Industrial data logger
Matula, Ondřej ; Benešl, Tomáš
This paper deals with the design of an ON-LINEdiagnostic system named as ”industrial data concentrator”. Thepaper looks at the design itself in a comprehensive way andbrings together parts such as defining useful process variables, and the actual design of the industrial data concentrator both interms of hardware and software.
Automation of the control of the optical measuring chamber
Šatka, Richard ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
In this bachelor’s thesis, the problem of controlling the position of the rotary table in the optical measuring chamber and the measurement automations of the optical spectral characteristics using a spectrophotometer is described and solved. In frame of this bachelor’s thesis, a hardware and software solution was designed and implemented for controlling, calibrating and setting the position of the measuring chamber table. In addition, modifications of the software program for controlling the spectrophotometer and connecting the program with the service application for controlling the rotary table has been performed. The functionality of the system was verified by rotating the measuring table in the chamber to predefined positions, by measuring the optical emission spectrum of the halogen lamp and by measuring the optical reflection spectra of the sample with the hologram motives at various angles of light incidence on the hologram..
Test manufacturing line
Bartoněk, Josef ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is devoted to the design and implementation of a manufacturing test line. In the thesis, the individual used electrical components are theoretically described and their practical implementation is also described here. One chapter is devoted to the design and description of safety elements. Part of the work was also the creation of visualization and modification of the program.
The multiaxis manipulator
Majnuš, Martin ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Burian, František (advisor)
The thesis deals with the calculation of kinematics of the multi-axis manipulator type RLRL - SCARA robot, calculation of static forces acting on stepper motors and calculation of theoretical adhesion force required for the end effector. The suction cup diameter is also determined from the magnitude of the holding force. It also deals with the modification of the driver used for the Raspberry pico 2040 microcontroller. It also includes the design of the circuit board for switching the inductive load along with the design and subsequent physical implementation of the manipulator including the pneumatic and electronic parts. The last part of the bachelor thesis briefly describes the program for controlling the manipulator through the terminal.
Implementation of storage entity in S7-1200
Holba, Jan ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Husák, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with implementation of storage entity for small-volume liquid storage unit. It modifies current construction of existing storage unit and its method of liquid dosage, addressing numerous issues and ensuring greater unit reliability. Furthermore, it provides a characterization of the fundamental principles of Industry 4.0, the Self-Acting Barman testbed concept, and the ANSI/ISA-S88 standard. Both the storage unit and its control logic are based on this standard. Creation of a complex digital twin and its virtual commissioning in the MCD application of the Siemens NX program is described. Complete electrical schematics of the unit's wiring and as well as an operational manual for unit’s touch panel are also provided.
A System Control Using Simulink PLC Coder Tool
Musil, Viktor ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Jirgl, Miroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the introduction to the tool for automatic generation of PLC code in MATLAB environment and the platform for simulation of dynamic systems. The work includes the installation and revival of the platform and then simulation on the platform. It also deals with connecting the simulator to the PLC and creating a regulation loop. The work also includes the design of the controller with subsequent generation of PLC code. The result of the work is the control of the second order system on the PLC using the generated code and PLC library functions.
SCARA robot homing
Marčonek, Michal ; Burian, František (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design process of a new home procedure system for the SCARA manipulator from Seiko Epson. At the outset, it was first considered whether to use the original homing system. The principle of the original home procedure was identified, then attempts were made to make it work, but with negative results. For this reason, it was proceeded to create a new homing procedure system. In the theoretical part, the possible homing methods and their properties are explained. The new solution includes the design of new first and second axis sensors, which are solved by STGC absolute sensors. The other two axes are solved by end sensors. It was necessary to modify the cabling and add an input card to the control system. Finally, a Homing function block is implemented to ensure the detection of the manipulator pose after startup.
Greenhouse manipulator
Sukdolák, Martin ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the automation of the process in the greenhouse using a SCARA manipulator in order to make the work in the greenhouse more efficient and to reduce water consumption. The thesis discusses the design of this system and the manufacturing of the SCARA manipulator for this system.
Automation of climatic data acquisition
Sádovský, Petr ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Uher, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the design of a measuring system for a datalogger´s COMET S3120E battery. Also about the replacement of the existing communication cable between the datalogger and the PC. After a basic analysis of the task and description of the given components on which the design is based, a system is designed that not only ensures communication but also controls the charging and control of the datalogger´s battery. After the design, an estimate of the possible measurement error is made, which is carried out with the help of measurement uncertainties. Finally, the software solution and comparison of the resulting measurement with estimates are described.
Batch manufacturing control
Kysilko, Petr ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of master thesis was go trought topic about batch process control and to develop a library of blocks for the Siemens TIA Portal development environment. The ANSI/ISA 88 standard, which is used for the design of control systems, and the reation of P&ID process diagrams were discussed. Based on the knowledge of SIMATIC PCS 7, blocks for control modules, equipment modules and phases were created for the TIA Portal environment. For all these blocks, faceplate objects were created to represent the current device states on the HMI and also pop-up panels to control them. To connect the communication between the PLC and the HMI, user data types (UDT) were created for each block to save the required power tags. Subsequently, a visual control application was developed using the library blocks.
