Elements of communication for increasing customers' loyalty

The diploma thesis deals with elements of communication in order to increase customer loyalty. The aim of the thesis is to suggest changes in communication with customers and the use of elements of communication to increase customer loyalty to a selected store. The selected store is Jednota Kaplice cooperative. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the terms such as loyal customer, marketing communication as sales promotion, communication The second part of the diploma thesis is practical and includes a questionnaire survey. Data was collected through a questionnaire with 251 respondents. The respondents were disaggregated by age, gender, education, number of people in the household, and social-economic situation. The results of the survey showed, for example, that most of the customers buy groceries in stores three times a week. Most of the customers also participate in loyalty programs and use loyalty cards with benefits. If customers don't use a loyalty card, it is because the benefits are not interesting for them. The last part of the diploma thesis proposes recommendations for improvement. One of the proposals is to develop a mobile application for customers of Jednota Kaplice cooperative.

Analysis of pesticides in the environment using the QuEChERS method

This thesis focuses on pesticides in the environment, more specifically in cereals. Pesticides were monitored in various samples of cereals (barley, rye, oats, and wheat) within the thesis. The monitored substances were isolated in selected samples and concentrated using the QUECHERS method. Gas and liquid chromatography were used to determine pesticides. The theoretical part consists of the common types of pesticides, divided by the ease with which these substances into food and their impact on humans and environment. It also mentions current health protection legislation and environmental legislation.
The Food Conservation in Roman Italy

This document deals with problems of food preservation in the ancient world focusing on Roman Italy. Attention is concentrated on individual conservation practices, covering the techniques of storage and direct preservative interventions, which include dehydration, salting, sweetening, pickling, smoking or making of diary products. The work is mainly based on the study of contemporary literary works particularly Latin agricultural handbooks dating from the 2nd century BC to the 6th century AD. The information obtained is supplemented to the maximum extent by iconographic sources and archaeological evidence of individual installations and their products. The result is a comprehensive overview of preservation methods, divided into categories and subcategories based on used technology approaches characterized in the introduction to each chapter. Gleaning, trash picking, scavenging: Dumpster diving and symbolic boundaries between clean and unclean

The author deals with the phenomenon of dumpster diving. Being focused on those divers who are used to dumpster dive not being pressed to it by their financial situation, she concentrates on their definition of purity and their way of dealing with symbolic boundaries of clean and unclean. After summarising social-environmental and social scientific background of the phenomenon in context of the theoretical frame based on Mary Douglas and her book about purity and danger the author presents a qualitative analysis of participant observation and in- depth interviews with informants who dumpster dive voluntarily. Based on quantitatively and representatively tested public opinion on dumpster diving she points both the colourful composition of dumpster divers' motives and ideological believes and their reflection and norm- based boundaries categorization that is connected to food they are used to eat. In connection with informants' conception of food value the author argues that through inspiring power of the first dumpster diving experience informants' understanding and dealing with those boundaries have changed. This thesis aims to describe the selected nutritional trends with respect not only the physiological needs of man. Nutrition today is a very important aspect of our lives, and it is necessary to know the real nutrition for possibility of using alternative nutritional aspects. In particular, these findings were taken into account in the further processing of the thesis. Selected criteria contributed to the description of the selected lines of the analysis and also defined the factors influencing the selection of nutritional direction. In the practical part were compared selected dietary trends and the conclusions of these analyzes were summarized and can assist individuals in choosing the appropriate nutritional direction. The phenomenon of food aid

Anotation The diploma thesis entitled "The Phenomenon of food aid" deals with the topic of food aid, including its origins, its significance and functioning, as well as affiliates of the food bank. The diploma thesis also includes The Operational Programme of Material and Food Aid, provided for years 2014 to 2020 included. Another aspect of the thesis is an actual view over the problem of food wastage. They are measured a factors which affect the food security, and it also compares a several different institutions, dealing with the food aid. As a part of the research, there is a practical survey included. The practical part tries to primarily answer questions of food wastage. Than it searches kinds of the food groceries which are wasted most often, as well as their amount. The practical part also ascertains the willingness of the operators to provide the discarded food to a people in need. It also monitors the actual knowledge about the National Food Bank itself. A case study in the form of a short interview with a homeless person in included. The interview is thematically based on the possibility and the availability of food aid itself.
