Trends of the Competitiveness and Employment Structures within the Lisbon Process

The thesis focuses on the employment structures and employment trends within the EU Member States using the ICSO-88 classification for the detailed analysis of the German and Czech labour markets. The aim of the thesis is the prove the readiness of the Lisbon process to fullfil its main goal - to kepp the high employment rates eitihin the EU.
Specific aspects of the work and motivational factors that influence the workers in tourism industry

The thesis is dedicated to the topic of employment and motivation of workers in tourism segment. The goal is to get a structure of motivational factors that are important for workers in travel agencies, hotels and information centres and find out, how the factors are present in the scope of employment. On this research the research among students of tourism schools takes up. The results are compared to the similar researches made on the Czech employees as a whole. For better understanding of the importance of workers for tourism business the thesis contains basic overview of the business that serve the tourist participants and detailed overview of the sources of statistical data regarding employment in the tourism segment.
SITUATION OF THE LABOR MARKET IN THE SOUTH MORAVIAN REGION IN THE TIME OF ECONOMIC RECESSION

By the end of the year 2007 and the beginning of the year 2008, the financial crisis struck the world market and over time the labor market as well. The thesis focuses on the analysis of establishing the labor market in the South Moravian region by comparing districts Brno-city and Vyskov. In the theoretical part, I explain relevant definitions in the field of labor markets and a definition of economic recession. Next, I discuss the South Moravian region's characteristics, which promote the district's means to resist the recession. I point out its weaknesses in the labor market as well. The practical part compares general indicators of labor markets in the districts Brnocity and Vyskov. The measures used are employment and unemployment rates. Towards the end, the thesis shifts its focus on employment policies. The Active Employment Policy is the main subject of concern in this chapter. Directors of various labor offices commented on the Active Employment Policy and its means of control, which helped clarify some inconsistencies resulting from the statistics.
Comparison of Labour Market in the Czech Republic and Japan

One of the countries, which belongs in the furthermost ones from the Czech republic not only from geographical, but also from technological, economic and demographic points of view, is Japan. This text is engaged in the analysis and functioning of the two labour markets and their main indicators, especially employment and unemployment. At the beginning is decribed also Japanese and Czech sphere of demography, which is connected with labour market as well. I assume that in respect of demography and labour market the Japanese situation is currently in a better position. The goal of this text is to describe development of the analysed variables and eventually find out the reasons of the current or future state.
Analysis of Labour Market in District Kutna Hora

Diploma thesis is focused on labour market flexibility in the Czech Republic and rate of unemployment in the district Kutna Hora. Study is divided into three parts. First main chapter is analyzing the rate of unemployment and its evolution in Kutna Hora. Main employers of the area are mentioned. Second part is referring to the problem of unemployment generally (problem of education, gender, length of unemployment). Third last part is related to the Taiwanese Foxconn Company which was founded in 2008 and has its head office in Kutna Hora and represents the strongest employer in the area. The main purpose of this thesis is to show the impact of Foxconn Company on Czech labour market and the situation of the rate of unemployment in district Kutna Hora between 2005 and 2010. Conclusion part includes a few recommendations.

The aim of this thesis is the analysis of international tourism and its impact on the economy of the member states of the European Union. The introductory chapter defines the concept of tourism, the second chapter describes the position of Europe in world tourism. Then the thesis deals with the economic importance of tourism in the European Union and the factors that influence the tourism of EU. The main part is devoted to the effects of international tourism to the economy of the member states. The final chapter outlines recent trends and prospects for further development of tourism.
Impact of financial crisis on economic cooperation among member states of NAFTA

The thesis deals with the impact of current financial crisis on economic cooperation among member states of NAFTA. The aim of first chapter is to analyze the economic impact of the agreement on the region. The causes of the ongoing crisis are briefly described in the second chapter, which is followed by a through analysis of chosen economic areas (trade in goods, foreign direct investment flows, remittances, etc.) The last chapter deals with the evaluation of government measures in order to overcome the crisis.
Employment policy in the region of Prachatice

Bachelor paper deals with employment policy in the region of Prachatice, focusing active and passive employment. The theoretical part focuses on labour market in terms of various economic indicators, as well as characteristics of active and passive employment policy and related conceptions. The practical part is focusing on description of Prachatice district compared with South Bohemia and Czech Republic in the years 2008 -- 2010. A main characteristic is labour market development. The main part of the paper is focused on development, goals and implementation, expenditures and overall evaluation of active employment policy; afterwards the development of passive employment policy. The conclusion is devoted to final overall evaluation and suggestions for improvements.
University Students and Graduates on the Labour Market

The thesis examines and analyses the high employment of students of universities as it has become a new trend in education recently. Training for the future profession is not concerned with the studies only but the work experience is involved as well. This thesis examines reasons of this trend and also its influence on students and the future ability of graduates to succeed in seeking job on the labour market. The theoretical part applies to the definition of the initial education which is confronted with reality due to empirical data obtained from the survey focused on working students.
