 23 persons - unaccompanied minor refugees. They evaluated the individual interventions provided within the framework of individual semi-structured interviews that took place in 2020 - 2022. The work is conceptualized theoretically and empirically. In the theoretical first part of the work, basic concepts from the field of migration and social pedagogy are presented and explained, and 3 areas of social pedagogic interventions provided are discussed in more detail. In the research part of the work, the research question is defined, the design and methodology are presented, and the research method based on interpretive phenomenological analysis is presented. At the end of the work, possible further research directions in this area are defined.
Rules, punishment and rewards in preschool education

The bachelor thesis deals with classroom management strategies with regard to the use of different types of educational resources used in the kindergarten environment. The theoretical part focuses more concretely on the basic definition of terms such as preschool education, rules, punishment, respectful education, rewards and alternative schools. What is their function, types and use in practice. Last but not least, it also focuses on the respectful approach, or how to establish a partnership with the child using effective forms of communication. The empirical part presents the results of the research aimed at comparing and finding differences in the formation and use of rules in kindergartens as well as the use of different types of rewards, punishments and natural consequences using a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire shows the differences between kindergartens traditional state schools and kindergartens applying innovative ways in education. Sexual education of kindergarten children

Relationships and communication are essential in life and a whole one segment in the biopsychosocial model. Being so they are linked closely to human sexuality, which is ever present since we are born. This bachelor thesis aims to outline practices that Czech nursery schools use to help preschool children become familiar with their sexuality. The main hypothesis is the assumption of the courses not preparing the future nursery teachers to teach sexual education in its full. The thesis attempts to view the topic in its full complexity, hence there are used several data-collecting and analysing methods in the research. It also provides the reader with the concept of European standards for sexual education and the overview of preschool age as developmental stage. Analysis of the Framework Education Programme for preschool education, secondary and post-secondary courses programmes for teachers to be and their options for post-graduate follow-up education is carried out in order to determine the extent of sexual education incorporation into the educational programmes for both, children and teachers. The impact of spending of organized leisure time on child's personality

The purporse of this paper "the impact of spending of organized leisure time on child's personality" is to gain knowledge if there is any relationship between the development of child's personality and the way of spending leisure time. If the educators find out how children spends their leisure time and whether they feel that some personality areas are more developer than others. The bachelor's thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The aim of the theoretical part is a summary of existing knowledge about leisure time and ways of spending it, as well as a short summary of psychological and personality development in the period of pubescence and a description of personality types based on the big five. The theoretical part is based on the study of vocational literature. The aim of the practical part is to use a research investigation to find out what perspective educators working with pubescents have on the issue of personality development.
Causes of the failure of children in studies from socially excluded locations.

(in English): The diploma thesis deals with the description of school failure and barriers among children coming from socially excluded locations in the Czech Republic. The problem of children from socially excluded locations who do not succeed at school or have a problem with learning is an increasingly common problem in many countries around the world. This issue is caused by a number of factors, including lack of access to quality education, poverty and lack of family and community support. In this diploma thesis, I will deal with the causes of the inability of children from socially excluded locations to study and how these problems can be solved. The aim of the thesis is to identify obstacles and causes preventing the development of pupils from socially excluded locations in education and gaining employment on the labor market. Part of the work is mapping and summary of research that deals with this issue. In the practical part, using a quantitative research method, obstacles and causes are identified that prevent pupils from socially excluded locations from success at schools with regard to future obtaning an employment on the labor market.
Education of the Scout Leaders

This thesis addresses the question of how and in what form a future Scout leader is educated. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the definition, function and meaning of leisure, leisure pedagogy as a science and institutions of leisure. Furthermore, it presents Scouting as an organization belonging to leisure activities, its importance and vision. It points out the organization Junák - český skaut, z.s. in terms of organizational structure, Scout educational methods and presents the competency model of the leader. Methods of Scout leader education reveal the personality of the Scout leader and the importance of the volunteer profession. The empirical part is developed in the form of qualitative research. Interviews with prospective Scout leaders is the first part, followed by a summary of information obtained through written interviews with a key staff member at Junák's headquarters who deals with education issues. Finally, the findings from the meeting with the graduates of the waiting course are summarised. . Burnout Syndrome and the Risk of Its Occurrence in Primary School teachers in the Liberec Region

The main subject of this diploma thesis is burnout syndrome and risk of its occurrence in primary school teachers in Liberec region. Theoretical part is focused on description of burnout syndrome. It defines main areas like symptoms, phases and causes in general ways, also defines main terms like "teacher" and it describes theory of burnout syndrome in general. In the end of the theoretical part there is chapter focused on prevention of burnout syndrome. The practical part is focused on rate of burnout syndrome of primary teachers. The research survey is done quantitatively. The survey uses a standardised method. The main goal of this research is to find out whether the mentioned teachers have a burnout syndrome. It will be tested by use of Copenhagen Burnout Inventory. There is precaution suggestion and discussion in the end of this thesis.
School counselling centre at elementary school

This diploma thesis is focused on researching the activities of the school counselling workplace at the elementary school and its coordination with the pedagogical activities of a elementary school teacher. The goal of this diploma thesis is to find out whether and how counselling services work at a particular elementary school. The theoretical part contains the history of the school counselling workplace and its development, The research will lead to finding out the job content of individual school counseling workplaces, their staff and their main objectives. The practical research will be conducted at a selected elementary school by applying the method of qualitative research, in particular, the method of interviewing by school psychologists, school special education teachers, educational counselors and school methodists of prevention and then by analysis of the documentation of the school counselling workplace. A case study (case history) of a particular pupil will also be used in order to demonstrate the real activity of the school counseling workplace.
Support for career choice at ŠKODA AUTO

The topic of the diploma thesis is pedagogical and psychological support for choosing a career in the ŠKODA AUTO Company. The aim of the thesis is to describe, verify and evaluate the effectiveness of the system of marketing actions to support the choice of profession implemented through the ŠKODA Academy and the ŠKODA AUTO Secondary Vocational School of Engineering, from recruitment campaigns to obtaining applicants to the placement of graduates. The work has a theoretical-empirical character and is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, it introduces the corporate system of preparing school pupils for future occupations, describes individual forms of support for choosing a profession with an emphasis on their specifics. The practical part of the work assesses the contribution of individual marketing actions to the applicants' decision-making about the choice of profession through a questionnaire survey conducted among students of the 1st and 2nd year of SOUs. Through research conducted among 3rd and 4th year students of SOUs, it verifies how the professional practice of students in a company and the involvement of the company's professional departments in teaching affect the quality of education and to what extent the company's placement policy for graduates is reflected in their choice...
