The Needs of Birthing Women

This bachelor thesis deals with mothers-to-be needs. The aim of the research was to identify needs of the giving birth mothers, how midwifes perceive them and how the mothers perceive them themselves and then to compare those needs. A qualitative method of a non?directive interview was chosen for the research. The interviews were conducted with 15 midwives and with 31 mothers in four maternity hospitals, one of them in Austria and then they were subsequently processed by a method of a content analysis. Results show that for the mothers themselves a decision what people will be at the birth, a desirable approach of the staff, an actual care of the staff and their physical needs belong among the most important needs. The midwives consider the most important needs the atmosphere around the giving birth mother, further just as the mothers, the desirable approach of the staff, the actual care of the staff and the physical mothers´ needs and besides it their maternal competence, awareness and perception of the birth primarily as a result. When comparing individual hospitals there was found a fact that the Austrian mothers have least needs and Czech mothers giving birth in the smallest researched hospital have most of them. Midwives in individual maternity hospitals do not differ very much among one another in a perception of the needs, however mothers´ needs were least perceived by midwives in the largest hospital. The thesis showed that even the midwives themselves have their actual needs at their work performance and these needs were identified. The author points out that midwives should be aware of not only the mothers´ needs in general, but they should know the specific needs of the woman they care of. Therefore she proposes an introduction of a birth plan, which would be drawn up by the midwife together with the mother and which would become a part of the nursing documentation.

Planetarium

This diploma thesis focuses on a project of new building of Planetarium in Prostějov in Olomouc district. The project is in accordance eith official assignment and with contemporary Czech standards and legislation. Building is placed to biggest park of Prostějov, next to the centre of city on an empty plot owned by city. Object should serve to the people as a cultural centre. The building plan is irregullarly-sharped with maximum dimensions 47,6 x 26,6 m and has three floors. On the first floor is galery, literature store and cafe and on the second floor is projection room and observatory. Structural systém is skelet and walls from reiforced concrete. Foundations of the building are made of concrete strip foundation and reiforced concrete square footings and strip foundations. Ceilings are made of reiforced concrete panels. There are roofs made by steel cupolas. Unsound walls are made of porous fittings. All external walls and cupolas are insulated with mineral wool. Doors and windows have aluminium frame and triple glazing, inner doors are wooden. As result there’s structurally, operationally and aesthetically functional complex, that will be benefit for the city and its citizens, especially for their cultural life.

Interventions focused on the support of family members of person with mental illness.

(English) This diploma thesis deals with the issue of mental disorders and services provided to family members of people with mental disorder within a non-profit sector. The first part includes theoretical chapters which are processed by analysing available literature. The chapters inform about mental disorder, quality of life, and describe the care of people with mental disorders - particularly social skills and communication, housing, education, employment and leisure time. The theoretical part also focuses on social work with the mentally ill and includes a role of a social worker. In conclusion, the theoretical part describes the possibilities of supporting family members within the system of the care of persons with mental disorder, especially educational and psychoeducational programmes. The empirical part maps the current range of services for family members of people with mental disorder, and in connection with that, it determines what workers consider to be their benefit. Then, the views of family members on the psychoeducational programme and the current system of taking care of persons with mental illness were examined in a parent organization. Analysis of the position of persons with disability in the labor market in the years 2000 - 2014

This thesis deals with a position of persons with disability (PWD) in the labor market from the perspective of these individuals. Based on the data obtained by questionnaire survey was conducted SWOT analysis which shows that PWD do not perceive negatively their own position on labor market. However, there is always something to improve, whether by themselves or in the surroundings in which they move. Furthermore, this thesis analyzes the impact of legislative measures to promote the employment of people with disabilities in 2000 - 2014. Based on the data obtained by the Czech Statistical Office was conducted regression analysis of three models. Estimates of econometric models support the hypothesis that higher unemployment in the case of persons without a disability employment is declining persons with disabilities. Further, it failed to confirm the hypothesis that the impact of legislative changes to promote employment for persons with disabilities has a positive effect on the employment of these persons. The last hypothesis that says that these legislative changes have no impact on the unemployment rate of persons without a disability was confirmed.

Transition Programmes to Support an Independent Life for Individuals with Physical Disabilities

The aim of my diploma work is to present summary of transit programs in the Czech Republic and to map their contribution to quality of life of handicapped people. My work will consist of fínding out how transit programs facilitate handicapped people their integration into usual life, how they help them to realize their plans and organize their leisure time. In short, what kind of services these programs offer to their clients. The integrál part of my work will be a description of the situation of handicapped people in the Czech Republic (the description of their needs, current legislative) and drawing up case studies which will illustrate obtained knowledge.

Current position of people over 50 years of age on the labour market and their support in the Czech republic and selected European countries

This Bachelor thesis deals with the position of people over 50 years of age on the labour market in the Czech republic and selected European countries. Due to ageing of population the number of people finding troubles in job hunting is increasing. The theoretical part of the thesis shows the functioning of the labour market and enlightens the term unemployment. The next part is focused on the very people over 50, their position on the labour market and age discrimination. Aside from introducing specific employment supporting tools comprises questionnaire whose respondents were employed people over 50 years of age and its results shows how these people perceive their own position on the labour market. In the conclusion there is a summary of newly learned facts and posibble solution propositions for dealing with this issue.

Problems of the employment of the hearing impaired

This bachelor thesis concerns with the employment of the hearing impaired on the labour market in the Czech Republic. The purpose is to show which instruments can contribute to higher employment of the hearing impaired. The first chapters is dealing with the general definition of basic terms from the area of the hearing impairment, labor market and the legislative scope of the employment of the hearing impaired. The next chapters pursue the possibilities of the labor engagement of the hearing impaired, possibilities of their education and opportunities of how to extend the chance of their larger engagement in the labor market. The thesis points out the problem of the inelasticity of the labor market in the employment of the hearing impaired. There are several state's employment policies discussed in terms of their influence on the hearing impaired and their perception by the employers. Next is a discussion on the possibilities of the engagement of the hearing impaired's aids in the working process and this way a greater possibility of employment that could come with it. The thesis is supported by the thoughts and views of the people engaged anyhow in the questions of the employment of the hearing impaired from the point of the demand and supply. In the end there are several proposals that could lead to the improvement in the situation of the employment of the hearing impaired.

Design of snow scooter for rescue purposes.

The thesis is focused on the design of rescue snowmobile. This type of snowmobile is utility and is unusual because of bonneted cab. The snowmobile is suitable for snowy area for rescue purposes. The size of the snowmobile can seat three people, driver, attendant and lying patient. The thesis is focused on design of the exterior of snowmobile. Less attention is attended to interior of the snowmobile. Everything inside follows an ergonomic design. The result is the emergency snowy vehicle with rescue equipment.
