Multiplatform Access for Databases Applications
Hromádková, Pavla ; Jaša, Petr (referee) ; Kopecký, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with possibilities of accessing database systems from different devices. It contains analysis, concept and description of the following information system implementation with draft model Model-View-Controller. Concept of the system is made in UML language. The PHP programming language and MySQL relational database server were used during the progression of the system. User interface was implemented by HTML and WML technologies. Final look of the application was achieved by using CSS web technology. Technical report describes multilayer architecture and its advantages in the creation of the information system. It deals with MVC draft model, which is useful in the cases, where´s the need of the separation of the application look, its communication with database and application logic. The work oncemore describes analysis, concept and implementation of multiplatform application for the Drak travel agency. Systém could be currently accessed by handy or web browser. The application is easily extensible for the use in another platform.
Reimplementation of GIS GRASS
Bartoň, Radek ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Hrubý, Martin (advisor)
The geographical information system GRASS has become a standard on the field of geographical phenomenon modeling during its 26 years old lifetime. However, its internal structure follows practices from the date of its creation. This thesis aims to design a possible shape of internal parts modernization using a component architecture and object-oriented design patterns with distributed computing and dynamic languages support in mind. The designed system should stay identical from the user's point-of-view. Design results are proven on a prototype library implementation called the GAL Framework.

Design and Analysis of Sport Information System
Stružka, Jaroslav ; Lukáš, Roman (referee) ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis contains description fo analyze, design and futher implemantation of an information system. Information system is designed for evidence and publish scores of matches, group table, informations about teams, players and coaches, statistics of teams and players. Within the score system stores more detailed information about the game like number of viewers, authors of goals, number of cards, substitutions and times of theese actions. It stores informations about stadiums, where are the matches played. Part of the system is item of artificail intelligence, which links referees to the matches that should by played
A Tool for Testing of DPWS-Based Web-Services
Malášek, Vojtěch ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a design and implementation of tool for testing and monitoring of DPWS-based web-services. At first the thesis contains explanations of basic concepts related to Web Services, DPWS and used design patterns. Further the thesis contains the design and tool implementation description. The tool provides a client-side services implemented by Windows Communication Foundation, which communicates via the DPWS-based service. The service is implemented using .NET Micro Framework and can be run in the emulator in the integrated development environment. Obtained results and options for further extensions are mentioned in conclusion.
Usage of Design Patterns in Software Development
Volf, Jiří ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The objective of my MSc Thesis was to map over reasons, why are design patterns so popular in the modern information systems and other applications development. It is considering with the basic aspects of object-oriented systems, expounds the importance and structure of design patterns. The explication is followed by categorization of design patterns and in more detail is focused on the most frequently used design patterns including their contribution or complications, which could eventually occur. The advantages of design with design patterns are demonstrated on practical example of database application.
Analysis and Design of Company Management System
Reniers, Petr ; Biel, Libor (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
With arrival of the information technology new types of easily accessible web applications and systems developed on standard technologies have begun to emerge. Nowadays we cannot even imagine the companies and the world without these systems. They have garnished massive popularity among companies, users and developers while being created for the internet applications as well as corporate intranet applications. Considering an emergence of object oriented design and design patterns it is important to test these modern tools on development of an information system and to analyze situation on the market with small company information systems. This thesis acts just this problem. I develop company management system, which serves for better management of firms, cost reduction and gain enhancement.
Design patterns in PHP
Havel, Jan ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Ristič, Marko (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to give a basic overview of the areas of support objectoriented programming and design patterns in the context of the programming language PHP. This bachelor thesis includes recherché part with summary of the historic support of objectoriented programming in programming language PHP and a summary of the development and importance of design patterns. Moreover, a handbook with selected design patterns, which are useful in this programming language, was created in another part of the work. Selected design patterns in handbook are amend with sample codes on implementation of simple and cogent situations which facilitate the understanding of the pattern. In conclusion, there is a section that contains recommendations for modification of introductory courses in programming in programming language PHP at the University of Economics.
Framework for extending the functionality of the user interface components in Java
Herain, Vít ; Šlajchrt, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (referee)
Within the Java platform, there are many easy reach GUI libraries, among which developers can choose which one to use for their own GUI applications. These GUI libraries have some common features that allow to abstract to some extend over the use of a particular library. The thesis describes a framework which has been developed with this idea. Framework provides the possibility for developers to extend the application containing the text components, menus and toolbars of universal extension facilitating work with the text. In the theoretical part there are briefly discussed libraries such as Swing, JavaFX2, Apache Pivot and Google Web Toolkit. Further, there are analyzed design patterns, which are linked to the framework and abstraction over the GUI libraries and applications.
Maturity model of source code of object-oriented aplications
Pavlíčková, Jarmila ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Šimůnek, Milan (referee) ; Havlíček, Zdeněk (referee)
The goal of this disertation was to develop a maturity model for source code of object-oriented applications and to use this model to verify the quality of the source code of student's applications. The starting point of the thesis was devoted to the analysis of existing standards, norms, methodologies and summaries of best practice for assessing the quality of software products and analysis of the factors that affect the quality of the source code of object applications. To validate the results of the analysis of these factors, the analysis was complemented with a field research conducted among specialist with programming experience. The model to determine the maturity of source code of object-oriented applications was designed according to the analysis and the questionnaire. The statistical method of cluster analysis was used in the design of the model. The model was designed and the procedure of its use in the evaluation of source code was described. This model was pilot tested in education program at the University of Economics in Prague.
