Bachelor thesis is engaged in an impacts of economic crisis on automotive indus-try in the United States of America. A purpose of thesis is analyse impacts of mortgage and financial crisis on automotive industry and each manufacturers of automobiles in the U.S. First part of thesis is briefly engaged in origins, process and consequences of mortgage and financial crisis. Further thesis describes initial analysis of automotive industry in the United States and the greatest automobile manufacturers. Next part of thesis evaluate: crisis in the automotive industry, an impact of crisis on each manufacturers and identifies other factors affecting the American auto market.
The Portrayal of the Roaring Twenties in Francis Scott Fitzgerald's Novel The Great Gatsby

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine the reflection of the Roaring Twenties in Francis Scott Fitzgerald's outstanding novel The Great Gatsby. The study uses historical academic texts to place the book in its literary context and analyse what particular characteristics of the period influenced the author and how he portrays them in his work of literary art. This thesis consists of four parts, each of which concentrates on a specific subject. The first chapter introduces the topic and methodology, briefly describes the plot and pays attention to the author's biography regarding its influence on The Great Gatsby. The second part deals with the portrayal of the post-war United States in the novel. The following section analyses how the writer describes American society and its issues, while the fourth chapter studies Fitzgerald's depiction of the culture of the Roaring Twenties.
Fenomén soudobého populismu a Donald Trump

First of all in my bachelor thesis I will focus on elucidaing the term contemporary populism. I will introduce political definitions and concepts of this term. Then I will describe populism in different stages: populism in pre-election campaigns, in government or eventually after the end of mandates. I will describe the features, populist rhetoric, argumentation, behavior and many other aspects that populist politicians adopt. I will describe some features on world, European and Czech politicians. In the second part the thesis, I will try to analyze the policy of Donald Trump, and I will apply the theories studied in the first part of my work with an example of his political activity.
The problematics of the evolution of euthanasia and assisted suicide in the United States of America in relation to the development of global human rights

My thesis addresses the question of how the issue of euthanasia and physician-assisted dying in the United States of America has been evolving in relation to the development of human rights. Taking a long-term view, arguments of the current debate on the issue of evaluation of both practices, euthanasia and physician-assisted dying has revealed the persistent controversial stance on moral justifications of ethics dissonance and the economic response. The point is to illustrate the scope of the dissociation by analyzing arguments and counter- arguments in relation to the question of the bilateral interweaving and interaction with respect for fundamental human rights and a synopsis of the ethics of dying that take into account the abuse of euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. The interpretation of the development of the attitude of American society and the American medical diaspora has been reflected. In euthanasia and physician-assisted dying debates, analytical synopsis of the development of tolerance in American society in the context of rational choice in view of the economic, ethical, and religious assumptions and the possibility of an alternative option have been critically scrutinized. The media coverage of the Gulf War in contemporary news

The thesis will deal with the 1991 Gulf War conflict, the reason for the occurrence of this series of events, the consequences caused, and above all the course of this power struggle from the point of view of the media environment. The core of the thesis will be an analysis of the domestic and foreign press during the conflict. This analysis will also compare the change in the attitude of the media and also the attitude of the military towards the media. This approach will be compared to previous conflicts, which include the Vietnam War, and will shed light on the possible changes that have occurred over time. The thesis will aim to introduce the reader to the conflict itself, presenting a comprehensive view of the selected contemporary press, focusing on Czech and American sources. The periodicals analyzed will be Red Law and The Washington Post from the period January 17, 1991 - February 28, 1991.
Intercultural analysis of marketing communication of CzechTourism agency aiming to recover tourism after coronavirus pandemic

This thesis examines the diversity of the CzechTourism agency's marketing communication on foreign markets, depending on the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic and cultural specifics. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with marketing in tourism and tourism market in general, then the work and structure of the CzechTourism agency is further described. That is followed by examples of how tourism was affected by the coronavirus pandemic and specific impacts on the Czech market. Communication within the marketing of destinations is generally very specific, the thesis not only describes these general specifics, but also deals with differences that appeared in connection with the coronavirus pandemic - and all of that is subsequently reflected in the research of the thesis. The last important component of the theoretical part of the thesis are intercultural specifics, which are generally demonstrated by the research of the Dutch sociologist Geert Hofstede. The general description is followed by the analysis of selected cultures - Italy, Japan, Germany and the United States of America - the conclusions of which are subsequently applied in the research. The role of conspiracy theories in American political culture. A case study of QAnon

Conspiracy theories can no longer be considered a fringe matter affecting only a few individuals. Their power has been greatly amplified by the development of information technology, allowing unknown individuals to reach the masses of people on an unprecedented scale. Conspiracy theories are not a new phenomenon, and American society has been influenced by conspiracy theories from the very beginning. Fear of conspiracies and conspiratorial thinking have played a significant role in American history. According to the conventional wisdom of conspiracy theorists, there has been a constant infiltration of enemies into key institutions of American society, which is predisposed to trust conspiracy theories because of its traditional values. Conspiracy theories are a tool of political propaganda, and QAnon has functioned the same way in American society. Thanks to the Internet and social media, which have contributed significantly to the distortion of shared reality, QAnon has managed to influence American society and become an influential conspiracy theory that has reached the highest levels of the American political scene. Comparing negative political advertising on social media in the USA and the UK with regard to voter protection

This thesis examines the issue of negative political advertising on social media in the United States and the United Kingdom. Furthermore, it focuses on describing the current legislative situation in both countries regarding the regulation of online political advertising and voter protection. Through two case studies of campaigns on the social network Facebook, the author examined negative messages of the Conservative Party in the UK parliamentary elections of 2019 and negative messages of Donald Trump in the US presidential elections of 2020. In the practical part, the author compared the use of negative political advertising in both countries and presented the shortcomings of the legislation governing political advertising, which manifested themselves in the selected election campaigns.
