Blood vessel tree segmentation of the mouse liver in CT data
Smékalová, Veronika ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
The methodology of visualization of soft tissue is in biology and medicine a topic for many years. During this period there were approving many techniques how to achieve accurate and authentic image of the researched object or structure. X-ray computed tomography is very helpful to get this goal but is necessary to improve contrasting techniques as well as the techniques of image post-processing. This thesis deals with imaging soft tissue. Specifically, it focuses on mouse liver contrasting with the artificial resin Microfil. Thesis also describes image processing technique (thresholding and region growing) for the data of the measurement with the goal of the visualization of the sample in 3D.
Visual inspection
Lancz, Michal ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This semester thesis deals with the issue of visual inspection. As a gruop of controlled objects we have have chosen needles. In this work basic knowledge on the topic of computer vision is described. In the first part, methods of image processing such as smoothing filters and edge filters are discribed. The selected programming environment is Matlab. This enviroment can easily present and compare the obtained result. Following part presents the examples of the used resultant methods on the sample picture.
Study population of bacteria by image analysis methods
Ševčík, Jan ; Veselá, Mária (referee) ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on monitoring and application of image analysis methods on Bacillus megaterium and Cupriavidus necator bacteria. The introduction describes a general knowledge about bacteria, microscopic and image analysis methods. At first it was necessary to prepare suitable microscopic specimens using Gram staining for the observation of a bacteria cell. Every picture of bacteria was taken using a CCD camera and a microscope. Box–Counting method was used to identify the optimal threshold value, corresponding to their fractal measure (or surface areas covered with bacteria) and fractal dimension (or entropy of their arrangement on the surface area). After thresholding, the images were further processed using the Mass–Radius method, which defines a distribution of bacteria relative to the centroid of a cluster.
Game with Hand Gesture Control
Baštek, Jozef ; Žák, Pavel (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This paper is intended for computer vision usage as a way of human-computer interacion. It covers design and implementation of interface for game controlling by hand gestures and movements, that are captured by camera. It describes and evaluates image segmentation algorithms (background subtraction, thresholding, Bayes' theorem, gaussian model) as well as hand gesture classification algorithms (knowledge-based classification, Hu invariant moments and K-nearest neighours). Implementation includes machanical contruction of camera holder and 3D FPS game as a interface usage demonstration.
Education Computer Program for Demonstration of Images Colors Space Reduction Methods
Pekař, Daniel ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
This work describes an Education Computer Program for Demonstration of Images Colors Space Reduction Methods creation. This program does not only constitute a means to reduce colors space in images but adverts to principles of individual reduction methods as well. The possibilities of program´s employment expand due to theoretical background´s incorporation into a practical application. The program can be in service as a reduction methods´demonstration tool in a class or as a study material for an individual learner.
Experiments with Images of Eye Retina
Floryček, Jan ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Fiala, Jiří (advisor)
The layout of blood vessels in human eye retina is one of the important physiological biometric characteristics of every individual. The processing of color retinal images and extraction of the blood vessel structure is an important phase in diagnostics of many eye diseases as well as in gathering biometric data. An automatic method for image processing, extracting the blood vessel structure and saving a template for usage in a biometric system will be described in this bachelor thesis. The method was developed and tested on actual retinal images acquired by digital fundus camera and it was implemented in language C++ with the use of OpenCV library. This thesis also contains a brief introduction to biometrics, computer graphics and medicine.
Wavelet Filtering of ECG Signals
Mrázek, Jiří ; Vítek, Martin (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals myopotential denoising of ECG signals with using wavelet transform. There was used wavelet denoising subsequently wiener wavelet filtering. In both cases were found the most suitable coeficients for the best denoising. It is meant mainly settings suitable parameters for ideal filtration setting value of threshold, number of decomposition level, selection of thresholding and type of filter. These parameters are tested on real signals. Denoising is realized in Matlab version R2009b.
Processing of Images of Petri Dishes
Adámek, Jakub ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis deals with image processing of Petri dishes. The first part is about terms and procedures in laboratory practice. The following part is about devices and algorithms for image analysis of Petri dishes. The second part is about draft and implementation of own colony counting application, which was developed in cooperation with the microbiological laboratory. The application is developed for mobile devices running Android OS. The master thesis also includes the design and creation of two lighting units, which uses as an accessory for better results in the analysis of Petri dishes. In conclusion are presented results, compared lighting units and various types of mobile devices, on which the application was tested.
Interactive evaluation of current biliard situation during game
Sedlařík, Jan ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is evaluation of images by computer vision methods. The elaborated scene is billiard game scanned by camera. Using pre-processing, image segmentation and object classification we will try to understand the gameplay situation and uvaluate it in accordance with applicable rules.
Segmentation of soft tissues in facial part of mouse embryos from X-ray computed microtomography data
Janštová, Michaela ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelík, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a segmentation of soft tissues in facial part of mouse embryos in Matlab. Segmentation of soft tissues of mouse embryos was not fully automated and every case needs a specific solution. Solving parts of this issues can provide valuable data for evolutionary biologists. Issues about staining and segmentation techniques are described. On the basis of accessible literature otsu thresholding, region growing, k-means clustering and segmentation with atlas were tested. In the end of this paper are those methods tested and evaluated on 3D microtomography data.
