Smart button for home automation
Matula, Ondřej ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a smart button which will be used as a periphery to a smart home. The smart button combines the functions of the standard light switch with the ability to control other devices. The smart button communicates via a wired CAN or PWI bus. Hardware designing process which include selection of a suitable components and most appropriate technical solutions is discussed. Another part of thesis deals with implementing a firmware that allows a smart button to communicate with the master system.
Science Fiction and the Prediction of Technology, Past and Present
Skorobogatova, Margarita ; Sedláček, Pavel (referee) ; Froehling, Kenneth (advisor)
Závěr popisuje výsledky provedených výzkumů a definuje případný vývoj v budoucnu.
Design of a Topology of a Distributed Control System for Home Automation Using IoT Technologies
Mokrejš, Jakub ; Baumgartnerová, Alena (referee) ; Ellederová, Eva (advisor)
Bakalářská práce vymezuje koncepci internetu věcí, chytré domácnosti a distribuovaného řídícího systému, poskytuje přehled komunikačních protokolů a služeb chytré domácnosti a následně diskutuje autorův vlastní návrh topologie chytré domácnosti. Popis služeb a prvků chytré domácnosti uzavírá teoretickou část práce. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na návrh vlastní topologie a prvků pro chytrou domácnost. Práce je zakončena porovnáním vytvořené topologie s ostatními topologiemi.
Mobile Application for Remote Measurement Support Using Sigfox Communication Network
Bulawa, David ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of this project is the implementation of a mobile application for the operation system Android.  The application supports remote metering via the Sigfox network and local metering via Bluetooth Low Energy. I implemented it natively in the Kotlin programming language using the Model-View-ViewModel design pattern. Measured values are collected remotely using the Sigfox REST API and locally using the Android Bluetooth library. The collected data are persisted in the local database on the mobile device. Then, the data is interpreted and visualized into graphs that the user can customize.  The created solution provides a possibility to acquire, monitor and visualize data from sensors, including their historical values. The application is easy to use, but also allows configuring data interpretation and supports several different incoming message formats.
Sub-sections of cost-effective building automation
Holoubek, Lukáš ; Lacko, Branislav (referee) ; Němec, Zdeněk (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is a building automation in which the circuits are controlled by a single-board computer Arduino and the entire system is operated by a mobile phone. The theoretical part describes a single-board computer Arduino, its parts, functions, capabilities and communication with it. In the practical part, the controlled circuits are described, implemented and a functional model of a house is created. The model of the house practically demonstrates behavior of the controlled circuits simultaneously with a possibility to manage and influence the system using a mobile phone.
Home Automation Based on Arduino/WeMos/RPi Platform
Ježek, Jan ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
This work aims to propose and implement a home automation system based on individual devices' connection using conditions and actions. For example, when a magnetic barrier determines that a door was opened, a command that turns on lights in the hallway is sent. However, if a card reader does not register allowed card, the alarm will be triggered. This problem is solved by a server running on Raspberry Pi, which is periodically checking all conditions that a user has defined via a web page. Based on their fulfillment, it executes predefined action. Created solution provides a way how to connect smart devices in household easily and how to automate them. Users must program each module, complex conditions, and actions by themselves. This work presents an infrastructure for communication and examples on how to create such modules.
Smart Home Solution Based on ESP Modules and Raspberry Pi
Bartoš, Martin ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
Nowadays, the world of smart devices in households is growing significantly, where the devices communicate with each other and make people's lives easier. However, a major problem with the purchase of these devices to common households is the high price and compatibility of those products from one vendor. The goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a comprehensive low-cost smart home solution that the user will be able to manage without much effort. This solution is implemented by the latest technologies and tools.
Home Automation Based on Arduino/WeMos/RPi Platform
Bubeníček, Daniel ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of home automation system based on Arduino, WeMos and Raspberry Pi platforms. Twelve modules for home automation were designed, which can be easily built on these platforms. The implemented prototype allows to control heating system and LED light, track temperature and humidity, detect newly connected Wi-Fi devices, human motion, door opening, create custom automation rules etc. The system uses pre-existing household equipment. The new hardware used in prototype cost only 1.600 CZK.
Smart Home
Konstantinov, Glib ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the analysis of intelligent devices and the possibilities of their usage in the household. Furthermore, the possibilities of using electricity from a photovoltaic power station and their comparison in terms of financial savings and efficiency of use are described. Moreover, in the theoretical part, a smart metering is described and methods of monitoring electricity consumption from classic electricity meters are presented. The practical part focuses on measuring the consumption of electricity by home appliances using a smart plug with the aim of their categorization, measuring the quality of electricity using a quality monitor MEg44PAN. The output of the bachelor thesis is the visualization of ways how intelligent elements can be implemented into existing buildings, smart homes and various combinations of appliances and resources.
