Steel Footbridge
Honeš, Filip ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Bajer, Miroslav (advisor)
The main subject of master´s thesis is design of the construction of pedestrian steel bridge via the river Bečva in Přerov. It was made a three different types of the steel construction. The resulting draft is worked up in details. Span of the pedestrian bridge is 104 metres. The carrying construction is made from a two mutually-opening arches. Between the arches are hanged a semi through type decks.
Footbridge in Nova Karolina in Ostrava
Havelka, Jiří ; Nečesal, Petr (referee) ; Marván, David (advisor)
The topic of the master’s thesis is a design of steel structure of footbridge. Footbridge goes across the roadways and railway. It is a design of a new structure in Nová Karolina in Ostrava. Span of footbridge is 200m. The footbridge’s superstructure is two steel arches angled toward each other and fixed to the foundation blocks. The supporting beam of the bridge deck is connected to the arch by tie-rods. The deck beam is a welded box section. The tie-rods are arranged to the V-shaped system. Deck of footpath is semi through type and orthotropic. The arches are connected at the top by lateral bracing. Lateral bracing is Saint Andrew's Cross type system.
Fingerprint Classification
Kostiha, Martin ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
Automatic identification based on fingerprints requires the input fingerprint to be matched with a large number of fingerprints stored in a database. Fingerprint classification provides an important indexing mechanism in fingerprint databases that reduces the search time and computational complexity. This thesis is dealing with Galton-Henry's  classification system. The classification method is based on orientation field and detection singularities using Poinaceré index.
Gothic Art in Bohemia and its mediation to pupils of primary school.
Kurucová, Nina ; Daniel, Ladislav (advisor) ; Fišerová, Zuzana (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with Gothic art in Bohemia. The work is divided into three parts. The first, theoretical part, contains a brief introduction, which includes basic information about the Gothic style, followed by exploration of the architecture of Monastery of St. Agnes, which is considered one of the first early Gothic buildings in Bohemia. Subsequently, architectural elements from the High Gothic period, specifically gargoyles and mascarons on the Cathedral of St. Vitus, Wenceslas and Adalbert in Prague, are examined. Lastly, the theoretical part includes a presentation of the works of Master Theodorik, as a representative of painting of this period. The didactic part describes an educational project for pupils of the 7th grade of primary school. This project builds upon the various types of Gothic visual arts - architecture, sculpture, painting. The thematic unit begins with a visit to the Monastery of St. Agnes of Bohemia. In the first art task, students create the facade of an urban Gothic house. During the second task, students focus on medieval fantasy creatures and their modeling in clay. The last artistic task is the transfer of a drawing from the original of Master Theodorik's works using a grid and subsequently painting it. The last part complements and concludes the entire...
Šíření volatility na kryptoměnových trzích
Krampla, Dominik
This thesis investigated the identification of conditional volatility in cryptocurrency markets and explored how uncertainty spreads among various cryptocurrencies. Using GARCH family models, conditional volatility was modeled, and the DCC-GJR- GARCH(1,1) model was applied to identify the spread of conditional volatility, accounting for the impact of asymmetric shocks. The empirical analysis was based on high-frequency 15-minute data for five cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Cardano, and Litecoin – from 23. April 2021 to 31. March 2022, with total number observations of 32 904 per cryptocurrency. The results suggest that uncertainty spreads most significantly between Bitcoin and Ethereum, while Ripple and Cardano are less affected by the spread of uncertainty from Bitcoin. The study also examines suitable combinations of cryptocurrency weights in various portfolio formation strategies, with the DCC-GJR-GARCH (1,1) strategy achieving the lowest risk.
Plan curved pedestrian bridge
Lachová, Alžběta ; Jurík,, Michal (referee) ; Koláček, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this master thesis is the elaboration of a study of a curved footbridge leading over the Svratka River. Two variants were created, from which a suspended structure was selected for subsequent modelling and assessment. The footbridge consists of a monolithic bridge deck made of prestressed concrete. The cross section of the bridge deck is designed as an asymmetrical box girder, suspended on one side by a pylon. The pylon is located on the inner side of the bridge deck at the junction of the apex and the centre of the circle and is anchored by hinges to the subgrade.
Bitcoin volatility estimation
Adaptation of a farm building
Juda, Jaroslav ; Požár, Michal (referee) ; Strnad, Jiří (advisor)
Focus of the bachelor thesis is to assess selected parts of the construction of a historical building. The work is divided into diagnostic and design part. The diagnostic part consists of the object´s measurement and the evaluation of the current state. The design part outlines the existing and newly designed structures, which are assessed in the static calculation. The output of the work are drawings of the object, static calculation and technical report.
Kuřim tennis hall
Křivánek, David ; Balázs, Ivan (referee) ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design and assessment of the steel structure of a tennis hall, which is located in the town of Kuřim. Floor plan dimensions are 40x84 m and construction height 16 m. The roof structure is designed as a purlinless system. The structure consists of 15 main trusses formed by arch trusses over an axial distance of 6 m. Spatial rigidity of the structure providing sway and longitudinal bracing. The trusses are interconnected by a system of longitudinal braces. The gable columns are pin-supported to the truss and do not transfer the load from the roof structure. The anchoring of main trusses and gable columns is designed as articulated with the base plate.
Hotel Welpas
Kalousová, Kamila ; Spáčil, Miroslav (referee) ; Sedláková, Markéta (advisor)
The project documentation addresses the design of a wellness hotel with a restaurant on a plot in the village of Pasohlávky. It is a two-storey partly basement building of an interesting quarter-circle shape. The vertical load-bearing walls are made of the Ytong system, the ceiling structures are reinforced concrete monolithic and the roof is warm flat with vegetation treatment. The plan also includes the connection of engineering networks to the building, modification and strengthening of adjacent areas on the plot, establishment of an internal area transport road to connect to the existing service road, parking space and landscaping.
