Biofeedback and its practical use

The aim of this work is describe common methods of biological feedback therapy that is used to treat some psychosomatic diseases. Subsequently, the description is focused on minimal brain dysfunction treatment by the help of EEG biofeedback. Properties and technical requirements for this therapy are concretized. The last part of this thesis is dedicated to the design and realization of practical software tool for EEG biofeedback therapy which is made in LabView 7.1. The M535 acquisition unit and NI USB-6221 measuring device are used for hardware solution.
The risk of learning disability in preschool children with communication disorders

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the risk of specific learning disabilities based on the partial function deficits in preschool children with communication disorders. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the terminology closely related to communication disorders. In addition, the thesis defines and clarifies the terminology of specific learning disabilities, their subdivisions as sell as describes the deficits of the partial function deficits, which are related to them. In the practical part, the course of the research investigation is described, and the analysis of the results is also carried out. The qualitative research was conducted in a preschool institute, and with the consent of the legal guardians of the participating children, individual anamneses of each children were taken. Subsequently, the diagnostic method of B. Sindelar, its evaluation and comparison with other individuals was carried out. The thesis also attempts to compare with the results published in the available literature on a similar topic. The bachelor's thesis deals with the education of pupils with special learning disabilities in secondary schools. The theoretical part consists of the definition of terminology and clarification of individual learning disorders. It also includes diagnosis and re-education of specific learning disabilities. The theoretical part is processed on the basis of information from professional sources on the studied issue. The practical part consists of an exploratory investigation focused on individuals with a specific learning disability. It uses a qualitative approach and contains the elaboration of three case studies. The exploratory investigation is based on the method of semi-structured in-depth interview and observation. The survey also draws on individual documents of the respondent, such as an individual educational plan or recommendations from pedagogical and psychological counselling services. The main goal is to find out how students with a specific learning disability manage the demands of their studies. Another area of interest is finding out what helps students in their studies and what, on the contrary, burdens them. We also find out how do teachers help them and how do they perceive their specific learning disability. Furthermore we examined what are the pupils' relationships with their classmates and how did they perceive the transition from primary to secondary school.
Influence of physical activity on pupils with specific learning disabilities at primary school

The diploma thesis the Influence of physical activity on pupils with specific learning disabilities at primary school presents readers with basic information and insight into the issue of specific learning disorders. The diploma thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is about definitions and causes of specific learning disabilities. Education and the legislative framework in the Czech Repuplic are also defined there. The second chapter is about approaches and reeducation of individual specific learning disorders. The text in third chapter is about the development of movement as an important part of human's life and it also describes therapeutical activities which are applied in primary schools. The goal of this diploma thesis is to present a set of games and activties, which help the development of gross and fine motor skills of pupils, and therefore affect the quality of learning. The research in form of qualitative research survey is realised in the practical part of this thesis and it's described in chapter four. The conclusion of the work presents an evaluation of the observed areas in which the students fail and in which there was improvement due to the application of music-movement activities. Analysis of German language textbooks in relation to the needs of pupils with specific learning difficulties

The thesis focuses on the analysis of the German language textbooks from Fraus (Deutsch mit Max), Hueber (Beste Freunde, Momente), Klett (Maximal interaktiv) and Polyglot (Macht mit!), which are examined from the point of view of the needs of pupils with specific learning disabilities, focusing on the visual form of these textbooks. The thesis not only evaluates the visual criteria of the textbook sets that are distracting for pupils with specific learning disabilities, but also looks at the manifestations of each specific learning disability. In the theoretical part, it also highlights how specific learning disabilities affect the acquisition of the German language and then proposes recommendations on how to work with pupils with specific learning disabilities in German language teaching.
The ways of identification gifted student with dual exceptionality by the first degree of elementary school's teacher

This thesis deals with methods of identification of a gifted student with dual exceptionality by a teacher at the 1st grade of elementary school. The aim of the work is to find out what specific methods teachers use to identify students with dual exceptionality. Do they use available identification methods for educators, or do they have their own tested procedures for identifying this group of gifted students. The aim is also to find out how the cooperation between teachers and experts of the school counseling office takes place in the identification of twice exceptional pupils. The theoretical part contains the characteristics of basic concepts such as giftedness, dual exceptionality, identification, methods of identification, specific learning disorders. Giftedness can occur with different types of handicaps, this thesis focuses on the combination of giftedness with specific learning disabilities that appears most often in the schools (participating in the research). That is the reason why specific learning disabilities are described in the theoretical part. The diploma thesis is devoted to individuals with dyslexia in adolescent and adult age, their perspective on their life with a specific reading disorder. Specifically, it maps the manifestations of dyslexia in the context of personal and working life. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the terminology related to specific learning disorders, the etiology and also the diagnosis of learning disorders. In the next part, the thesis deals with a specific area of specific learning disorders, namely dyslexia - a specific reading disorder. A large space in this thesis is devoted to dyslexia in individuals in adolescent and adult age. Furthermore, the employment of persons with dyslexia and also the personality traits that appear in individuals with a specific reading disorder. Considerable space in the theoretical part of this diploma thesis is devoted to a group of individuals with a double exception, thus persons with dyslexia, who also simultaneously show a certain talent in areas where difficulties related to dyslexia are not manifested.
