Teaching pre-school pupils in an outdoor environment

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to design various activities for outdoor learning in preschool education. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the definition of the term Environmental Education, the objectives of environmental education, outdoor learning, then the thesis deals with the methods of outdoor learning, as well as the anchoring of environmental education in the Preschool Education Framework. The second part of the thesis includes activities that are primarily designed for the outdoor environment and aim to promote children's positive relationship with the natural environment. The individual activities are described in detail, and the necessary teaching aids are also listed. Feedback on the proposed activities has been provided based on evaluation in practice.
Being a kindergarten teacher

This bachelor's thesis focuses on male teachers in the feminized preschool educational system. The theoretical part presents the theoretical background of personality and the necessary prerequisites for teachers. In introduces the issue of feminization in the preschool educational system explores its causes, and discusses gender sensitivity in preschool education. It also delves into the need for male authority and masculinity in general, as well as the differences between approaches of male and female teachers towards children in kindergartens. The practical part employs qualitative interviews as the research method. It describes the lived experiences of male educators in preschool education, analyzing and interpreting their perspectives. It specifically investigates how male teachers perceive their position in kindergartens and how they feel accepted by society and their environment.
Child with diabetes mellitus in kindergarten

The bachelor thesis deals with type one diabetes mellitus among children enrolled in regular preschools in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the necessary documentation for the inclusion of a child with this diagnosis, as well as the legislative context of this issue. It maps not only the needs of children with this diagnosis but also the needs of caregiving teachers and their approach to the inclusion of a child with diabetes in a regular preschool. The thesis also examines the options and conditions of assigning a teacher's assistant to a child with this diagnosis. In the practical part, the thesis presents a mixed research design, where a case study examines the inclusion of a particular preschool child with diabetes and the creation of the necessary documents for the child's inclusion, and a questionnaire examines the attitudes of teaching staff towards the inclusion of a diabetic child in a regular preschool. The thesis further evaluates and discusses the results of the research, the views of the scientific community, and their perceptions of the issue.
Development of individual language levels in preschool children

The diploma thesis deals with the development of language levels in children aged 5 to 6 years. These are children before starting primary school. At this age, the stage of preschool education and the development associated with it ends. The end of this period is specific in that children are preparing for the start of compulsory schooling. By the end of the preschool period, the child should achieve certain results in the development of language levels. The goal of the practically oriented part of the diploma thesis is to analyze the development of language levels in preschool children. The work is logically divided into two parts. The first of them introduces speech development, defines the pre-school period and delimits language levels on the basis of documents from the specialist literature. These are theoretical knowledge necessary to create a comprehensive picture of the investigated issue. Furthermore, the thesis describes the most frequently occurring types of impaired communication skills typical of this period. The aim of this thesis is to propose, implement and reflect a thematic unit based on a fairy tale and focused on bullying prevention in preschool age. The theoretical part defines the term bullying, its types and possibilities of prevention with the emphasis on preschool age. It further describes the importance of fairy tales in preschool education, their types and options on how to work with a story. The practical part proposes, implements and reflects a thematic unit focused on bullying prevention and development of empathy in preschool-aged children. It uses design-based research with semi-structured observation as the main research method using an observation sheet and discussions with children and teachers. The Use of Fairy tales and the Development of Pre-literacy Through the Eyes of Parents

This Bachelor Thesis deals with the use of fairy tales and the development of pre-literacy by parents of preschool children. The thesis is dividend into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on fairy tales, their origin, characteristic features and their influence on children's development. It also focuses on pre-literacy and its developmnet in children of preschool age. In the practical part, answers to research questions will be sought in the form of questionnaire for parents of preschool children. The goal is to find out how and how often parents of preschool children use fairy tales at home. Furthermore, the goal is to determine whether parents only use fairy tales passively or actively, and to investigate whether parents are aware of the influence of literature on children's development. Then, based on the answers obtained, create methodical material - a manual with suggested activities that parents could apply to (almost) any fairy tale and which supports better use of fairy tales in a family environment. With the help of this supportive material, parents would be able to work with fairy tales better and more efficiently, and thus would specifically support the development of pre- literacy in their children. The bachelor's thesis is focused on speech therapy, it is devoted to the communication skills of children in the compulsory year of preschool education. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out whether there are differences in the area of communication skills among children in the compulsory year of preschool education depending on the length of attendance at kindergarten. The theoretical part introduces the reader to upbringing and educating a child of preschool age and compulsory preschool education, which is closely related to this area. Furthermore, topics related to communication skills are elaborated in the thesis, individual concepts from the field of communication are defined, and the development of communication skills of the child starting primary education is elaborated on. The thesis also discusses speech therapy intervention in all its areas.
