Mapping Coping Strategies among Students with Various Academic Achievement

Zvládání zátěže patří do života každého z nás. Každý z nás se dostává do situací, které na nás kladou zvýšené nároky. V takových situacích je člověk nucen vyvinout určité úsilí k řešení dané situace. To, jaké strategie volíme, o nás do jisté míry něco vypovídá. Stále častěji se dostáváme do zátěžových situací jak v práci, tak i v sociálním kontaktu. Tato vzrůstající tendence se odráží ve výzkumné činnosti zabývající se zvládáním zátěže. Studium zvládání zátěže se zajímá o styly, které volíme při čelení stresu, ale i o podmínky a okolnosti, které nám pomohou odolat silné zátěži. V současnosti se klade důraz nejen na okolnosti stresu a stav organismu při stresu, ale na osobní aspekty, odolnost a vnější oporu, která dokáže zmírnit či zpomalit škodlivý vliv stresu na organismus.

Legal and ethical perspective on medical care of terminally ill patients

The problem of termination or nezahajování therapy in terminally ill patients, as well as the terms of euthanasia, assisted suicide but homicide or murder, we in modern medicine interfere more and more. It has to do with the development ofnatural medicine, especially in technical areas, where doctors can fight for their livesor delayed death in cases that before ten or fifteen years ago inevitably ended in death. In the Czech Republic, but a similar situation found in other post-communist countries, we are due to historical developments in the field of patients in communication between patients and doctors and in medical ethics somewhat behind in comparison with Western Europe and the United States. On the following pages I will try to bring attitude to euthanasia in some European countries and then focus on specific Czech legal environment and its relation to termination of patient care. I'll be very happy if my work will contribute at least in my circle peers to clarify concepts and lead to a wider debate on the care ofseriously ill patients.

The first chapter describes the franchising in general, it analyses its basic definitions, history, current situation and future development. The second chapter informs about franchising as a method of entering the market. It deals with advantages and disadvantages, the process of establishing a company and possible ways of financing. Last chapter is related to franchising in practice shown in a particular example of the company Stavoodbyt.

Denmark and its cultural and business specifics

The thesis provides an insight into Danish culture and society. First chapter is dealing with the general characteristics of Denmark and its economic situation. Furthermore, it includes brief history. Following chapter introduces Danish culture and the values of the society. The cultural standards are divided into cultural dimensions, introduced by Hofstede, and compared to the Czech cultural standards. Danish business culture as well as business negotiation style is subject to third chapter. The chapter also provides information about consumer behaviour in Denmark. The last chapter introduces the results of a survey made.

Current issues in didactics of psychology

Didaktice psychologie zatím není věnována velká péče. Tato rigorózní práce je možným příspěvkem do dané problematiky. Navazuje na diplomovou práci "Aktuální otázky didaktiky psychologie na středních školách" obhájenou v roce 2004, rozvíjí ji a rozšiřuje jak v části teoretické, tak praktické; zcela nová je část aplikovaná. Část ,-:eoreticko - praktická východiska tvoří nejduležitější aspekty výuky psychologie. V souladu se záměry práce jsme se snažili podchytit a zmapovat nejvýznamnější témata didaktiky odrážející se v pedagogickém procesu. Jedná se především o obecnou charakteristiku předmětu psychologie na ruzných typech škol, faktory ovlivňující výuku, metody a formy výuky, motivace, osobnost učitele, hodnocení či materiálnědidaktické prostředky. Snažili jsme se uchopit nejzákladnější teoretická témata mající dle našeho názoru největší vliv na kvalitu výuky předmětu. Chápeme, že problematika je jistě ještě obsáhlejší, ale domníváme se, že jsme vhodně vybrali nejpodstatnější aspekty. Empirická sonda má za cíl zmapovat situaci výuky psychologie na vybraných školách pomocí dotazníkové metody a rozhovoru a vyvodit z výsledku závěry, které by mohly posloužit k optimalizaci výuky psychologie.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Radiation from Slot Antennas

Jednoduché dvojrozměrné anténní zářiče, které slouží jako stavební bloky anténních polí, jsou analyticky analyzovány v časové oblasti. Jako hlavní nástroj pro analýzu je použita Cagniard-DeHoopova metoda. Je ukázáno, že zvolený přístup umožňuje získat přesné vzorce v časové oblasti v uzavřeném tvaru, které jasně demonstrují vliv vstupních parametrů a objasňují fyzikální podstatu pulsního elektromagnetického vyzařování. Dané numerické výsledky ilustrují důležité aspekty pulsního elektromagnetického záření v rozličných konfiguracích problémů. Získané výsledky jsou užitečné pro efektivní návrh anténních polí, které jsou buzeny pulsními signály.

Problematické aspekty ichntaxonomie: tafosérie, "fotosérie" a "grafosérie"

The probability of misidentification of trace fossils is extremely high if the authors did not see the original material but used only published photographs. Clearly, it is impracticable to visit all the collections containing the revised material and impossible to visit all type localities, but further caution against the use of photos or drawings must be done here. Photographed material can result in the effect named here “photoseries”: just the method of illumination of the object can make it classifiable as two different ichnotaxa. Diffuse light enables an annulate tunnel to be featured as Rhabdoglyphus, but raking light depicts instead “invaginated segments” of Fustiglyphus of idealized drawings is obviously even more problematic, as shown by nice “graphoseries” if we consider the original specimen, the method of its preparation, and the published figure.

Metaphors of contact

The metaphor is shown as a mediator involved in autobiographical interview. Metaphor as a figure of speech helps us to express our experiences and opinions. This study is based on interviews collected within a research project, called "An investigation in the Czech Society of the "Normalization" Era: Biographic Narrations of Workers and Intelligentsia." They presented contact metaphors: 1) metaphors of separation/isolation (hole, concentration camp, closed water level) and 2) metaphors of bonding/tie (root, manacle, bond).

The Effect of Pshysiotherapy for Urinary Incontinence in Pregnancy and Especially after Childbirth

Title: The effects of physiotherapy for urinary incontinence in pregnancy and especially after childbirth Abstract: The topic of my bachelor thesis is the complexity of the effects of physiotherapy for urinary incontinence in pregnancy and especially after childbirth. The thesis includes qualitative research. In the theoretical part, the anatomy of the female pelvis, incontinence problems and examination overview, the course of pregnancy and childbirth with possible negative consequences on the pelvic floor are described. Additionally the paper describes the mechanism of developing stress urinary incontinence in women and theoretically demonstrates physiotherapy for the stress incontinence. The practical part contains physiotherapeutic methodology with introduced exercise examples, which impact pelvic area. Furthermore a group of exercises suitable for women during pregnancy and after childbirth orientated on the incontinence prevention is shown. The thesis includes two casuistics, kinesiological analysis, physiotherapy description, short and long term plan and exercise results.
