Usage of emoticons and emojis in the Internet practice
Davidová, Jitka ; Vondra, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Horný, Stanislav (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Usage of emoticons and emojis in the Internet practice" aims to clarify a boom which is currently happening around these nonverbal means of electronic communication. This study tries to reveal the causes of this modern trend and to specify the possibilities of its usage from the media point of view. Emoticon is not introduced just as a sign, but also as a functional mean of intermediality. The subject of study is firstly set into a broader theoretical framework, where a reader learns about the basic terms and approaches of nonverbal communication. Afterwards, the historical development of Unicode is described, which strongly changed the emoticon itself. In a practical part gained knowledge is exercised in interpretation research. Survey is described in more detail and complemented by the current opinions of the experts, who demonstrate its intermediality. The character is introduced generally according to forms of its usage and specifically in the context of social media as mean of communication. The main contribution of this work is clarification of historical development of current emoticons and highlighting their huge range of interpretation possibilities.

Vision and reality in solving longterm unemployment (Focus on municipal territory of Prague 9, 14 and 20)

Enterprise Architecture as a Service
Gála, Libor ; Jandoš, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Zuzák, František (referee) ; Havlíček, Zdeněk (referee)
Although architectural services have been for a long time a common part of civil engineering, they are very rarely mentioned in theory and practice of enterprise architecture. Author of this thesis deals with formulation of the model of enterprise architecture as a service and its solution. The model is defined by a set of constructs and assumptions, which take into account current knowledge in the fields of enterprise architecture and services. In model solution a set of architectural services, which provide Enterprise Architecture agile and flexibly, is identified and defined. Validity of the model and of its solution is practically verified in two real-world cases: in a shared services center and in an external service provider.

Methanol intoxication
PÍCHA, Pavel
This bachelor thesis deals with the theme of methanol intoxication. This issue has been known by people for years. However, it came into the consciousness of people and medias at 2012, thanks to the infamous methanol affair. Methanol is extremely dangerous to people, especially because of its properties and its toxicity. Toxic metabolites are mainly: formic acid and formaldehyde. A man is almost unable to recognize the difference between methanol and ethanol- which is a part of many popular alcoholic beverages. During the methanol intoxication, particularly the basal ganglia and optic nerve are affected. Clinical symptoms of methanol intoxication are ebrieta, gastrointestinal problems such as: abdominal pain and diarrhea. Furthermore: visual disturbances, quantitative disturbance of consciousness, convulsions and acidosis. The severity of poisoning depends mainly on the amount of methanol consumed. Minimal toxic dose is 0.1mg per a kilogram of a body weight. The most efficient way, when providing the first aid, is to provide the patient with some ethanol. The most important steps for hospital treatment include administering antidotes of ethanol or fomepizole and hemodialysis. The aim of the study was to explore the knowledge of paramedics about taking care of a patient who is suspected with methanol poisoning. Qualitative research was conducted through interviews with medical rescuers of the South Bohemian Emergency Medical service. The research sample was given to 10 respondents of different gender, age and length of service. Respondents research group was chosen at random. Respondents were laid a total of 18 questions, which should determine whether paramedics have enough information about the intoxication and ways of how to take care about a patient suspected with methanol intoxication. The results are presented in a box, for better clarity. It showed, during interviews, that only a small part of the respondents have an experience with methanol intoxication. Furthermore, it appeared that the respondents have basic knowledge about methanol intoxication and they should be able to provide the patient, suspected to have intoxication with methanol, with proper first aid and take care of him without hesitation, especially in prehospital emergency care. Further details concerning the research are presented in the discussion. The objective was achieved. We managed, to reply positively on the question: Do paramedics have enough of new knowledge when taking care of patients being suspected with methanol poisoning. Paramedics, employees of the South Bohemian Medical Service have enough knowledge about taking care of a patient, intoxicated by methanol. On the other hand, the rescuers were missing the knowledge about the precise toxic doses of methanol and precise dosage of ethanol as an antidote. Most paramedics also did not know the subsequent exact procedure of hospital treatment, and new types of antidotes. The auxiliary leaflet about metanol intoxication was created on the basis of explored results of practical part of this bachelor thesis to help paramedics. Intoxication with methanol is not so frequent, but it is very dangerous and it is very difficult to diagnose it on the spot. When occured, it is important to know the first aid and the way of how to take care of a patient suspected to be intoxicated with methanol. People should learn from the cases described in the media and also they should stop buying alcoholic products from unknown manufacturers. It would be the prevention of further disaster. We only have one health.

Measurement of Economic Effectiveness of IS/ICT
Čelikovský, Filip ; Maryška, Miloš (advisor) ; Faina, Michal (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to measure the economic effectiveness of the specific real IS/ICT based on real data, which were provide by the owner of the system. Next goal is to describe how to measure economic effectiveness of IS/ICT, especially based on costs and effects analysis. Complex information about economic effectiveness of IS/ICT issue and also costs and effects analysis of enterprise informatics are made up of knowledge gained by studying professional publications aimed to this and relative topics. Necessary data to measure the economic effectiveness of the chosen IS/ICT was gained by its owner. To reach the main goal, author chose a few commonly used financial indicators and proposed two other metrics. Based on calculations of these indicators and metrics, author estimated that the rated system is economically effective. Author forwarded the results of measurement to the owner of rated system, along with the comment of author. The contribution of this thesis is that shows the universal procedure of economic effectiveness measurement of IS/ITC in clear and complex structure. The thesis can be divided into two logical parts -- the theoretical one and practical one. In the theoretical part, author describes in standalone chapter possibilities in dividing of costs and its identification, severity of this act and also possible ways of the cost evidence. The next chapter speaks about effects of IS/ICT, where author also mention possibilities in dividing of effects, ways of their identification and measurement. This capture also put the accent especially on the hardness of their assignment. The last theoretical chapter imaginarily joins the antecedent chapters because describes a few financial indicators and metrics, suitable for measurement of economic effectiveness of IC/ICT. In that case, this capture speaks about usage data about costs and effects in measurement of economic effectiveness. One whole chapter is devoted to practical part of this thesis, in which author used all defined indicators and metrics from theoretical part and measured the economic effectiveness based on real data. Thus, author used the knowledge from theoretical part in the practical one. The part of measurement is also a discussion of the results.

Possibilities of the music objects operations
Svoboda, Tomáš ; Hons, Miloš (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
This thesis deals, first of all, with the different ways of dividing music space (Chapters I-III). It can be divided into two dimensions ? sound dimension and time dimension. The structure of each dimension can be further divided. In this way, within each dimension will be created various (sound and time) objects, decided either by the concrete structure, or, if the structure cannot be assigned, by an outline describing the shape of the object. Only by combining objects from both dimensions, will types of music objects be created. Those which have no inner order will be called a group. By permutation of the elements of this group, different, precisely organised shapes will be created. Such objects will be called segments (Chapter IV.). Chapter V. is dedicated to the music objects? operations. All operations are either partial (progressing in the frame of one dimension), or total (simultaneously progressing in both dimensions). Such operations are: transposition, multiplication, inversion, turn, etc. This knowledge is to be used in the universal method of contemporary music analysis. In this way, the type of the music object and its changes caused by the ?operations? can be defined. As result, it will be possible to assess the structure of the composition as a whole. The information can also be used in the opposite way: as a compositional progression, consisting of creating objects and using them in ?operations?.

Regulatory options for the market of designer drugs
Turek, Tomáš ; Běláčková, Vendula (advisor) ; Chytilová, Helena (referee)
This paper describes an analyses the market of "legal" drugs, so called designer drugs, which emerged in Czech republic by the end of 2010, in other European countries about a year earlier. It applies known theoretical arguments concerning state regulation of drug markets to the market of new drugs and uses them to compare different possible policies. Theoretical findings and microeconomic concepts are then confronted with the reality of the market of new drugs, including valuable data collected in own street survey and by monitoring now defunct internet phora of drug users. It is concluded that repressive attitude towards regulation of new drugs is sustainable only for the price of high societal cost and significant restriction of civil rights. Reducing the demand for drugs seems to be the only viable means of reducing their consumption in an open market economy with liberal democratic system.

Empirickou část jsme věnovali projektu adaptace lexikální části dotazníku CDI do českého jazyka. Sledovali jsme růst a vývoj...
