Realtime Weather in a Landscape Visualisation
Vlček, Adam ; Jošth, Radovan (referee) ; Seeman, Michal (advisor)
Thanks to the increasing computation power the complexity and dynamism of virtual reality is continuously improving. This work aims to examine influences of weather in a landscape and the means to simulate and dynamically visualize them in real time on the current personal computer hardware. The main goal is to find quick well looking approximations rather than a complex physically correct simulation. The work covers using modern programmable GPU not only for visualization but also as a powerful simulation instrument. The main topic is water movement in the terrain and its effects on it like erosion, snow melting and moisture impact on vegetation. This requires dynamic terrain texturing and algorithms supporting fast geometry and normals updates.
Reliefs
Horčicová, Monika ; Sedlák, Jan (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
This master´s thesis consists of three relief objects composed from femur bones. The first relief object is geodetic structure applied to the shape of a sphere. The following two are deformed by softening the material from which they are cast. The second relief object also works with geometry (a square at the base) and systematic folding bones according to a clear order. The third relief can directly interfere with the viewer - the individual femurs contain every two magnets and therefore can move freely with them after the metal plate.
Mathematical modeling of mechanical systems of vehicles
Zháňal, Lubor ; Svída, David (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of the computing system, which would allow interactive simulation of kinematics and dynamics of vehicle mechanical systems or general mechanisms with the help of modern computer technology. In the thesis is described a basic working principle, optimization of numerical simulation parameters, as well as the implementation itself in the form of functional application and its key parts. Described are also possibilities for the use of virtual reality devices in conjunction with visualization of simulation process. Final comparative tests have confirmed the functionality and high performance of the created system.
Media and its effect on the learning process in a web application
Drtinová, Kateřina ; Vondra, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Sigmund, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis concentrates on the utilization of multimedia in the learning process. For this purpose, information about memory function, media, multimedia transmission and perception and the interaction and gamification theories are synthesised. In the practical part of the thesis, a pair of educational web applications will be analysed, based on the comparison with the common quality of internet courses and specified criteria. Four main areas of interest are established for this assessment, based on the study of cognitive processes, pedagogics, communication theory and the principles of gamification. The aim of this thesis is to provide recommendations for an ongoing development of an eLearning project.
ROLE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE MULTIMEDIA WORLD
Zídka, Lukáš ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Černý, Zbyněk (referee)
The human world is constantly evolving. Today's modern society is, within the technological advances and globalization, more dynamic than ever before. The same applies to the current conception of the world of photography. This area of human activity has undergone many changes during its existence, both of technical and intellectual character. What role does the photography play in today's modern society? Does it differ from the past, and if so, to what extent? What do new technologies bring to photography and to what extent were they influenced by it? And above all, to what extent can we use a photography in combination with other multimedia components to create a complex multimedia experience? The analysis of these questions and their answers form the basis of this bachelor's thesis, regarding interpretation of results and practical experience gathered from group project Multimedia Display and Development of National and Cultural Identity Program (NAKI) created by the Cultural Ministry of the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to provide an effective theoretical basis for understanding the importance of photography in order to reveal assumptions for maximal utilization of its potential in creating a multimedia project.
Interactivite content of electronic books
Gorbatiuc, Julia ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This thesis Interactive content of eBooks presents complex view on preparations and development of interactive and enhanced electronic book from technical, legislative, content and economic perspective. It describes types of interactivity modules, available interactive eBook formats, reading devices and software. It also compares USA market to the Czech market of interactive eBooks. This thesis processes results of questionnaire survey in the area of Czech readers awareness of interactive eBooks. In practical part of the thesis process of interactive book creation in Czech environment is engineered.
The interactivity of ICT tools
KORTAN, Michal
This bachelor thesis deals with the concept of interactivity which, in course of time, became overused, not only in terms of information systems. Thus, the thesis also discusses the unclear interpretation of interactivity and aims to express more apt definition. The interactivity is analyzed across various fields, which further provides a basis for the establishment of unbiased model called classification frame defining a degree of interactivity of specified complex systems.
Interactive tasks for informatics contest
KADLEC, Jan
This work deals with the preparation, production and evaluation of the respective roles of interactive web applications for a contest iBobr - Bobřík informatiky. It also strives to clarify and bring technical and organizational challenges associated with implementing these tasks and their application in the real competition.
Hypermedia and interactive journalism
SKLENIČKOVÁ, Kateřina
The onset of digital technologies in the late 1990s significantly influenced the nature of production, distribution and consumption of journalistic content: the emergence of Internet has forced print and audiovisual media to go digital and transfer their content online; journalism has embraced the multimedia phenomenon; the so-called citizen or participatory journalism emerged; the traditional, mostly one-way communication has changed to all-to-all communication in many ways; a number of hypermedia and significantly interactive projects balancing on the boundary between journalism, documentary and activism have appeared. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate these key trends and to describe the basic characteristics of the new media journalism. The first part summarizes the basic features of academic reflection of these trends; the second part introduces some selected on-line projects which represent the stated trends.
Proposal the Usage of 3D Technologies in Museum Branch
Paločko, Vladimír ; Kubaš, Mario (advisor) ; Vítek, Pavel (referee)
This thesis provides a theoretical study of museums and how today's available technologies for 3D visualization and virtual reality are used in present day museums to further its main objectives. It explores the technologies and proposes additional implementations by thorough analysis of the positive and negative effects and makes a brief overview on possible ways they may be financed.
