Cooperation between teacher and parents at the beginning of the school attendance

This diploma thesis deals with forms of cooperation between family - school, their meaning at the beginning of the school attendance, the benefit of the individualization of the child's needs and the educational progress. Action research seeking to answer the question under what conditions the cooperation with parents has a positive impact on the learning progress of the child and in the individual case reports we describe the effective forms of the cooperation which contribute to the principle of the individualization in the education of children. Other methods in the context of the action research are: interview, e-mail correspondence, observation, recording, tripartite meetings, performances, evaluation. During our research we managed to establish cooperation with all parents of the pupils of the language course and also individualize their needs with regard to their cognitive abilities and home background. We have found that the parents are willing to cooperate if the teacher is able to create conditions for that not only at school but also whether he or she can choose appropriate strategies and forms of cooperation with regard to domestic conditions of the pupil. Multiculturale education in nursery school

This diploma thesis is focused on the way and realisation of multicultural training at nursery schools as well as on preschool children prejudices, children noticing ethnic differences among their peers and it also deals with prosocial behaviour of children who are finishing their preschool education. Theoretical part covers general level of the subject, which is multicultural training at preschool institutions in relation to the general educational plan for nursery schools. It also deals with questions of the origin of prejudices of preschool children and their educational rehabilitation. It determines the age in which children start to notice ethnic differences among their peers and the effects of these differences. Practical part deals with testing of chosen respondents who are finishing preschool education in two classes of different multicultural span and it also investigates the form of specific steps of multicultural education on a sample of nursery schools. The results bring information about prosocial behaviour and possible prejudices among children from different classes. The results of similarity and specific steps of multicultural education lead to the case study of good experience.
Individualization in education of children in kindergartens

Education and training affect the way children's behavior, we shape children's attitudes and values. One of the ways which we can develop the personality of a child in kindergarten is to use the principle of individuation. The theoretical part is, besides development of individualization in the upbringing and education of children of preschool age, given the current requirements for the individualization of children in kindergartens. It discusses the development and acceptance of the basic needs of children of preschool age, specifies the conditions, the position of teacher for individualizing education of children in kindergarten. The practical part verifies the possibility of individualization in age heterogeneous and homogeneous model. Assesses differences and experience in these models in the approaches of preschool teachers including the effect of a specific environment specific kindergarten.

Author: Monika Cihelková Abstract: The diploma thesis deals with forms of cooperation between a family and a school at the beginning of school attendance. The theoretical part defines the terms school, family and teacher. Then it characterizes the family, and also the school as an institution that combines teaching and educating (bringing up), and pays attention to involving parents in the process of education. It introduces possible forms of communication and cooperation between the family and the school, and also the cooperation based on curriculum and other documents (e.g. the programme Step by Step). The empirical part includes qualitative research (observation, interview, questionnaire), which is aimed at one of the effective forms of the school- family cooperation at the beginning of school attendance, namely at parent - pupil - teacher consultation. Development of Play of 2-4years old Children in a Kindergarten

Doctoral thesis in its theoretical and practical parts focuses on the free play of children in a kindergarten and its development in a group of 2,5 - 4 years old children. The theoretical part provides a deeper understanding of play, especially with 2 - 4 years old children, and lays a foundation for the research. The practical part, based on two observations (in the span of one year and half a year) of free play of two homogenous groups of children, monitors the development of play and finds out, how the quality of play changes with individuals as well as the group. This part follows the process of incorporation of the child into the play group, influence of gender of the child on the choice of a toy. Then it focuses on the course of pretend and role plays of 2,5 - 4 years old children. It monitors which themes of plays and which roles children choose and how active children are in the play with the children of similar age. The main method of the research is observation. The conclusion from the outcome of the research shows importance of free play for a preschool child and the changes in its course and confirms the influence of free play in the process of early secondary socialization. Communication between teacher and pupils at a primary school

Diploma thesis named "Communication between teacher and pupils at a primary school" considers adults attitude to children, specifically teachers attitude to pupils. It describes the development of attitude to children as an important factor which shapes educational attitude to children in a context of current changes in child education. The thesis defines two basic attitudes - the collegial and authoritarian. It provides information on components allowing an effective reception of information, which is neccessary to understand the meaningfulness of the collegial attitude. It characterizes effective and ineffective communicational skills that can be found in these educational attitudes. The practical part is an action research that maps abilities and skills of starting teacher which follow the colegial educational attitude in practice. It tries to assess the success rate of attempts of using the collegial attitude in teaching, which is being done through observation, self-reflection, observation of other pedagogues and getting feedback from them.
Influence of school climate to the teacher and pupils at primary school

The thesis in the theoretical part with factors and phenomena that affect the school climate, the climate in the staff and classroom in relation to the teacher's personality, professional competences, motivation and self - esteem in a profession. I tis interested in teacher's satisfaction and its impact on teacher's interact with students and colleagues. The approaches to studying climate are collected at the end of the theoretical part. The practical part presents research based on observation describes the atmosphere of the school, which is an important indicator of school climate. The factors are analyzed here that affect the educational and pedagogical work of teachers and their satisfaction in working life. Educational values from the perspectives of preschool teachers

Values and their role in preschool education are the main topic of this diploma thesis. The mail aim is to find the answer to the question what kind of educational values nursery teachers consider to be the most important ones from their point of view concerning the curricula. In the theoretical part of my diploma thesis I describe values from different perspectives: from philosophical, psychological, sociological and pedagogical perspective which is the most important ones. It is examined how values are connected with and grounded in the binding document "Framework educational programme for preschool education", I also focus on ethical principles of preschool teachers which should be followed and I describe the influence of values on shaping of children's behaviour. In the empirical part I introduce research information, data collections and data analysis and main results. The most important values from preschool teacher's point of view can be divided into three groups: moral values, values connected with relationships and values connected with skills. My diploma thesis focuses on the approach to family related curriculum at primary school. The theoretical part includes analysis of contemporary view of family in terms of psychology and sociology, summary of possible problems connected with the family related curriculum, some recommendations how to approach the family related curriculum and analysis of approach to this curriculum in FEP EE, three school education programmes and three sets of textbooks from primary education. The practical part examines the approach to family related curriculum from students' of teaching point of view.
