Drama in education and literary story in a nursery school - in the works of Zdeněk Svěrák

This thesis deals with the possibilities of application of Zdenek Sverak's work in a kindergarten drama education. The theoretical section summarizes the information about the life and works of Zdenek Sverak and the findings regarding the possibility of using a literary narrative in a kindergarten, while applying the methods of drama education. There follows a description of the developmental patterns of preschool children and their significance for the drama education. The practical part of the thesis uses the books of Zdenek Sverak to process and reflect upon thematic units, in which the drama education methods were used. At the conclusion of the thesis, there is an evaluation of the research observations, obtained during my implementation of the thematic units.
Masaryk's heritage in Social studies

Conception of cross-curricular subjets in natur science subjects at secondary school.

The task of contemporary education is not only to equip pupils with skills and knowledge, but to give them postures and values as well. That is one of the goals of the so-called cross-curricular subjects, which were brought by the education reformation accomplished several years ago. This area is as new for many teachers as it is for pupils and that is the reason why this master thesis was created. It provides basic information about cross-curricular subjects and supplies options for their practical implementation in the education. The theoretical section aims at the characterization of Czech and foreign cross-curricular subjects and their mutual comparison. The research section, among others, contains practical suggestions interconnecting the cross-curricular subjects with natural sciences education, and some of them have been verified in practice. Questionnaire survey follows, finding out the position of high school students towards the cross-curricular subjects and towards key-competence developing activities. Students also expressed their opinion on the practical suggestions application during education in this survey. In conclusion of the study, the observed results were evaluated and compared with the literature and author's opinions.
Educational system in France and in the Czech Republic

1 Summary In the Thesis the author engages is contemporary education which has significantly changed in the last decade. Since the system evolves ceaselessly, he only displays a certain part of its evolution. The author, who is a French Language and Literature student at the Faculty of Education of Charles University, seeks to outline contemporary French educational system on the basis of its juxtaposition with Czech system. In the first chapter he concerns the International Standard Classification of Education ISCED (the French abbreviation is CITE) as a common basis for the systems' comparison. He justifies its use and describes its purpose. He also mentions its history, structure, and uses it in the following chapters as a foundation for definition of individual educational degrees. In the subsequent chapters he focuses on particular schooling stages proceeding from nursery schools to higher secondary education. To maintain a coherent structure of the study, he describes similar criteria and aspects for each of the schooling degrees, such as structure, organisation, students' admission criteria, their certification, evaluation and the content of education. Ethic education This diploma work deals with newly implemented school subject "Ethic education" at the school system in the Czech Republic. "Ethic education" has been defined as a project, where main topic is to develop pro-social behaviour. This diploma work specifies elementary educational aims of this project and analyses its particular educational components: contain, methods, style, topics. It also deals with the process of implementation into the Czech school system, in what social context has ethic education has been developing, how it is embodied into Framework Education Programme documents and how psychology as a science looks at moral development of a human being. Author looks at the ethic education through prism of universal principles and outcomes, such as Christian ethics and natural moral law.
Using Children's Literature as a Basis for the Dramatic and Educational Process in Nursery Schools

The Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education is a legislative curriculum document which establishes the basic requirements for the state preschool education. The educational objectives and requirements are binding for the teachers. However, the way in which those objectives and requirements are met, is fully in the hands of each nursery school. This diploma thesis illustrates one of the possible ways of educating preschool children, namely the dramatic education. The dramatic education is presented here not only as an educational method but also as a style of pedagogical work. This particular style respects individuality and originality of each child with the intention of developing his/her potentials and with the effort to equip the child with necessary social skills. The practical part of the diploma thesis offers insight into the authentic dramatic and educational process which explores topics of human life. Social skills development of secondary school students in the Economics

This final thesis deals with the issue of social skills development of secondary school students in the Economics. The theoretical foundations of this work is to define the term of social skills and is explained his importance to the society. A substantial part of the theory is also devoted to the social skills in connection with the Framework educational program. Within the empirical part, an analysis of the FEP for BA is performed, through which the state of the method concentrated on the social skills of students is determined. Furthermore, through a questionnaire survey, the current state of acquired social skills of selected students from the first years on BA is investigated and their view on this issue. This work is also focusing on whether teachers in the Economics produce sufficient appropriate environment that would allow students to develop their social skills. The final goal is to suggest specific games and activities that allow students to improve these skills in the Economics.
Entrepreneurship education at secondary vocational schools

This diploma thesis is focused on an enterprise education. There are theoretical outcomes of the particular issue included in the first part of the thesis. This part deals with a basic terminology definition as well as with an explanation of the meaning of an enterprise education and subjects that deal with its development. The first part of the thesis also deals with current enterprise education projects that are being in progress not only in the Czech Republic but also all over the European Union and international organizations. The goal of the empirical part is to analyze a particular educational program and to evaluate up to which level an enterprise issue in general is included. Another aim is to get to know the students attitude towards the enterprise and to check their knowledge about the business skill. For this purpose a didactic test had been created according to an educational program. This test has proven that the business knowledge level is not satisfying. Therefore, the aim of this part is also to design a recommendation of possible modification to improve the educational process that would lead students to a bigger interest in the issue of business, to be more independent, active and creative.
The impact of curriculum reform in the area of leisure

This work deals with curricular reform and its relation to leisure education. Trying to locate the targets of education for the society model curriculum. When finding the key competencies understood as primarily a means of fulfilling the objectives of reform attempts to map these competences, in the practical part analyze the documents containing leisure facilities targets and looking how their goals coincide with the goals of the curriculum reform, and whether the objectives of the planned use of key competencies.
