Possibilities of Motor Skills Assessment at Preschool Children

This diploma thesis introduces the options for motor skills assessment of preschool children in the pedagogical and health care setting. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the author describes the psychomotor development of a child with a focus on the preschool period. The following chapter provides an overview of pedagogical and healthcare professions that mostly focus on the psychomotor development matters. The following chapters analyse the options for motor skills diagnostics in preschool children, including an overview of the most commonly used tests. In the practical part, a set of diagnostic tasks was created for the purpose of rough estimation of motor skills levels of preschool children. The suggested task set was then put to a clinical trial in five kindergartens in two cities in the Czech Republic. The practical part consists of a description of individual tasks in the task set, their evaluation, description of the used sample of children, administration of the task set and collection of data in accordance with stated ethical principles of research. Possibilities of support of motivation at pupils with specific learning disabilities in special pedagogical intervention

This thesis focuses on the possibilities for influencing the motivation of pupils with specific learning disabilities during special pedagogical interventions conducted at schools. The aim of this study is to determine which of the approaches used by specialised pedagogues within the field of specialised pedagogical practice are most effective in increasing the motivation of pupils with learning disabilities and why. One of the sub-goals of this work is to describe the principles for strengthening motivation in special pedagogical interventions. This thesis is divided into two parts: the teoretical and the research part. The theoretical part deals with specific learning disabilities, terminological definitions, etiology and reeducation. It also focuses on motivation, its types, influencing factors and its application. The research part with the use of qualatitive research methods seeks to explore perception of special pedagogues on the role of motivation and support of pupils with specific learning disabilities motivation during the intervention. Specifics of the work with pupils with hearing impairment during the hours of Physical Education of primary school

My diploma thesis deals with pupils who are struggling to hear and a cochlear implant may be their hearing aid. The goal of my thesis was to look into the specific work with hearing impairment pupils in lessons of Physical education in elementary school. In theoretical part knowledge of mentioned problem from professional literature was collected. My attention was dedicated to the problem of the first grade hearing impairment pupils' integration to the education system. This thesis presents the cochlear implant as one of the essential opportunity for better quality life of hearing impairment people. Moreover I make the readers familiar with functioning and indication of a cochlear implant, and organisations which support people like these. Besides that I also write about PE education and support of hearing impairment pupils in PE lessons. In empirical part I used a qualitative research design. The collection of information was realized with the methods of watching and deep half-structured talks. The gained information was analysed by using the method of opened coding. Inclusive didactics in primary school

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis brings the information about the possibilities, which could help the pedagogues to successful inclusion implementation. It introduces the inclusion principles and strategies, brings elementary information about inclusion in the way, how it is brought by the amendment to the Education Act by Decree 27/2016 on the education of pupils with special needs and talented pupils. It introduces support measures, pedagogical diagnostics, issues of learning styles, different teaching methods, different kinds of differentiation, it highlights the importance of the classroom climate and the personality of the teacher. It approaches the specifics of education in the small-scale schools. The practical part of the thesis answers the questions, if the chosen small-scale school fulfills the requirements of the inclusive education. It focuses on fulfilling the principles of metacognitive teaching, individualization and differentiation in schooling. Diagnostic use of drawings by children aged 5-6 in kindergarten (comparing drawings in terms of right-handedness and left-handedness).

The bachelor thesis deals with the diagnostic use of the drawing in kindergarten in children aged 5-6 years, compares the drawings from the point of view of rightness and left-handedness. It describes the characteristics of a pre-school child and summarizes the development of its personality in the physical, mental and social spheres. In part of the theoretical part, the work is generally familiar with the education of a child in kindergarten. The specifics of pre-school education and school maturity and readiness are elaborated in more detail. The core part describes the characteristic features of rendering of the drawing in pre-school age and defines the individual stages of drawing development. The research part of the thesis focuses on the drawing of children in kindergarten. Specifically for the analysis of children's drawings, which provides a closer look at understanding the child's artistic expression before entering elementary school. The bachelor thesis draws attention to the deferment of left-handed children and their number in kindergarten. The thesis discusses the issue of multiple handicaps, and partial functions development, in children. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. There is an initial description of individual types of handicaps that are relevant to the topic. It focuses on partial functions and their specific development. The practical part aims at special elementary school education and educational work and methods in an orphanage. Analytic-syntetic method of reading praktice and incidence of dyslexi a among primary school pupils

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis includes knowledge gained from selected specialized literature dealing mainly with the topic of specific learning disabilities and especially with problems of dyslexia. There are described types of dyslexia, its impact on pupils lives and breathly something about history. It also covers in detail the theme of analytical-synthetic method of initial reading, which is still one of the most used methods of initial reading practice in the Czech republic. The practical part of the thesis consists of a research, which was realized by the method of questionnaire survey. Its purpose was to find out how many pupils with certain levels of dyslexia as a type of specific learning disabilities are in the first to fourth years at elementary schools, where reading is taught by an analytical-synthetic method. Research results found about 6.4% of pupils with varying degrees of dyslexia in the first four years of the research sample of schools, where reading is taught by the analytical- synthetic method. The analytic-synthetic method then emerges as the second best compared to the other two most commonly used methods of initial reading practice.
