Position Analysis of the Health Insurance Companies in the Health Service System in CR
Přikrylová, Jana ; Písař, Pavel (advisor) ; Czesaný, Slavoj (referee)
The object of the Bachelor's work is to analyze the present position of the health insurance companies in the health system of the Czech Republic. First of all I characterize the particular health service systems existing in the world in my work. Further I am concerned with the health service system in this country, with its development, financing and, especially, with the role of the health insurance companies in this system. A special attention is devoted by me to the health insurance which is the main income of the health insurance companies; and to its redistribution. I analyze problems of the public health insurance system as well as of the health insurance companies. In a further part I deal with the health insurance system in U.S.A. where the health insurance is voluntary and therefore it is set up on a commercial base, whereas the public general health insurance in CR is compulsory. I compare advantages and disadvantages of the health service systems in CR and U.S.A. and on base of this analysis I will prove that the Czech medical service is instable economically; that it comes to wasting as the patient has no choice to choose the care according to the quality and price; it comes to reduction of the availability of medical services; the patients have no possibility of paying extra money for a service of higher quality even if they have enough money for that. At the end on the basis of the analysis of functioning of both these systems I indicate which way the reform of the medical service in this country could proceed.

Probabilistic analysis of reinforced concrete bridge made of I-73 girders
Nezval, Michal ; Šomodíková, Martina (referee) ; Lehký, David (advisor)
Many older bridges on the highways and roads in the Czech republic and all arend the world have been designed by codes, which are distinct of currently valid codes. Considering current codes, it is possible to set load bearing capacity in few different ways. In presented diploma thesis nonlinear finite element analysis using deterministic methods is compared with fully probabilistic nonlinear finite element analysis. Girder I-73 is analysed. Also the influence of degradation processes and following corrosion of reinforcement is taken into account, when load capacity is predicted for residual service life.

ELECTRE methods: theory and applications
Pieter, Michal ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Fiala, Petr (referee)
Multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is a field of decision theory concerned with analyzing discrete sets of variables evaluated by multiple criteria. Facilitating decisions in such situations are several methods, among them a family known as ELECTRE. Using threshold values and the concept of outranking, they allow for improved modeling of the uncertain nature of real systems. This thesis sets out to describe all of the basic ELECTRE methods, as well as several of their modifications and further extensions and aims to do so with a sufficient level of detail and using precise mathematical language. It also presents key applications of said methods and reviews their implementation in software. Lastly, it introduces a brand new software, ELIA, developed as a part of the thesis. It allows users to solve practical problems using four of the basic ELECTRE methods.

Empirical verification of short-run aggregate supply based on Lucas model and new Keynesian theory
Marošová, Ivana ; Potužák, Pavel (advisor) ; Janíčko, Martin (referee)
The aim of the master thesis is to empirically analyze if there is a support for new classics or new Keynesians as a dominant theory of short-run aggregate supply curve. The analysis is based on dynamic panel data model for 38 countries and period between 1970 and 2014. Because the results show some evidence on negative significance of level of inflation in contrast with its variability, I conclude that there is support for the new Keynesian theory. I focus on examination of the panel data assumptions such as the stationarity of explanatory variables, existence of the individual or random effects, validity of homogeneity of slope coefficients and mainly the cross-sectional dependence of error terms. After testing for these assumptions, I choose the most suitable method of estimation for dynamic panel data models. I use these methods for analyzing both linear and non-linear specification of the given model. As a result, we can see that the selection of right estimation method plays a great role in final outcomes. I also check model robustness by including changes of real oil price as a proxy variable for the supply shock in the economy.

Interval Representations of Boolean Functions
Kronus, David ; Čepek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Sgall, Jiří (referee) ; Savický, Petr (referee)
This thesis is dedicated to a research concerning representations of Boolean functions. We present the concept of a representation using intervals of integers. Boolean function f is represented by set I of intervals, if it is true just on those input vectors, which correspond to integers belonging to intervals in I, where the correspondence between vectors and integers depends on the ordering of bits determining their significancies. We define the classes of k-interval functions, which can be represented by at most k intervals with respect to a suitable ordering of variables, and we provide a full description of inclusion relations among the classes of threshold, 2-monotonic and k-interval Boolean functions (for various values of k). The possibility to recognize in polynomial time, whether a given function belongs to a specified class of Boolean functions, is another fundamental and practically important property of any class of functions. Our results concerning interval functions recognition include a proof of co-NP- hardness of the general problem and polynomial-time algorithms for several restricted variants, such as recognition of 1-interval and 2-interval positive functions. We also present an algorithm recognizing general 1-interval functions provided that their DNF representation satisfies several...

Influence of sorbents on retention curve of contaminated fluvisol
Hnatajková, Eva ; Jačka, Lukáš (advisor) ; Pavlásek, Jiří (referee)
The thesis deals with the influence of sorbents on the retention curve of the contaminated alluvial soil (fluvisol). The retention curves of soil without sorbents (reference soil) are compared with the soils enriched by the following sorbents. Biochar (BC), amorphous manganese oxide (AMO) and combination of (AMO + BC). Soils sample were collected is specific uncultivated area in the valley of Litavka river (located in the central part of the Czech republic). Two different types of samples were used for measurement of retention curves. First type of the samples were collected from the column experiments and second type were the samples collected in the field. All samples were extracted using in Kopecky rings (100 cm3). The measurement of the retention curves was performed by a direct method in the laboratory. For laboratory determination of the retention curves classical set of instruments were used (sandbox, sand-kaolin box and pressure apparatuses). The measured data were fitted using van Genuchten. Values compared are the bulk density, parameters of van Genuchten model (Thétas, ThétaR, Alfa, n), and values pF (0; 1.0; 2.0; 2.7; 3.0; 3.7; 4.18). The comparison of retention curves of differently treated soil was based on the average, standard deviation and the difference and ratio of the avarages. According to presented findings sorbents affected shapes of the retention curves. Especially biochar influence water content for high pF values. We confirmed the hypothesis according to VERHEIJEN et al. (2010), that biochar tincrase the total retention of soil water, but does not increase the amoust of water avaible plants. The influence of AMO on retention curve was negligible. Therefore sorbent AMO has a small influence on change of water retention in the tested soil. The effect of combined sorbent (AMO + BC) on the retention more significant than effect of using AMO sorbent only. This combination of sorbents affects the water retention depending on applied pF.

Robust Regularized Discriminant Analysis Based on Implicit Weighting
Kalina, Jan ; Hlinka, Jaroslav
In bioinformatics, regularized linear discriminant analysis is commonly used as a tool for supervised classification problems tailormade for high-dimensional data with the number of variables exceeding the number of observations. However, its various available versions are too vulnerable to the presence of outlying measurements in the data. In this paper, we exploit principles of robust statistics to propose new versions of regularized linear discriminant analysis suitable for highdimensional data contaminated by (more or less) severe outliers. The work exploits a regularized version of the minimum weighted covariance determinant estimator, which is one of highly robust estimators of multivariate location and scatter. The performance of the novel classification methods is illustrated on real data sets with a detailed analysis of data from brain activity research.

Ščuková, Diana ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Vokáč, Matěj (referee)
The master thesis deals with the possibilities of international expansion in case of the Czech company Logio s.r.o that sells consulting services on B2B market. The main objective is to choose a suitable international market for expansion of the company. Futhermore, market analysis and determination of method of market entering are additional objectives of the thesis. The first part deals with the characteristics of the process, which companies should follow during selection of international market, and various forms of entrance. Then, gained findings are used in process of selecting the most suitable international market for expansion of company Logio s.r.o. Selected market is analysed by using Porter model of 5 forces and PESTEL analysis. The variants of international expansion are specified and compared in the end of the thesis and the most suitable method of market entering is chosen with regard to specifics of the company itself.
