Renewable resources of energy in Czech Republic
Trachta, Jiří ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Matoušek, Antonín (advisor)
The aim of the present thesis is the introduction of the issue of biomass and of its usage in the Czech Republic. The international of biomass growing as well as the waste product usage are discussed. The waste products are turned into biomass instead of being simply thrown away or burnt down. As far as the renewable resources are concered the Czech Republic is only at the begining. It is important to pay attention to the renewable resources as the amount of fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas) has been decreasing considerably. There are a few green alternative sources that are possible to be used in the Czech Republic. The biggest eletrical energy supplier in the Czech Republic, the ČEZ Company, has decided to start using water power stations in the future. Water energy has been increasingly used by hydro elektric power plants and booster power plant. Also wind energy has been used but not as much as in the countries with more appropriate climate. One of the most modern energy sources nowadays is the sun energy, to put it more clearly, the energy gained by the fotovoltaic method. The least used, but still possible way to gain energy is the geothermal energy that has been used especially in Island. In the Czech Republic, the most promising way to gain energy is the biomass that can be effectively burnt in the carrent power plants. Two main approaches to biomass usage developing in the Czech Republic have been the use of wood or the use of remnants of wood, be it wood chips, shavings, pellets etc. As I have already uttered earlier, the second source of biomass is the waste material from earlier human activites. Waste materials from households, agriculture and husbandry, muck or slurry can be made use of. This kind of biomass is burnt in the fermentation gas stations that are usually part of waste-treatment plants.

Jirsáková, Jitka ; Marádová, Eva (advisor) ; Kučírek, Jiří (referee)
Dissertation thesis deals with the strategies of education for partnership, marriage and parenthood in grammar school in the Czech Republic. The main objective of the thesis is to develop a teaching strategies for subjects and topics relating to the partnership, marriage and parenthood in grammar school. To achieve this objective detail targets have been set and constitute the content and structure of the work. The work is divided into seven chapters, the first four terminologically support research and application of the work. Own contribution was on the basis of gained facts (the results of the research) to create a guide with practical ideas how to tackle with these issues. In addition to that, how to work with grammar school students with these issues through different activities (meetings, lectures, projects and elective subject) by implementing the expected outputs of health education subject on grammar schools (under FEP SE), which includes the following topics.

Philosophy of Hope
Malá, Adéla ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Drozenová, Wendy (referee)
In this work I am looking for a hope in selective authors. This work is divide to five chapter. In first chapter treat about philosphy of hope in conception by G. Marcel. In short foreshadow his autobiography, what about sources of information leaned, what upon philosophy reassume and why occupy oneself by this question. In Marcel I target the hope from ill and dying, bud too the essence philosophy and her relation to freedom. In second chapter I target the especially on the authors theology hope, where is criticism some Utopian imaginings, but also a biblical motivation of hope for survival. I occupy oneself by hope in religion and too foreshadow relation art and hope. Following third chapter is about environmental hope, which are as practical product (on safe groceries, on water and fresh air for all people, etc.). The fourth chapter is about sense of life hopes, hard situations hopes and energy of hope face up injustice.

Investigation of CO oxidation on tin-cerium oxides by means of photoelectron spectroscopy and temperature-programmed reaction.
Václavů, Michal ; Bábor, Petr (referee) ; Matolín, Vladimír (advisor)
Metal-oxide and oxide-oxide interactions play an important role in heterogeneous catalysis. They influence electronic and crystallographic structure of catalyst surfaces, and consequently their adsorption properties. Nanosized powders of CeO2 supported tin oxide exhibit very good activity in NO reduction by CO. In order to contribute to the elucidation of the reaction mechanism we studied properties of SnO2/CeO2 by investigating the thin film model systems SnO2/CeO2/SiO2 prepared by rf-magnetron sputtering of ceria that were doped by tin oxide by means of thermal decomposition of tin acetate in air. The catalyst composition was characterized by photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS). The CO and NO reaction was investigated by means of a chip flow micro-reactor.

The activity of travel agencies in t terms of of value-added tax
Lischková, Lenka ; Svátková, Slavomíra (advisor) ; Jelínek, Michal (referee)
The topic of the thesis is to assess the activities of travel agencies in terms of value added tax. The work is focused on characterization and use of a special VAT scheme for travel services not only domestically, but also at European level, with emphasis on evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of special tax arrangements. The thesis is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter is an analysis of the current regulatory regime for special travel service in the Czech Republic. With the help of illustrative examples is ready basis for comparisons with subsequent modifications by the European Union and selected EU countries. The second chapter is devoted to the using of taxation of travel services from the perspective of European directives and requirements of the EC Commission. At the same time in the second chapter describes the system of taxation of travel services in Ireland, which represents a different taxation of this services. Aim of this thesis, which is to evaluate the use of special arrangements in selected Member States of the European Union, is achieved in the third chapter. Using the comparison it is shown that it is possible to gain a competitive advantage in the provision of services depending on the place of establishment of the travel services and therefore the legislation, which is governed by the service provider. Travel services provider can optimized their business thanks to competitive advantage.

Analysis of competition in the regional toy market
Červenková, Lenka ; Vávra, Oldřich (advisor) ; Pešek, Ondřej (referee)
My thesis deals with analysis of competition in the local toy-market concretely with analysis of two comparable toyshops situated in shopping-centers in central Prague. Preliminary I present and define key terms that are essential at comparison of competition ability (competition, competitive advantage, toy market, customer and his specifics). To make my own research I elected standards that significantly influence customer satisfaction while shopping and determine possible future shopping, and created questionnaire. During valuation I commented point gains, looked for strengths and weeknesses and designed possible improvements. Total score were used to compare competitive ability of both the firms. My thesis is not only instruction manual for surveyed shops and determination of their competitive ability. It could be used as a general guide to increase competitive ability of other firms or as a starting point for further consecutive thesis and researches.

Singularities in annual cycle of climatic variables, their long-term changes and relationships to atmospheric circulation
Radová, Michaela ; Kyselý, Jan (advisor) ; Kalvová, Jaroslava (referee)
In this thesis a statistical detection of singularities (strong deviations from the smoothed mean annual cycle of a climatic variable) was performed on the basis of mean daily air temperature at the Prague - Klementinum station over the period 1881-2000. A temporal stability of all singularities was investigated, and probabilities of the occurrence of the strongest ones and some of the most often mentioned ones were determined. Long-term changes of occurrence of these singularities and their relationships to atmospheric circulation were analyzed. The results show that the temporal stability (annual recurrence as well as regular occurrence at specific calendar days of a year) cannot be assumed for most singularities. Moreover, some of the singularities found using this procedure can generally be just statistical properties of a chosen sampling without relationships e.g. to circulation conditions. That is why it is not proper to look for singularities tied closely to a specific date and use only one reference period for their detection. Variability of atmospheric circulation is the main source of long-term changes of the occurrence of examined singularities.

Ichtyofauna of selected streams of Bohemian Forest
ŠRÁMEK, Jiří
Presented work is directed to summarize the results of ochtyomonitoring of five stream in Bohemian Forest in autumn 2010. The processing status is evaluated fish communities, especially their species composition, diversity, dominance, evenness and other parameters. They have been evaluated also physico-chemical properties of the sites such as air and water temperature, conductivity and turbidity. Last but not least were evaluated the characteristics of flows and in particular morphological characteristics, types of the bottom substrate and its contours etc. The evaluation of all obtained data showed that fish communities surveyed Bohemian flows are balanced, they are not burdened with invasive species and rand indicators correlated with the state of flow, geographic location and natural conditions. It was caught nine fish species in the total number of 963 individuals. Abundance was at all locations in the range 201,6 to 409,7 individuals per kilometer of flow, showed the diversity of communities from 0,372093 to 2,166085 (Shannon and Wiener index) and from 0,301804 to 0,866948 (Simpson index), then evenness of plant 0,372093 to 0,783906. The most dominant species was the brown trout, the second most frequent species was bullhead.
