The Position of Sport Manager

Who is a sport manager? What is different in his or her work with regards to each other managers? Both questions are answered in this thesis. This bachelor's thesis mentioned basic information overview about the sport manager's role as it. In theoretical part of the thesis is introduced which area is typical for the sport managers, which activities must be done and which roles or actions sport managers have. Practical part is based on a comparison between theoretical premises of study courses of universities like Sport Management and the practice experiences. Research is made thru questionaries' investigations with the sport clubs managers. This thesis in final part describes sport manager's position. Result is comparison if the theoretical qualities provided by universities corresponded with the sport managers' work.

New Public Management

This thesis deals with the reform theory of public administration called New Public Management, which is based on tools used in the private sector. The theoretical part provides a critical view of rational bureaucracy and seeks to highlight the benefits of using modern methods of management in the public sector. The practical part, mainly focused on the implementation of the New Public Management tools in the practice of public administration in the Czech Republic, is based on the results of empirical research.The survey results indicate use of particular methods of measuring the quality of public administration in the Czech Republic.

Legal Aspects and Practical Consequences of the Conformity Assessment - CE Conformity Marking

The topic of my diploma thesis is removing the technical barriers of the trade of goods via harmonization of the essential requirements on the products -- mainly the legal aspects and practical consequences of the conformity assessment and the CE conformity marking. The goal of my thesis is firstly to find out what the main objective of the CE marking is and whether it really fulfills its role. Secondly, I want to find out how the process of conformity assessment looks like in practice. Thirdly I want to find out how the market surveillance is organized and how effective it is. My thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter depicts the situation as it had been before the marking was introducted. The second describes the statutory regulation of the CE marking system. The fourth chapter is dedicated to the process of the conformity assessment. The fifth chapter is about the market surveillance. The final sixth chapter explores problems that are related to the CE marking system.

Flexible forms of employment

The thesis deals with flexible forms of employment which are used in practice most. First it puts the concept of flexibilisation into context. The thesis defines the basic concepts and classification in connection with flexibility. Then it explains steps which led to the development of flexibility in the Czech Republic. The thesis has two main aims. The first aim is to evaluate the functioning of chosen flexible forms of employment in practice and to reveal their strengths and weaknesses by way of examples from practice. The second aim of the thesis lies in judging the impact of flexibilisation on individual classes of society and in drawing conclusion whether the flexibilisation is a positive or negative phenomenon for given groups in society.

Costs and benefits of the privatization process in a period of transition economy in the Czech Republic since 1990

The Czech Republic went through transformation of economy in the 90s. The key part of this proces was privatisation. It became the most important political economy proces in the history of the Czech Republic. The privatisation proces especially the nonstandard voucher privatisation is still important topic of public, politics and economic discussion. Purpose of this thesis is to evaulate the privatisation proces in the terms of its revenues and costs. The first chapter is focused on the economic history of privatisation ideas and its use in political practice. The main part is devoted to the analysis of the privatization process in the Czech Republic. Evaluated are the various methods of privatisation and the process as a whole. The final two chapters are focused on the comparison of the Czech privatization processes with the same processes in Hungary and Poland. Evaluated is the speed of the privatization process, the fiscal impacts and impact on the development of selected macroeconomic indicators. The working hypothesis was confirmed: The proceeds of the privatization process exceeded its costs.

Hand-grip examination of neurological patients after stroke and traumatic brain injury

This thesis deals with the handgrip examination of patients (after stroke and traumatic brain injury). The main objective of this bachelor's thesis is searching for tests, which in practice investigate handgrip and manipulation of objects. The next aim was to choose and test one of the found handgrip tests. This thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part presents the basic information about the stroke and traumatic brain injury. The thesis deals in more detail especially with the hand as a very important part of human body that enable people to handgrip and manipulate with objects. It also describes different types of grip, phase grip and offers a scale of tests for handgrip examination. Tests are divided according to score - time, point and different indication. The practical part presents the description of the testing neurological patients with Frenchay arm test that was chosen for practical testing. This test was performed on the sample of ten neurological patients of the Department of Neurology in Prague. From the obtained results of the practical assessments the conclusion has been drawn - results confirm the suitability of using this selected handgrip test for occupational therapist in Czech Republic. Marketing analysis of chosen accommodation facility

The topic of the thesis is the issue of application of marketing principles in the hotel industry. Its aim is to analyze current situation of the internal and external environment in the chosen hotel and its market position in competitive enviroment, in order to improve provided services in the future. The theoretical part of the thesis covered in the first two chapters, monitors the accommodation industry in conditions of Czech Republic and explains the importance of marketing elements in this sector. The third part is the analysis of the selected accommodation facility, Hotel U Raušů in Velká Bíteš. The results of the analysis and recommendations for future development with direct practical application are explained in the final part of the thesis.

Modular absorption cycle

The thesis is focused on the cooling cycles, namely cycles of absorption. The work is divided into several parts, as problems to be solved. The first part deals with the principles and using refrigeration cycles in practice, their involvement and by comparing the working pairs of substances circulating in the absorption unit. The practical part deals with making a proposal for one-and two-level modular absorption cycle of 6 kW, and the subsequent techno-economic comparison with commonly supplied absorption unit

Proposal for the Use of Modern Forms of Public Relations for Tourist Destination

The aim of this thesis is to propose appropriate forms of Public Relations for chosen tourist destination in the region Jindřichohradecko. The theoretical part deals with the issue of tourism, Public Relations and the use of public relations in tourism. The findings contained in the theoretical part are serve as a basis for methodical and practical part. Analyses of the selected tourist destination are performed based on the methodical part. The outcome is a proposal of PR portfolio focusing on the modern forms of communication which would be also applicable in chosen tourist destination.

Recruitment, adaptation and education employees of the public adminstration

The thesis is focused on personal activities in local government units. First, the thesis outlines the theoretical foundations of public administration in the context of its reforms. Then there is described the theoretical basis of personal activities. The aim is through analytical methods to evaluate the recruitment, adaptation and education of employees in local government units. The theoretical part is followed by empirical research that is concerned with the level and the quality of the personnel activities in practice. From empirical research are drawn recommendations to improve the current state of human resource management in local government units.
