Distance education of a pupil with mild mental retardation during the COVID-19 pandemic: case study

This bachelor thesis is focused on the distance education of a pupil with mild mental retardation during the COVID-19 pandemic. It should capture the benefits and disadvantages of this type of education. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part defines the concepts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of it on education. Furthermore is described the distance education and its types. There is defined the mental retardation, its etiology, classification and the definition of a mild mental retardation. The theoretical part also describes the education of people with mental disabilities and their education during compulsory schooling. Further is described the elementary school in Vokovice, its school's educational program and the division of the students into classes in the year according to the level of support. For the practical part was used the method of qualitative research with the help of semi- structured and narrative interviews with parents, the student's class teacher and with the student herself, and with the help of observation in the home and school environment. School principal at the implementer of changes affecting the quality of relations between the teaching stuff

This diploma thesis is focused on the position on headmaster and the relations between the teachers. The thesis has been devided into several chapters and subchapters. In the theoretical basis of this thesis there are the main basic concepts explained as school, culture of the school, headmaster, personality of the headmaster, vision of the school, concepts of leaderships and management. The main goal of this diploma thesis is an analysis and description of quality of the relations of teachers stuff. Secondary, the thesis approaches following questions: What kind of leadership has been applied at the chosen school? How and to what extent can the headmaster influence relations in the teachers stuff? How do the teachers perceive the personality of the headmaster? An analysis of questionnaires and interview are the main methods used to answer these questions. The final results of this research have been summarized in the conclusion. Shared care for children and pupils with autism spectrum disorders

Families that take care of children with autistic spectrum disorder contend with everyday mental strain while looking after their child. Situation is even more complicated for lack of social services suitable for autistic spectrum disorder. It forces families to rely on themselves. In response to lack of services in the Czech Republic a new shared care service called homesharing was established by initiative "Naděje pro děti úplňku". Homesharing is a voluntary service and works as follows. An instructed host family looks after a child with autistic spectrum disorder at their place at regular intervals. The service enables an essential time to a rest to primary family. The objective of my diploma thesis called Shared care for children and pupils with autism spectrum disorders is to investigate the experience of host and primary families within the homesharing service. Theoretical part of my diploma thesis describes issues (social services, shared care) linked to autistic spectrum disorders on the basis of reference books. Practical part of my work contains qualitative research, specifically semi-conducted interview. Eating disorders

Bachelor thesis is focused on eating disorders, specifically on anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating. However, it also mentions new types of those disorders such as artorexia, bigorexia and drunkorexia. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part contains basic information about afforementioned disorders, its manifestations, consequences, etiological factors and treatment, prevention is also included. All of those informations are backed up by professional literature authors who are specialized in eating disorders. In practical part there are stories of five girls who went through a certain eating disorder in their growing up. The focus is on impact of social networks and foremost on their motivations, which were crucial for them during therapy. Further off, we mention aspects which were impacted the most by the girls asked. The objective of the practical part was to find out specific motivation in therapy and evaluate the extension of social networks impact on the course of those disorders. The diploma thesis deals with the testimonies of adolescents and adults with dyslexia, it deals with the idea of whether dyslexia is a problem or an advantage for a person. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic concepts such as dyslexia and its effects on people in society. The first chapter is devoted to the types of approaches to education and the support of individuals with specific learning disabilities. The second chapter deals with the factors that affect the personality of adolescents and adults with SLD. The third chapter describes support and intervention for people with dyslexia. The main goal of the thesis and research is to specify individuals with dyslexia in the context of their self-concept and involvement in society. The practical part of the diploma thesis has been realized by means of a qualitative research survey. Possibilities for the development of cognitive function in the elderly

This diploma thesis entitled "Possibilities of the development of cognitive functions in the elderly" deals with the issue of activition of seniors, through which there is a development or at least the preservation of existing abilities of seniors. At the same time, the effort is to prevent damage to cognitive functions, which naturally weaken due to old age. The theoretical part describes and characterizes the developmental period of old age, cognitive functions and their possible disorders occurring in the elderly. Here the work focuses on the desciption of dementia, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, the possible causes, the course of the disease and clinical manifestations, consequences and therapeutic approaches. The third chapter is a key part, because the work deals with possible non-pharmecological approaches and activation of seniors. The empirical part describes the activation activities carried out by the Home for the elderly Háje, where the research was carried out. The empirical part focouses on the activition of intact clients and clients suffering from Parkinson's disease. The master's thesis deals with art activities for children with intellectual disability of preschool age. The theoretical section characterizes a child of preschool age, defines intellectual disability, its causes, classification, symptos and describes a child with intellectual disability of preschool age. Furthermore, there is an introduction of preschool education system in The Czech Republic and curricular documents and legal regulations dealing with preschool education, the organization and didactics of preschool education plus educational specifics of children with intellectual disability are stated in the thesis. The practial part defines main goal of this thesis, describes research technique and the institution, where the art activities were held, and children from research sample. Further, there are five art activities prepared as well as the description of their execution process. SAAKOVÁ, Johanna. Inclusive summer camp and its importance for intact participants. Prague: Pedagogical Faculty of Charles University, Department of Special Education, 2022. 121 pages. Thesis. The thesis deals with the operation of an inclusive summer camp, which is attended by intact children and siblings of children with disabilities, in addition to children with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities and Down syndrome. The thesis mainly deals with the programme during the week-long stay at the camp and also focuses on interviews with the intact participants. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the preparation, implementation and subsequent detailed description of the inclusive summer camp and also to analyse its impact on the child participants. In my thesis I would like to test the hypothesis that children at the inclusive camp in Bukova get everything they expect from it (quality program, friends, fun, safety, trust in leaders, etc.) even if there are children with disabilities who require a lot of care and attention from other adult leaders and assistants.
