This Master´s thesis deals with investing in buying a real estate in the various regional cities in the Czech Republic. It focuses primarily on the determination of the yield of these investments at a pre-defined parameters. There are also described and considered property, tax and legal aspects of investment options.

he aim of this thesis is to carry out an appraisal of a financial condition of a company. In the first part, theoretical start-points of Financial Analysis are scrutinised, with an introduction of the company followed. By taking the advantage of the Financial Analysis method, the financial condition of the company is appraised and the outcomes are compared with competition. In the second part, proceedings for risk elimination in the company management are suggested.
Securities portfolio optimization

This dissertation deals with the securities portfolio optimization. After introducing the definitions, I try to explain the particular investment instruments with regard to returns and risks. The following part provides a theory which tells more about different market risks and returns on the final securities portfolio. Concerning these models the effective portfolio has been set up.

This master's thesis is dealing with alternate form of financing – factoring and its benefits for the company. Theoretic part explains the basics of factoring, its types, advantages and disadvantages. Practical part displays the influence of factoring by help of financial analysis on specific company – how factoring helped to improve financial situation. Next the costs of factoring are compared with bank overdraft. At the end of thesis is defined recommendation to continue with factoring.
The Life Cycle of Solar Power, Efficiency and Return

This master’s thesis named “The Life Cycle of Solar Power, Efficiency and Return” is divided into seven chapters and focuses on the utilization of solar radiation in photovoltaic power stations and solar thermal power stations. The first chapter of this thesis familiarizes the reader with issues concerning renewable resources of energy and presents an overview of the focus of each chapter. The following second chapter is occupied with a topical research of renewable resources of energy utilization in Europe. Further the author presents a brief glance back at the past of solar energy utilization and also a prediction of future solar energy utilization in the Czech Republic. The chapter named “Specification and parameterization of individual technologies” contains an overview of today’s most utilized photovoltaic cells and panels together with an overview of utilized solar collectors and solar thermal power stations. In the following chapter named “Concretization of typical applications and realizations of photovoltaic and solar thermal power stations and determination of all related parameters” the author describes further components of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems. The economical aspect of photovoltaic component production together with an overview of utilized photovoltaic technologies is presented in this chapter. The problem of recycling photovoltaic applications and the current legislative situation regarding this issue in the Czech Republic is also outlined within this chapter. In the fifth chapter of this master’s thesis the author presents mathematical models of a photovoltaic and a solar thermal power station with the focus on economic aspects of investment efficiency assessment. Within this master’s thesis a simulation program in the computational software program Mathematica was created by the author. This program allows a calculation of economic efficiency and return of photovoltaic power station investments. The results of executed simulations are presented in the sixth chapter of this thesis. The last chapter contains an appraisal and summary of results achieved by the author of this thesis.
Project of the photovoltaic system

The diploma thesis deals with elaboration of project solar thermal and photovoltaic solar systems for all-season service. The theoretical part focuses on the general description of the solar thermal and photovoltaic systems, legislation of renewable sources in the Czech Republic and the status of photovoltaics in the Czech Republic. The experimental part deals with the design of measures for energy saving by using solar energy systems. These measures are proposed for construction of houses in Podolí u Brna, especially on extra-family house. The aim of the work is to make a proportioning, choosing the right parts and calculating the economic and ecologic balance. Finally, thesis gives recommendations for further action in saving energy in houses in Podolí u Brna.
Building an optimal portfolio in the stock exchange

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to build an optimal portfolio from selected stocks, and closer analyze the effect of diversification and its impact on the risk and return of the selected portfolio. The first part aims to define basic concepts and characteristics which are essential for orientation in the portfolio theory. The second part of this thesis aims to create a custom portfolio and to identify the efficient frontier of the custom portfolio.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the possibility of household investment in the money market in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical section we can find details of the cash market and its segments. Followed by financial institutions and relevant indicators influencing investor decisions. The practical part is focused on specific financial products. They are mutually compared and evaluated in terms of availability and suitability for the small investor. Return, risk and liquidity are also taken into account.
Analysis of efficiency of cultural grants in Prague

This thesis deals with the efficient usage of public resources. It defines the meaning of the efficiency and also describes methods by which efficiency can be evaluated. It also deals with a quality rating in culture and the issue of financing of culture, especially theaters. An important part of this thesis is also dedicated to the cultural policy of the Czech Republic and description of the grant system of the City of Prague. The last part of the thesis is a case study, from which the most important part is to analyze the efficiency of cultural grant -- as an example is taken The Semafor Theatre. The analysis is performed using an alternative approach to assessing effectiveness, within which are examined by effects arising from the expenditure of visitors of the theater and also the impacts on the theater and its suppliers. Evaluation of tax deductions leads to conclusion, what is the return of a grant to public budgets.
Creation of optimal portfolio at the Stock Exchange

This work ?Creation of optimal portfolio at the Stock Exchange? deals with formulation of portfolio risks and its profitability of fourteen bonds randomly chosen from the variety of industries. The first part focuses on the theoretical bases which are neccessary for the practical example of profitability calculation and the portfolio risks. The second part presents the optimal portfolio based on the consideration of the profitability and the portfolio risks.
