The Influence of Autism Spectrum Disorder on relationship between parents of the child

This bachelor thesis deals with partner relationships of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The theoretical part of the thesis defines ASD, the historical development of ASD and the view of the disorder, then it describes the characteristics of ASD. In the following, second chapter of the thesis, the terms family and partner relationship are defined. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the effects of ASD on parents and their relationship, in addiction to the effects on intact siblings and the support that families with children with ASD can use. The empirical part of the thesis describes the whole process of research. The method of thematic analysis was used. The third chapter presents research goals and questions, research methodology and characterizes the research sample. The fourth chapter deals with themes and subthemes created within the thematic analysis. The following discussion concerns with the results of the research. Autism spectrum disorders - parent's perspective

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to map how the child with autism spectrum disorder affects the life his parents and the perception of this issue by parents of the autistic children. The theoretical part is about autism spectrum disorders, their definition, etiology, development of professional perspective in this issue and how autism spectrum disorders affects the personality of the individual. Then it also briefly defines the family and family with a handicapped child, which is followed by a part about impact of autism spectrum disorders on family. Specifically the specific life situation of family, family resiliency and finally the sibling's issues. In the empirical part I submit the results of qualitative survey obtained through the interview. The research tries to look into issue of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder and attempts to discover the impact on parent's lives of autistic children. Child with Special Educational Needs in Preschool

This bachelor theses focuses on inclusion of children with special educational needs (SEN) in pre-primary educational facilities. In theoretical section, the concept of inclusion in pre-primary education is introduced followed by the international human rights documents, the legislative framework of the Czech Republic in education. Based on the literature review, facilitators and barriers to inclusive preschool education, characteristics of inclusive kindergarten, and development of a preschool child is presented together with significance of inclusion of a child with special education needs. The overarching aim of the research part is to identify facilitators and barriers in promoting inclusive education in kindergarten as perceived by the teachers. The qualitative research design was applied, namely the semi-structure interviews. Results of the study indicate that teachers consider as facilitators positive attitudes towards heterogeneity, functional cooperation and communication between all stakeholders, the presence of a teaching assistant in the classroom, adequate qualifications and a suitably adapted teaching environment to meet the needs of a child with SEN. Influence of Feuerstein's instrumental enrichment method on vocabulary development in primary school age children

This bachelor theses primarili focuses on influence of Feuerstein instrumental enrichment program (FIE) to development of vocabulary of younger school age children. Another matter of interest is influence of FIE to expressive abilities, getting better in task solving strategies, vizuomotor coordination abilities and getting better in working and short- term memory in younger school age children and also individual improvement of children who attended FIE course. The aim of academic work is to track changes within these areas, primary in vocabulary, of children, which attended FIE like afternoon freetime activity. Theoretical part includes informations about younger school age children, FIE itself, dynamic diagnosis and origins of Feuerstein's work. Analitical part includes metodology of research, which has been done like a hybrid of quantitative and qualitative type of research. In quantitative part, we used test of Word definitions from CELF-V, Repeating numbers from WISC-IV and Rey-Ostterieth complex figure, therefore in qualitative part we used primarili observation. This bachelor thesis deals with early psychological development, which maps from the prenatal period to the whole first age of the infant. The theoretical part explains important developmental theories and milestones. In the part of prenatal and perinatal periods is talking about the early communication of the fetus with the mother and the experience of childbirth, from which the birth trauma may arise. In the neonatal and infant period, the emphasis is on transforming psychomotor development, psychological processes and early child interactions. The practical part contains research, which is based on qualitative methodology and is realized by the case study. The research aimed to map the manifestations of psychological development in infants between the 4th and 9th month. The primary aim was to observe the socio-emotional manifestations, but it was not possible to forget the observed psychomotor development, which is closely related. The results are summarized in the discussion, which also answers the research questions concerning the manifestations of the prosocial behavior of infants, the development of the relationship between the parents and the infant and the differences in the development between three examined children. Sibling Relationships of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder - Parental perspective

This bachelor thesis deals with the sibling relationships of children with autism spectrum disorder from the perspective of parents. The theoretical part defines the concept of autism spectrum disorders, its historical development, etiology and the main areas in which autism spectrum disorders manifest themselves. The following chapter deals with a family with a child with autism spectrum disorders and the main problems these families face. The third chapter first describes the characteristics of sibling relationships, sibling rivalry and sibling constellations, then the chapter deals with the specifics of the sibling relationship with a child with a disability and the impact of autism spectrum disorders on the sibling relationship. Last but not least, the possibilities of supporting healthy siblings are briefly outlined. The empirical part presents the research, which was carried out using a questionnaire survey. Research goals and questions, research methodology and characteristics of the research sample are presented.
