The Picture as a Phenomenon

My thesis consists of three parts: the practical, the theoretical and the didactic part. In the practical part I represent my own work, which examines the phenomenon of the pictures using pictures of one persone. By other words I represent my personal conception. I unrestand picture as something that stands at the begining of the work and can be expresed by depiction. The practical part became the starting point for the following parts. In the theoretical part I look for connections between my Picture and Pictures of the Czech artists. By other words I look for some resemblance between them. The third part deals with my pedagogical activities. An important intention of my thesis is not only the view of my work, or my own self-reflection and a way of searching for relations to the art. But especially the afford to use my inspiration in the pedagogical activitiy. I verify the possibility of using my own inspiration at school with the students of secondary schools. The Concept of Teaching the Present Perfect and the Simple Past tenses in Textbooks of English for Middle Schools

This diploma thesis is concerned with a comparison of the concept of teaching the Simple past and the Present perfect tenses in textbooks of English for middle schools. The theoretical part deals with the comparison of understanding both tenses in scientific grammars and also the comparison of interpretation of these tenses in pedagogical grammars. It is also concerned with the importance of grammar in the process of teaching English. The practical part focuses on the presentations of the Simple past and the Present perfect in textbooks of English for middle schools. It focuses mainly on the types of context they are presented in and also types of exercises intended for practising both tenses. The aim of the comparison of textbooks in this part is also to find out if the presentations of both tenses correspond with the description acquired from scientific and pedagogical grammars.

Measuring of school discipline from the perpective of primary school's pupils and teachers by using anchoring vignettes method

This thesis is focused on research of school undiscipline (misbehaviour) by using the anchoring vignettes method. The results obtained of qualitative research (focus groups and in-depth interviews) were used for the compilation of the vignettes and questionnaire. In its theoretical part, the thesis introduces with multi-dimensional concept of school discipline and with works of the other authors. Further the thesis presents an overview of research methods for measuring of school discipline. The practicle parts presents the results of the author's own survey. These results have led for construction of the questionnaire with anchoring vignettes. These ones were compiled by using results of focus groups with 13 - 15 years old pupils and in-depth interviews with their teachers. The final questionnaire will be standardized within author's doctoral studies a thesis. Even so, it appeals that the anchoring vignette method takes its place in educationas scienses. The Authority of the Teacher.

Diploma thesis describes teacher authority from many views. It clarifies conception of the authority and it deals with the role of authority in the society and in the education. Thesis characterizes authority in the range of teaching and it focuses especially on teacher impact during pedagogical work. Diploma thesis investigates factors that effect teacher authority from student's and teacher's views respectively. Data from question-forms, which were obtained from eight schools from different cities, are basis for this work. respondents participated in this investigation. respondents were students and only 13 respondents were teachers. Results from this investigation validate authority as a necessity in the teaching and show types of competences that underline teacher authority. On other hand, manifestation of factors that attenuate teacher authority revealed complexity of interactions between teacher and student. Also severity of teacher work implies from presented investigation.

Needs of Children in Nursery School and their Evaluation

Téma, které bylo zvoleno pro bakalářskou práci, bylo vybráno na základě několika absolvovaných odborných pedagogických praxí autorky při studiu na vysoké škole. Během posledního ročníku studia se autorka rozhodla sledovat, zda je dětem, navštěvujícím mateřskou školu, v dostatečné míře dána možnost uspokojovat základních potřeby, s důrazem na potřebu spontánní pohybové aktivity. V této práci se autorka snaží zjistit, jaké mají učitelky teoretické znalosti, do jaké míry naplňují potřebu pohybu, zda mají děti volný prostor ke spontánnímu pohybu, ke hře a jak učitelky tuto potřebu evaluují. Education Programmes in Nursery Schools

The thesis deals with different approaches to the creation of school educational programs in the context of the Framework Educational Program for Pre-School Education. The work combines theoretical and empirical approach. In the theoretical part, historical milestones influencing the educational processes in the Czech lands are described. The text presents, in the chronological order, characteristics of curriculum and pre-school educational programs as they had been introduced between 1945 and 1990. The content summarizes current educational trends, major policy changes and requirements applied on contemporary policy documents. The thesis also deals with new policy strategies and procedures connected with the societal changes and pedagogical findings, defines new pedagogical terms and points out the importance of policy documents. The empirical part includes a completed research project on a regional level analyzing approaches to the development of school educational programs, both in terms of concept and form. It also studies the share of directors, teachers and parents in the creation of such a program and identifies problematic areas on the way to an own school educational program. A Game as a Method for Interaction in School

My Degree Work deals with activation methods in a primary school. The goal of the dissertation is to find out the instruction potential of games. The work monitores at the same time whether a game, as a teaching method, can contribute to forming a positive climate of a class. In the theoretical part there is collected knowledge of pedagogical literature concerning an influence of a game, as a method , on an educational process, activation of pupils and climate of a class. In the practical part there is verified an instructive potential of games and their positive influence on evolution of a class climate in a form of an action research. The Personality of the Teacher in Changing Times

The intent of the Dissertation is to outline the development of teacher's profession on selected pedagogical personalities from the second half of the 18th century to the first half of the 20th century. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical ones. The basis of the theoretical part is represented by profiles of four padagogical personalities. The personality profiles provide mapping of the life and activities of Jakub Jan Ryba, Jan Vlastimír Svoboda, Věnceslav Metelka and František Bakule. An integrál part of the theoretical section is also formed by tips for trips to the places in the Czech Republic which are linked with these teachers. The basis of the empirical part is represented by the project referred to as "Teachers Personality in the Course of Time Development". This project is built on the professional profiles of three pedagogical personalities (J. J. Ryba, V. Metelka and F. Bakule) which are designed for pupils of the 5th class of the elementary school. The project should make pupils familiar with the historical period through the life and activities of teachers.
