How Can We Google More Effectively?
Kolesárová, Lucia ; Shapiro, Irina (referee) ; Macháček, Mikuláš (advisor)
Current Google provides almost all type of information in a similar way - list of web pages. But Each information needs a different manner of mediation. A different way of visualisation. Therefore I decided to create Google of tomorrow. I am focused on a new way of spreading information and communication. I created new tools which help to achieve this vision. These tools operate in augmented reality. My diploma is mainly work of design fiction and information design. I use extrapolation to create possible future scenarios. Future abilities of Google tools are extrapolated from its current technologies.
Bridge over the Knovízský brook
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Lerch, David (referee) ; Panáček, Josef (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of the ghrinder bridge over the Knovízský potok brook valley. The main topic is static calculation of supporting construction of five span structure. Three studies were executed and one of them, pre-stressed girder bridge was chosen. The langht of the spans is 27 + 3 x 32 + 27 m. Static model and effect of loading are solved in software Scia Engineer. Reviews are caltulated by hand according to current standards.
Visualization of Transposons' Genomic Features
Nétková, Barbora ; Bendl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vogel, Ivan (advisor)
This thesis deals with visualization of transposons' genomic features. The Genomic feature format (GFF) is an input file to visualisation. This type of file has strict definition and it is nowadays a de-facto standard format for genome description. Although there are several tools for GFF visualization, an open source application with advanced visualization features is missing. This work presents a design of such a tool. The application has a graphical user interface to simplify the user's work and combines the advantages of existing commercial products with free access. The application provides simple way to import user's biological data from a GFF file, creates hierarchical tree of individual elements including a detailed internal structure visualization in a subwindow.
Path Planning in the OpenStreet Map
Dobeš, Jan ; Luža, Radim (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis investigates possible route planning methods in OpenStreet map and Robot operating system (ROS framework), investigates already existing solutions and then implements well integrated own library with own planning algorithms and other improvements. Finally, implemented features are verified.
Visualization and Simulation in Graphics Scene Using Delta3D
Martanovič, Lukáš ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is to describe the process of creating a visualisation and simulation application using Delta3D. First chapter contains description of library structure, followed by familiarization with basic mechanics and features of the engine in chapter two. Content of third and fourth chapter is an example creation of simple graphics scene and description of development of more advanced application using wider spectrum of features off ered by Delta3D library.
Analysis of Protein Structure Visualisation Tools
Klemšová, Jarmila ; Jaša, Petr (referee) ; Burgetová, Ivana (advisor)
In this thesis we analyze several tools for protein structure visualisation. We describe the structure of the proteins, the databases for storing protein structures and their data formats. Next part of the thesis, provides detailed information about selected visualisation tools and some scripts for them. The thesis also include an example of visualisation of the selected protein.
Cyclic Engine Visualization
Fajkus, Jan ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (advisor)
This Master's thesis deals with application design and implementation. Application is designed for composition of gears. It is built as a simple computer game. It also contains 3D model renderer, which shows the movement of gears in gearbox. Program is implemented in C language using OpenGL library.
Application for Data Presentation and Modification in Mobile Devices
Kučera, Pavel ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Trchalík, Roman (advisor)
This thesis is aimed to study the possibility of usage of mobile devices in the sphere of automation. One automation company needed to have in hand some PDA-based tool for a remote control of the technological process. There is analysis of ability of contemporary portable devices to run a application software. According to the specified requirements there is designed and implemented the client-server system based on the VNC technology. The server is a Linux-based PC server implemented using Xinetd daemon and the Xvnc. The two standard VNC clients were made. A free software available under the GPL license was modified to implement them. One runs on Windows Mobile operating system and the other one is a Java MIDlet.
Universal Measurement Station
Šantavý, Marek ; Bartoš, Pavel (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to create data acquisition application. The software module is designed for the industrial panel PC. Power Panel 520 from Bernecker + Reiner and the data acquisition board NI USB-6215 from National Instruments represent the fundamental hardware components for this project. Data acquisition and visualization tasks are controlled by a standalone application made in LabVIEW 2011. OPC, industrial standard in communication, is responsible for mutual interconnection between control (PLC) and data acquisition part. Network shared variables and Apple iPad 2 allow remote surveillance for operator. Finally, the creation of user-friendly interface and integration of technologies from different vendors, are main goals of this project.
An Interactive Simulator for Data-flow Graphs
Kovařík, David ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Charvát, Lukáš (advisor)
Data-flow graphs are often used by hardware designers. Such graph representation is also very useful for performing deeper analysis of a design (including functional or formal verification). Simulator presented in this thesis is a support tool for verification environment HADES. The goal of the simulator is to decrease necessary time and increase quality of the verification process. To perform a simulation efficiently, a specific simulation algorithm which saves computation time by eliminating redundant evaluations has been introduced. The simulator is equiped with several output interfaces connected to a single simulation core. One output interface provides direct simulation output in text format. The second is also textual, but allows user to control the simulation. Finally, the third forms a graphical interface that visualizes simulation results.
