Gas Cylinder Counting in Camera Images
Klos, Dominik ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with an automatic counting of cylinders placed on the back of a truck using images taken by a camera mounted above the car. To achieve this goal, an SVM classifier based on HOG image descriptors has been trained to detect the cylinders. Further, a tracking method based on optical flow estimation has been designed to track the cylinders through image sequences. The result of the thesis is an application that counts bottles with precision 93,08 % placed on the truck and visualizes results of the detection.
Traffic Analysis from Video
Sochor, Jakub ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
Recognition of Poses and Gestures
Jiřík, Leoš ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis inquires the existing methods on the field of image recognition with regards to gesture recognition. Some methods have been chosen for deeper study and these are to be discussed later on. The second part goes in for the concenpt of an algorithm that would be able of robust gesture recognition based on data acquired within the AMI and M4 projects. A new ways to achieve precise information on participants position are suggested along with dynamic data processing approaches toward recognition. As an alternative, recognition using Gaussian Mixture Models and periodicity analysis are brought in. The gesture class in focus are speech supporting gestures. The last part demonstrates the results and discusses future work.
Optical Character Recognition in Images
Kadlic, Pavel ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on detection, localization, tracking and extraction of text from images and videos. There are described algorithms achieving optical chacarcter recognition. The thesis deals with implementation of algorithms, selecting a suitable sample of test data and its evaluation.
Study of R43/ I/43 Grade Separated Junction
Libichová, Jana ; Janda, Michal (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
Aim of this Master´s thesis is the road adjustment and design of new grade separated junction highway R43 and road I/43,of Černá Hora – Svitávka and to design optimal distribution of transport hubs including the design II/150 and III/37429, which should be connected with existing roads. The adjustment of the routes will be designed in the necessary extent with the optimal distribution of transport hubs regarding the best transport and economical solution and with minimal impact on the enviroment.
Optic disc segmentation in retinal images
Tools for Automating the Workflow Processes
Vančura, Tomáš ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Holek, Radovan (advisor)
The the thesis deals with tools for workflow processes automation. It describes in general what workflow is. It also briefly describes tools such as MS BizTalk Server, SAP NetWeaver, IBM WebSphere, ORACLE BPEL. The main part deals with Windows Workflow Foundation. This tool is decribed in detail together with its parts workflow runtime, workflow instances and workflow activities. One part of the thesis is a application, which uses all the possibilities of Windows Workflow Foundation.
Studies with baggage handling process in the airport environment
Kašpar, Peter ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create an overview of requirements to design baggage handling system, to describe a manipulation machinery that is used for transport, loading and sorting of luggage in a specific transportation. The other purpose is to summarize the safety the safety requirements for using of conveyors and create suitable working environment. I try to create complete system of baggage handling.

Development of map application for tracking in cloud - Server side on Windows Azure
Růžička, Vojtěch ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Skoupý, Radek (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to introduce the Windows Azure platform, its possibilities and limits, particularly with regard to interaction with mobile clients running on the Windows Phone 7 platform. This is demonstrated by the development of an application designed to ease navigation through difficult terrain. This application is primarily designed to help cyclists and people with handicap restricting their movement. The knowledge acquired through design and implementation of this application is generalized to be useful for other developers using Windows Azure. The application is developed with focus on the usefulness for the defined target groups. This thesis is focused on the server side of the application running on the Windows Azure platform. The client side of the application running on the Windows Phone 7 platform is not covered in this thesis and is described in detail by Bc. Vít Čurda in his thesis Development of map application for tracking in cloud - Client side on Windows Phone 7.
