Audiovisual production - YouTube and video on the internet

This thesis achieves several objectives. The main goal is to help the reader (of this thesis) to understand the concept and coherence of digital video, its distribution and management. Technological aspects of theoretical basis are explained in the primer. This part comprises explaining video compression, window size, resolution and spacing-out, lossy and lossless data compression. The second part maps main multimedia distribution channels on internet. They are YouTube and Vimeo. The following part creates a comprehensive description of both servers' functionalities such as signing-up, video uploading, special functionality, legal aspects of copyright and other licences. The reader should gain valuable pieces of knowledge of how to best use the servers in order to grow the ratings of his/her videos. The conclusion chapter contains pieces of advice to commercial users (enterprises) how to arrange the video for internet uploading (or other media purpose). There is a decision-based diagram which guides the user during the video exportation for a specific type of its distribution.
Enterprise use of social networks

The thesis deals with theme of social networks especially from the view of companies. The thesis is divided into two main parts -- theoretical and practical. There is a necessary knowledge base of social networks and its use from perspective of a company in the theoretical part. There is also mentioned the topic of social networks analytics because it's the main theme of the practical part of the thesis. The research in the practical part analyzes the companies from Czech Republic, Germany and United States of America. The research is aimed on their behavior on Facebook and their company presentations there. There are two methods used in the practical part. One method compares the list of companies during the time period of 3 year (90 days of 2011 compared to 90 days of 2014). The other one compares the list of companies from geographical point of view. The goal of the practical part of the thesis if evaluation of pre-defined hypotheses.
Aplikace principů pozornosti v online prostředí

Attention is today a scarce resource, which is from physiological substance of the human brain to a certain extent limited. Abundance of information that affect the user who grasp the information, cause a mismatch between the information that is infinite and ever growing, and user attention, which is used during the processing of this information. From the perspective of Attention economy, there are principles that explain how attention works. This work aims to verify these principles of attention in the electronic environment by measuring eye movements of sample of tested participants during execution of proposed tasks on particular website. Using a technology called eye-tracking there are collected supportive data on user's allocated attention in context of executed tasks on the website. These data are analysed and compared with the principles of attention. The analysis of the tested sample of website users confirmed that attention principles really corresponds with the measured allocated attention and also revealed a clear relationship between the various measured amounts of attention and subsequent user behaviour, which was nearly identical at most of the observed users. These findings led to the recommendation to respect the principles of attention in the design of any e-environment platform, which should avoid to the main researched problem, the abundance of information and the lack of attention of users in online environment.
Commercial use of social networks

This thesis analyses the possible utilizations of social networks by companies in order to obtain benefits in their field of business. This study is focused on the most popular social network on a global scope, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube. The theoretical section summarizes and provides an analysis of its suitability and possibility for applications in commercial companies. The possibilities discussed are in particular marketing, client communication, brand development and public relations. Moreover, the practical part of this thesis lists the main case studies that depict the utilization of social networks in practice and highlight the benefits the individual companies gain and their costs. Case studies further discuss the use of social networks by traditional and less traditional means for small and larger-sized companies. The thesis is complemented by applied research of social network activities of companies and the analysis of the perception of their users, which is realized by questionnaire survey.
Online communication of startups

This thesis deals with a plan of marketing strategy for Psaní Hravě project. The main objective is to suggest a communication strategy and show practical utilization of social media. The first chapter describes communication of successful Czech startups. The second chapter comments on possibilities of social media. Subsequently I explore utilization for brands, especially for SMEs and online projects. The third chapter introduces Psaní Hravě project, its image and target group. In the last chapter I create a practical plan of social media for Psaní Hravě, I focus especially on Facebook strategy.
Social networks marketing - metrics and measurements

Social networks marketing is used by many companies. Therefore it is important to apply metrics and measurements, to get a practical use. Then we should be able to set a good marketing plan and achieve better business results. There are many metrics available, therefore it's helpful to get familiar with them and choose the right ones which will bring us valuable information. Marketing is a process that should be completed by evaluation, according to predetermined metrics, and according to results appropriate steps are to be made. Metrics are an important point in this process, providing valuable feedback and beneficial advice.
The Web 2.0 environment and its usage in business corporations

The main goal of my Bachelor thesis is to bring basic information about the Web 2.0 environment and its advantages for business corporations. In the first part of thesis I define the Web 2.0 environment and the key differences betweet Web 2.0 and Web 1.0. Next I describe specific advantages which firms can achieve by implementation of Web 2.0 environments elements in relationships inside the firm, relationships with costumers and relationships with business partners. The next part is primarly oriented upon social networks and I describe various tools and techniques which can be used to analyze advertising pages on social networks. The added value of my work is in analysis of a company and the method it uses social media sites. After a detailed analysis constructed with a chosen tool I purpose some changes that could improve the actual state.
Analysis of possible deplyment of Windows 10 at the University of Economics

This thesis deal with the newest operating system Windows 10 from Microsoft and its possible deployment at the University of Economics. In the first part, it describes a brief history from the very beginning of the Windows operating system to the current version of Windows 8.1. Afterwards, the thesis deals with the introduction of Windows 10, which arrives on the market in the summer of 2015. There are described the most significant updates of Windows 10 in comparison to previous versions. In the Bachelor's thesis is used the only available version, which is accessible under the test community Insider. At the end are analyzed computer assembly, all installed applications at University of Economic and other necessary data.
Social networks and their misuse

This thesis concentrates is about influence and abuse of social networks on the infor-mation society of today. The work is divided into two general parts. The first part deals with the theoretical part of the issue. There are terms such as: data, information, knowledge, social networking and communication. These concepts are discussed with regard to the issue being addressed and how it can contribute. The second part is devoted to an experiment on the social network Facebook. Discusses creating fake profiles and the possibility of their misuse. There is also a comparison with already the passed experiment. Outcome of this work is to evaluate the success of the experiment and evaluate its im-pact on today's society.
Use of on-line video in education

The diploma thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part begins with explanation of basic concept of educational videos. The following chapter discusses advantages and possible barriers to using videos in education and presents examples of using videos in the classroom. The next chapter offers introduction to educational portals, selected YouTube channels, video tutorials and an example comparison of self-study versus university degree in a particular specialization. The practical part is divided into two chapters - Analysis of selected videos and Recommended steps for video production. The analytical part examines successful educational videos on YouTube in order to compile the recommended steps for creating quality video content in the last chapter. Included in the last chapter is also an educational video created by the author according to the previously recommended steps. This video was shown to students during a lecture at University of Economics, Prague. The students then filled in a short questionnaire as a feedback about the video. The conclusion summarizes the goals, results and benefits of the thesis.
