Consumer credits in Czech Republic through the optics of behavioral economics : the impact of the form of presented information on the individual's decision making
Švejdová, Lenka ; Bauer, Michal (advisor) ; Ryska, Pavel (referee)
This study is inspired by behavioral economics, which reveals some of the biases in people's behavior and stresses the importance of the form of presented information. The aim of this study is to show the impact of the form of presented information on the individual's decision making in case of choosing consumer credit. We design hypothetical questionnaires each with one specific table introducing three different consumer credits. Each table provides participant with different form of contract conditions, which however always bear the same level of price and sanction information. Such price and sanction manipulations enable us to measure the participants' trade-off between the price of the credit and related potential sanction costs and how the preferences change if we add claryfing form of contract conditions. Empirical analysis reveals that if the conditions of the consumer credits are presented in more transparent way, it seams to be possible to nudge consumers towards safer credit without restricting the range of options. The effort of the study is therefore to show the importance of financial institutions providing borrowers with transparent and unambiguous credit contracts.

Students' relation to future
Menšíková, Veronika ; Pavelková, Isabella (advisor) ; Viktorová, Ida (referee)
This thesis looks upon students' views on the future. The text is split into a theoretical part and a practical part. Emphasis has been placed on a practical approach. The first part of the thesis introduces the theoretical delimitation of the dimension of time. First, our knowledge of the development of time perception in a person's life, with emphasis on the period of adolescence, is presented. Further, the most important theoretical concepts of the time perspective are presented. The greatest attention is given to the personality-motivational concept of the time perspective of the prominent French psychologist of motivation, Nuttin. Nuttin's area of expertise is the Future Time Perspective and his theoretical concept is the most elaborate and at the same time refined to an research level. Nuttin developed a diagnostic method of the time perspective - the method of motivational induction, which measures the scope and content of the future and which presented in greater detail in the theoretical part of this thesis. In this part I also look closely at the biodromal concept of the time perspective. Apart from Nuttin's method of motivational induction other diagnostic methods of the time perspective are presented with a description of which aspect of the general term 'time perspective' they are oriented at.

Large fixed price projects planning and analysis
Král, Miroslav ; Chlapek, Dušan (advisor) ; Reich, Pavel (referee)
A large number of different methods in the field of estimation of IS/IT projects have been developed in past years. Those methods should be used with regard to several factors. The choice and the application of an estimation method should take into consideration the current phase of each project and the wide variety of external factors, whose composition and intensity are very diverse and individual. The accuracy of the estimation considerably influences the success of the whole project. Therefore it is crucial to pay special attention to the mentioned phenomenon. The aim of this diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of the issue of the estimation of large projects for fixed price. The objective is particularly fulfilled by the provided overview and definitions of the chosen methods, the list of the most common mistakes and the interpretation of the results of an analysis concerning the portfolio of projects that were realised in an international company. The expected outcome of the diploma thesis is represented by the definition of the procedurally correct and comprehensive description of the creation of the price for a project with the fixed extent of work, which can be guaranteed with a reasonable rate of risk by a supplier. Another outcome of the thesis is the interpreted outputs of the analysis concerning the portfolio of projects realised by the international supplier of IS/IT products and services, which can be exploited for more effective estimations and project portfolio management.
