Study variants of specific wastewater treatment
Pernička, Jan ; Ručka, Jan (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis explores treatment options of wastewater with a low presence of organic pollution produced by minor pollution sources. The research part describes objects with a low presence of organic pollution in wastewater and possible treatment methods in dependence of pollution source's size. The practical part contains the design of technological options of treatment of wastewater with a low presence of organic pollution for a specific object.
Phosphate conversion coatings
Ševčíková, Barbora ; Trčka,, Josef (referee) ; Zmrzlý, Martin (advisor)
The main objective of the master’s thesis is to study the influence of phosphate coating structure on the mechanical properties of screw connection. The theoretical part describes the conventional phosphating process and it is followed by an analysis of current knowledge of phosphating technology. Experiments are carried out on screw valves mounted to a high pressure diesel pump by Bosch Diesel s.r.o., made of unalloyed carbon steel. To investigate the effect of the structure on the connection sealing, twelve kinds of phosphate coatings varying in one process parameter were prepared. The monitored parameters determining the phosphate structure are – type of phosphate and activation bath, its temperature and concentration and time of immersion. The sealing connection is examined during simulated assembly process by angle controlled tightening while measuring torque and permanent material deformation. Prepared layers are characterized by determination of weight per unit area and their structure observed by electron microscope.
Activation of sponsoring in softball club in Prague
Novotná, Tereza ; Čáslavová, Eva (advisor) ; Voráček, Josef (referee)
Title: Activation of sponsorship in softball club in Prague Objectives: The aim of this work is to activate sponsorship in a softball club in Prague by creating four personalised sponsoring offers for the preselected companies. These offers will be created based on analysis of current state of the club sponsorship and possible benefits the club could offer. Methods: The paper will use qualitative research methods. Firstly, the paper will be focused on analysis of the current state of sponsorship in the club using a qualitative interview with the general manager of the club and short interviews with the current sponsoring companies about their satisfaction. Afterwards, a list of possible benefits for the sponsors will be provided using data from an interview with a sponsoring specialist and the interviews with sponsors. Based on the list and the information collected during the interviews the personalised sponsorship offers will be designed. Results: Results from the executed research and the analysis of current state of the sponsorship in the club provided starting points for the creation of personalised sponsorship activation offers for chosen companies. These offers are considering the needs, goals and philosophy of the companies and the club. Keywords: activation, sponsoring, softball, sport...
(IN)DEPENDENCE OF AEROSOL ACTIVATION ON CLOUD POSITION
Zíková, Naděžda ; Pokorná, Petra ; Sedlák, Pavel ; Sokol, Zbyněk ; Ždímal, Vladimír
Five in situ campaigns focused on aerosol-cloud interactions were conducted at Mount Milešovka in the Czech Republic to gain more insight into aerosol activation and its dependence on meteorological parameters, mainly vertical air velocity and position within the cloud. The activated fraction was calculated from the difference of concentrations measured behind the whole air inlet and the PM2.5 inlet. The liquid water content (LWC) was calculated from visibility, cloud base position was estimated from ceilometer data. Vertical air velocity was estimated from cloud radar. No strong dependence was found between visibility and vertical velocity, suggesting that the clouds at the station are mostly of advection or inversion origin. Both visibility and LWC depend on the position within the cloud, with the highest LWC values found when the station was between 100 and 400 m above the cloud base, independently of the actual value.

Design of the Parking Brake Mechanism
Hagara, Adam ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Prokop, Aleš (advisor)
The main goal of the presented diploma thesis is the design and solution of the design of the parking brake mechanism. The theoretical part is devoted to a more detailed description and analysis of the current parking brake mechanisms, specifically the ratchet parking brake mechanism located in the automatic vehicle transmission. The starting point for the practical design part of the thesis is the preparation of conceptual designs together with determination of the most suitable and optimal concept of the mechanism. The next step is the detailed development of the chosen concept, which is accompanied by a series of calculations of individual components while complying with the given requirements. Subsequently, the functionality of the mechanism itself is verified using dynamic analysis, while individual verification states are verified and evaluated. At the end, the FEM analysis of the relevant components of the parking brake mechanism is also performed in order to confirm functionality, while based on the results, the optimization of the geometry of the relevant components is subsequently performed. The thesis also includes a drawing documentation attached in the annex of the thesis.
Cooperation of public administration and non-profit sector in the field of activation of seniors in Prague.
Mazánková, Adéla ; Angelovská, Olga (advisor) ; Frič, Pavol (referee)
This diploma thesis titled "Cooperation of public administration and non-profit sector in the field of activation of seniors in Prague" deals with the analysis of non-profit organizations operating in the field of activation of seniors in the territory of the capital city of Prague. The aim of the project was to identify cooperation between the main actors, namely the NGOs, municipalities, the City of Prague and the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. The theoretical part of the thesis defines basic concepts such as demographic ageing, activation of the elderly, non-profit organisation and public administration. Next, the thesis presents the current situation in the Czech Republic, providing more detailed information on the functioning of non-profit organizations and their forms, the age structure of the Czech population, strategic documents dealing with population ageing and, of course, a description of specific organizations involved in the activation of seniors in Prague. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews with NGOs and municipalities. The output of these interviews is a concrete description of the functioning of cooperation between different levels of public administration in Prague, which includes relationships, non-/formality of actions, initiative, the advantage of...
Canistherapy in a Retirement Home
PETRÁKOVÁ, Vendula
Canistherapy is an activity in which a dog has a positive effect on a person. It is a relatively new form of activation in retirement homes providing these people with many experiences that lead to the enrichment of their days. This bachelor thesis is focused on canistherapy in a retirement home. The goal of the thesis was to evaluate the benefit of canistherapy as a method in a retirement home. The thesis consists of two parts, a theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I describe zootherapy. It also characterizes canistherapy, its forms, methods, the goal of canistherapy tests, contraindications of canistherapy and further it includes canistherapy in seniors. Positioning is not neglected and in the last part there is the activation of seniors, which is an integral part of working with seniors in residential facilities. The practical part consists of qualitative research. The method of semi-structured interview consisted of 9 questions was used to obtain data. The research group consisted of 6 communication partners from two retirement homes, who regularly participated in canistherapy for at least one year. The obtained data are evaluated by the method of open coding with subsequent categorization. The results of the research have shown that canistherapy is a beneficial method in all areas of the client's life, where I included the physical, social, and emotional aspect. The greatest benefit has been found on the emotional components of personality. I believe that this thesis can serve as an information material for future social workers or even for future canistherapists who would like to deal with this method in the future.
The Benefit and Usefulness of Activation Method in the Nursing Home
BÁRTOVÁ, Eliška
Subject of this work is age, activation work and influence of that in retirement houses. Theoretic part is dealing with old age and involution changes. It´s describing sanitary facilities and adaption of clients in retirement house as well. Last but not least, it´s about active senescence and activation programs. Practical part is aiming at occurence of possitive influence on clients, who use activation work in two concrete facilities. I used quantitative analysis, which I performed in form of questionnaire with seniors from two retirement houses. Main focus of the questionnaire is influence of activations on seniors and their adaptation in sanitary facilities. Furthermore, I aimed at particular results of investigative inquiries.
