Občanské fórum in Slaný

The object of this study is the creation, activity and termination of Občanské fórum (OF) in the central Bohemia city Slaný. The OF in Slaný was established after the general strike on 27th November 1989 at home of one of the founders. Other OF were created spontaneously in the workplace and in schools and gradually merged into the urban OF. In the early days the dialogue was the priority, members of OF Slaný called for discussion by their deputies in the local national committee. The main objective is to clarify the activities of OF and its influence on events in Slaný in November and the days following. Many different people with different interests, motivations and desires came and left the OF. And it influenced his future direction and impact on the political scene in Slaný. Without the establishment of the OF it would be more difficult to put pressure on city officials to allow access to the administration for the non-communist parties. The parties and movements have been isolated. The OF was able to unify the parties and joint efforts have produced results. The issue of an offender's personality in criminology

Over the course of its development, in addressing its fundamental problems and conducting its own researches, criminology has compiled, classified, analysed and discussed a large quantity of data on offenders from the various perspectives of its schools and trends. Despite the fact that it has not created an integrated conception of the personality of the offender or a universally recognised classification or typology of offenders, with regard to the majority of existing problems it has been and continues to be able to provide very valuable insights and to offer possible solutions to several problems, including responses to the fundamental questions raised in the introduction to my thesis. In my diploma thesis I have attempted to provide at least a basic outline of the most important aspects of the theory of the personality of the offender in criminology. It is practically impossible to provide an all-embracing overview of criminological theories and conceptions, and as a result I have rather attempted to summarise and classify the knowledge of the personality of the offender gained to date and presented brief characteristics of the most significant conceptions of the various schools of criminological thought. Comparison of relationships beetwen founders and headmasters of primary schools in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

The objective of the thesis is an analysis, description and subsequent comparison of different aspects in relationships between the founders and the headmasters of primary schools, and subsequently a presentation of possible differences and similarities in these relationships in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia, in both legal and non-legal framework; and a description of the real situation of these relationships more than 20 years after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. The starting point for the research are relevant legal regulations, such as acts of parliament, delegated legislation and specific legal and other documents concerning founders of private and denominational schools. The Czech and Slovak educational systems had the same development since the foundation of Czechoslovakia in 1918. After the dissolution of Czechoslovak federation the development and changes in Czech and Slovak educational systems had a different, separate development. The relationship between the school founder and its headmaster has significant influence on the school activities and direction. The thesis describes similarities and differences in these relationships in both countries and points out possibilities for mutual inspirations.

Design and development of thin client for infrastructure cloud based on Android platform

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the development of mobile thin client application which is able to manage commercial infrastructure cloud service. The introduction section provides an overview of the necessary terminology and presents the problem domain that is a subject of this thesis. Besides the project itself, of which result is the main output of this work, is also the part dedicated to research of current theses, school information resources, guidelines, recommendations and methodologies that covers topics of design and implementation of graphical user interfaces for mobile devices, especially for those that have the Android operating system installed. Information obtained on basis of the research is after used as a default knowledge base for design and implementation of the presentation layer of the previously mentioned application. The next aim of this thesis is to make analysis of requirements for new application which is being developed. The requirements are then transformed into conceptual design, to which is bound the explanation of implementation of individual application layers. UML was mainly used for the modeling of the application parts design in environment of the Sybase PowerDesigner. The programming process was performed by usage of the development environment called Eclipse SDK. Benefit of this diploma thesis lies in the possibility of reusing its concentrated knowledge resulting from the research dealing with the problems of creating GUI for mobile devices. Programmer, who is untouched in this specialization, will be able to use this part of the thesis as a critical study material which has been verified in practice. Cloud infrastructure solution providers can find there an inspiration for their own mobile thin client application.

The Project of Income and Expense Amendment at a Contributory Organization

This dissertation is aimed at the income and expense amendment at a contributory organization in Hradec Králové region.
In the theoretical part there are basic facts about contributory organizations, the founder, the foundation document, the dividing into main and by work or their budget. Following by the characterization of the incomes and selected expenses which can be often found
in a contributory organization accountancy. The last part brings a closer view
of conducting of accountancy in the selected accounting units including accounting documentary evidence and financial analysis. The last chapter shows theoretical possibilities of income and expense amendment at a contributory organization.
At the beginning of the working part there is shown the certain contributory organization Gymnázium Broumov (grammar school Broumov) following by the detailed analysis of its profits and selected costs. This part also describes the economization of the school individual funds and then the way of conducting of accountancy in this contributory organization. Other chapters of this dissertation pay attention to the financial analysis
of economization and factual project of income and expense amendment at the grammar school.
In the chapter 4.7 you can find the possibilities of the incomes increase. It is conected with the taking advantage of appropriation projects given by the organizer, the Ministry of Education or the EU, the closure of new agreements for lease of school not flat space or establishing of complementary educational activities. The expenses can be amended by lowering the power consumption thanks to the project EPC or using central purchase of power and some services within the framework of the HK region. The saving can be reached by correct utilization of substitute quota with the purchase of products and services or by optimum drawing of wage means.
The conclusion contains the evaluation of the amendment results. Thanks to the amendment the incomes are risen up to 750,000 Czech crowns more than 80% of it are the incomes from appropriation projects. It brings to school better study conditions for students, possibilities of further education for teachers or getting new teaching aids. The incomes from the lease of school not flat space have to be, according to the foundation document, used for repairs and maintenance of the school building at the same calendar year. The establishing of complementary educational activities is more both administratively and organizationaly demanding than possibilities of income amendment so it might be set up in Sept.2017. The Grammar School Broumov can get up to 300,000 Czech crowns a year thanks to the expense amendment. The saving made by lowering total power, service and material expenses can be used without any restrictions for example for purchase of new modern technology, interactive boards or for school environment innovation. The grammar school management can use the saving made by optimum drawing of wage means as a motivation for the teachers via bonuses or personal extra pays.

Standard of a school headmaster as a means of life-long education and the evaluation of school headmasters by their founders

The aim of the thesis is to determine the level of respondents'opinions for the needs of introducing the headmaster`s profession and its influence on the quality of the school management with a potential impact on the overall level of education in the Czech Republic. The thesis also submits analyses of levels of knowledge in certain areas of management competences and assesses their importance for management work of the headmaster as basis for setting standards and headmaster` s career. The first part of the thesis include theoretical knowledge of school management. It introduces the preparation and filling of school managerial staff. It also introduces the creation of a competency model as a tool for selection, evaluation and further development of training school headmasters. Luxury economics - comparative analysis of conspicuous consumption among TBU, UEP and CTU students

This thesis focuses on the comparison of conspicuous consumption and purchase of counterfeit goods in different socioeconomic environments. For comparison, I analyzed results of the researches by Bc. Tomáš Štegmann and Bc. Jan Vágner, who deal with this issue at University of Economics in Prague (UEP) and Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU). Then I compared it with results of my survey made at Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU). I was able to confirm the assumption of less knowledge and worse awareness of luxury goods among students in Zlín. In the case of students of TBU low income does not play a significant role in the acquisition of a counterfeit in the future, unlike UEP and CTU. Conversely, significant factors at TBU are negative impression of an individual with counterfeit, purchase of a counterfeit in the past and recognition of fake. Negative impression of an individual with a counterfeit is consistent with findings at UEP and CTU. Purchase of a counterfeit in the past does not have significant effect on the future buy of counterfeit at both schools in Prague and effect of recognition of fake is at TBU similar to CTU. Compared to UEP, the effect has opposite direction. At TBU more students have already bought fake and also they avoid buying counterfeits in the future less than the students of UEP and CTU. Perception of counterfeiting as a crime is comparable at all schools -- it's not a serious crime.

The financing of the non-profit-making organization

One of the important types of organization establishing to ensure the activities in public interest are the organization supported by state finance, that wouldn´t be able to manage without the main source of finances provided by their founder. That type of non-profit making organization is what I have focused on in my graduation theses. I was evaluating the financing of the organization supported by state finance Správa a údržba silnic Jihočeského kraje. I closely put mind to the analysis of the organization´s earnings, what way were they used and if the organization excercised them in its main operation.

Specific features of nursing care provided to members of the Church of Scientology.

The Church of Scientology was officially registered in Los Angeles in 1954. It is present in more than 150 countries of the world, and is professed by over 8 million people. The founder of the movement is the American author of science fiction and fiction, Laffayete Ron Hubbard, who conducted research in the sphere of the human spirit, summarised in his books "Dianetics". Later on, he focused his research on spiritual beings and their abilities. This gave rise to an applicable religious philosophy - Scientology. It has not been possible to register the Church of Scientology officially in the Czech Republic so far, and therefore it acts as the civil association of "Dianetické centrum" (the Dianetic Centre). The number of its members and sympathisers in this country is not very high, reaching approximately 800 persons. Still, it is important for us to know the differences of this minority, to be able to provide its members with nursing care corresponding to their specific needs. This subject is dealt with by the multi-cultural nursing care studying cultures and religions from the point of view of nursing practice. In connection with globalisation, this subject becomes even more topical. The national, cultural and ethnic structure of the population undergoes gradual changes and the number of foreigners legally residing in the territory of the Czech Republic keeps growing. For this reason, it is important even for nurses to be prepared and have at least the minimum knowledge of multi-cultural / trans-cultural nursing care that will enable them to provide adequate nursing care respecting the specifics in question. The objective of my thesis is to get to know the specific features of nursing care provided to members of the Church of Scientology and to establish the specific features of their life style. To meet the objectives, I set five research questions. Research question 1: Do members of the Church of Scientology have specific needs when they are being provided nursing care? Research question 2: What is the attitude of members of the Church of Scientology to the health care provided in the Czech Republic? Research question 3: Do members of the Church of Scientology have specific spiritual needs? Research question 4: What attitude do members of the Church of Scientology have towards their health? Research question 5: Do members of the Church of Scientology have a specific life style? To collect data for fulfilling my research objectives and obtaining answers to the research questions, I applied the method of qualitative research. To conduct the qualitative research I used the technique of a semi-structured interview with the members of the Church of Scientology attending the Dianetic Centre in Prague. The interview contained altogether 46 questions divided into four areas, and the participants were four men and four women of different ages and different lengths of being members of the Church. The qualitative examination established the main and most distinct specific feature in providing nursing care to members of the Church of Scientology, which is maintaining silence at the time when human mind is weakened. Further, the research showed that scientologists respect physicians and do not exclude them in cases of accidents or danger of life. They normally undergo preventive examinations and do not object to being vaccinated provided that they are supplied with sufficient information. The only exception is psychiatry. Being provided with assists constitutes the only spiritual need, and the Church of Scientology has no specifics in terms of diet. This thesis may be used as a study material for general nurses and students of nursing studies, to expand knowledge in the field of multi-cultural / trans-cultural nursing care, which will facilitate providing culture-specific nursing care to members of this religious minority.

Valuation of Allowance Organization – the Municipal Library of Prague

This master's thesis focuses on the valuation of the Municipal Library in Prague, the cultural institution allowances organization. Its aim is to estimate the value up for the date of 31th October 2013 for the purpose of its founder, Prague - the capital city, and to compare the measured value with the level of annual non-capital contribution for the Municipal Library from its founder. The valuation was performed by using the contingent valuation method, which is based on random sample of the questionnaire survey respondents who express their preferences. They are gradually guided to be able to provide the maximum price that they would be willing to pay for use of services and to be able to work out what financial compensation they would be willing to accept for the decrease in their quality life. The starting point of this thesis is to determine the prognosis of the number of registered readers, borrowings, economy of the Municipal Library, its market position and other requisites. This thesis is one of the few which contains valuation in the cultural sector in the Czech Republic.
